Please is this an advert for 2 cars or just one car? I'm not understanding the double price tag and muddled up vehicle poctures in the thread with different interiors. No engine bay pictures. Is it after agreeing on price that you want to fix the kind of engine buyer requests for? |

helpishere: Read well before you spew rubbish. The first corolla they saw was 2012 and they saw 2009 written on the belt and they moved on. The one he now choose was a 2011 corolla and he did not say he checked to comfirm the date. If you need glasses, i can send one to you because you are in need of one. There was a story on front page about a guy who gives all the details about a car before you buy and people were praising him and meanwhile the craps you call cars are also being documented by cars45 and una say na scam. All you guys could say is scam. Why did the car not overheat when they drove off with the car? How long did the car stay with them before it overheated? This is envy. This cars45 brought new ideas that is a solution in the industry. Bring yours and lets see what solutions that you are providing. Yes, I do use glasses, my lense is -2. Do you need pictures of preferred frame and delivery address? Why is it so hard for you to assimilate that the buyer checked and included it in her report that one vehicle's manufacture date on the report was different from what was on the seat belt while the other couldn't be found. As against your claim that the buyer didn't check. Right now, I'm wondering if we read the same post. |

helpishere: Just gone through the thread and I saw no fault with Cars45 there. You only negotiate to pay for what pleases you. If after the deposit they paid, and they took a mechanic along to crosscheck the info on the car, that would have saved them their loss. Besides from which country will a right hand corolla come from? SA or Uk? As is is a condition of you buy as you get. No responsibility on the part of the seller Hayastark: Few days after Christmas we arrived at their warehouse close to ndubuisi park. The agent a young lady signed and took us in. And then we began our search. We had spoken to her about a 2012 Toyota corrola we found on olx. She showed us the car. Bodily we were not impressed, we wanted a car we will not have to change it first body. Our search led us to a 2012 toyota corrolla. Body seem ok, interior also ok. "What year is this car? I asked "2012 "she said But the driver seat belt showed the model was 2009. I brought this to her notice, she responded and checked her phone again where they have the catalogue of cars. " thats what they wrote " Ok dh said bring the key" She brought the key and also car battery And we started the journey of trying to start the car in futility. The engine picked but refused to start Wetin come happen - I asked She called her male colleagues but the car doesn't start. So we moved on, continuing our search And then we saw it!!!! A toyota corrolla 2011 dark blue (oju yobo). Exterior clean, interior clean, in fact the only thing that did not look superb about the car is that it didn't have alloy rim (but that doesnt count) How much is this car? We asked she checked her phone called her oga and return to us That car mileage is 26000. And it is a 2011 model 26thousand wow? We were impressed https://www.nairaland.com/4368727/how-cars-45-ripped-us#65383668helpishere: Hahaha unfortunely w12 engines are dead in Nigeria and can't be compressed. I have never bought a car from them but their report on the venza made the clients to back off the deal. The buyer is on Nairaland and he is conversant with those that render inspection service on cars and he never used them. The only place that you can check the year of a toylta is by the driver side door or seat belt and the buyer never checked. Buying a rightie toyota is easy to detect by the power window button on the driver side working for the passenger side. Who are the people selling their used cars? Those who have been made desolate by the choice of mechanics they have and hence would want to get rid of the cars for their peace of mind. A friend once sold his Vw passat 2005 model in 2008 for 150k for his peace of mind. There are also those that sells their cars because of urgent cash needs and the Cars45 buys the car and pay them in full and now takes the risk of selling the same car as they bought it and without fixing anything. And you guys says they are fruadulent? Wake up guys, if they modify these cars before selling, if there is no report before buying, then they are scammers. But tie down their funds in buying crap cars and selling the same cars in their crap condition, they are the victims here o. You are such an incorrigible liar. By the way, W12 means 12 cylinder engine in a 'W' configuration. |

Dovehorizon: Please try to think outside the box, good interior design, standard equipments are also the ENGINE and GEARBOX of a hotel. If anything happens to your car, you hold your driver for it, should same happen to the hotel, u hold the investor. Tie the knots Bruv No. The point about no engine in hotel is that it isn't in motion and less likely to suffer impact and damage due to operator fatigue. chloride6: And how do you determine who contributes the major share? The one who spends more money. The only reason why an investor doesn't drive Uber himself is because his time is worth more than he may make during the same period driving.
A labour on site makes upwards of 2000 in a day. Bricklayers get 3000. It is to be expected that a driver makes more than that. Assumptions. Laborer on site has zero financial commitment to the project, even tools are provided for him. Same as driver. I think drivers are the largest contributors of resources in the e hailing business. I plan to drive Uber so I can understudy the business well for future investment, because e hailing hasn't even reached 1/10th of it's potential . Believe me e hailing will create billionaires. Self driving cars put drivers out of job. But I dont see myself driving Uber for more than 2 months. No offense and all respect to all the hard working driver here , I troway salute but Uber drivers are seriously underpaid. Making 10k a day after deliver and fuel is war except in weekends.
That is 300k a month. 300k a month for all my time? 12 hours a day? Amount invested, required qualifications and job skill level are more important than time spent on the job. The only requirements of a driver are being 18 and ability to drive. Also do not forget that there are no prospects of promotion with the job. A 12 hour job leaves you with little space for yourself and for development.
Basically, you may be permanently confined to the driver's seat for the foreseeable future if not careful.
The secret ingredient in Uber is the driver, if it is it the not the driver , Uber would just grade the car once and for all and assume that the car was all that was needed for a smooth trip. But no, it is not so.
Uber has always marketed it's business as an alternative to a conventional office job not as a subordinate or inferior job. Remember the it's an office with a different view advert. This requires considerable labour resources in terms of intelligence and strength.
Can a lazy man put in 12 hours of work? And if you think labour is labour, find one aboki trailer driver and give him your car to drive.
Bottom line, labour is not labour.
And your 2 million CAR is the second most important thing in the e haling business. Lagos yellow cabs had existed as well as car hires all around town before Uber came. So why the craze for Uber? Even people who can't afford it want a piece of this luxurious service.
I'll tell you what makes it special, a driver with a semblance of class and poise who can engage you in a conversation in a nice environment. That is why it's not a career. It's the quality control on cars, ease of request, bill calculations that cuts negotiations out, payment modes, records of trip and location monitoring... that makes ehailing riders' choice. It's a taxi e-hailing service, not a driver hailing service. Drivers are not as important as you make them sound. No driver is more important to rider or car owner than the vehicle he drives. The alternative to office job might just be an attempt to boost drivers' ego or encourage partners to driver their cars. |

dru23: Yes am in the states. And have been doing the business for 7months exact as of yesterday. The issue with parts, if you read my previous thread about elantra. At the start parts were change. Same parts were change after less than few months. We change mechanic, than we change to a new manager. So far so good, also I decided to import the major parts that are needed in the car that will last longer. I went on eBay, eBay is your friend o. I bought shocks for$100 both back and front. Ball joints, two scanner , stabiliser links. At a good price. Those items am putting it inside the booth of my next car. Disengage the booth , a friend of mine did the same thing and nothing happens to the stuff inside the car. I am not worried about the value of the car . My landing cost is very OK. After year or more I sell the cars. Worse comes to worse. Instead of selling the car, I will reconditioned the car over and put it back on the road. Business is all about strategy and everyone has a method to their madness. You can't compare my method to some. I have advantage my cars are tokunbo and my landing cost is almost the cost of buying very good or Grade A Nigerian used cars. I hope you know not everything on eBay is OEM, some sellers source from Chinese stores like Alibaba, taobao and the likes... So quality isn't guaranteed, except you are buying used parts or you are sure the person you are patronizing won't do such. If you have a fleet of cars with fitting parts, you can just salvage parts from accidented vehicles you buy and dismantle. |

Soldiers/police put their life on the line, to protect u, how much is their salary?
Drivers pls face ur job, you are not in my shoe, you not my business adviser, stop trying to tell me wat is gud 4 me.
Buy a car and tell yourself wat is good for u. You are being emotional sir, I'll reply you with a previous post... timifakay: I am neither a car owner nor driver on any e-hailing platform and have no intentions of being either. All this driver must have take home that's greater than what he remits to car owner or fleet manager is greed. How many people here who work for companies/organizations (whether big or small) can confidently say their monthly income is greater than 50% of what they make for their employers? The only reason people are thinking and coming out to say the driver should earn more money than car owner is because he has total access all resources in the business. In every situation I know or have heard of, investor/ employer/business owner makes more money than any employee. Every driver that wants to take the same amount of money home with car owner is directly setting himself up for failure because that means he has to make atleast three times the amount he remits; with each third going into car running/maintenance, car owner ROI and driver income. Example: Weekly delivery of 25k, shared maintenance or repair clause and driver wants to earn atleast 25k too means. Weekly remit =25k Car running/ maintenance contribution= 25k Driver take home =25k+X Total = 75k+X After 3 months max one of car or driver or both will be unavailable for a greater part of a week and driver won't be able to meet up for with that week's payment and this will be commencement of problem because owner thinks his remit his small and he shouldn't have any complain, driver will think owner is inconsiderate due to his sense of entitlement which in the first place led him to believe he should earn more than car owner. Driver will eventually suffer greatest loss because he will lose car - source of income, which will lead him to signing a worse contract on next offer. Vehicle owner still has his car, in a worst case scenerio of car total loss he gets compensation, if driver dies he may still be the one to get claim for driver's life and pass whatever he wants on to driver's family.
Any driver who thinks the value on his life his greater than the cost price of vehicle invested by car owner should claim he has terminal disease or was kidnapped for his family members and see how much they will raise within a week if it is more than the cost of the car take it and go and buy car, then become a driver partner. If not, be humble and contented with a reasonable amount that you can easily replicate monthly.
I am not jollof, I can't make everyone happy. |

alstarmayo: Driver doesn't make the biggest loss, he will dump your car and move unto the next one. We have seen drivers crashed and knocked their partner's engine, they are still driving today In the case of deformity arising from accident or a fatal accident, driver suffers biggest loss. Comprehensive insurance takes care of accidents to a large extent. jpworld: Until you invest ur hard earned money in this business, then you know who suffers the biggest lost.
when driver bring that damn chicken change of 40k, they think is big money, nobody is talking about how much you invested.
For example, if you buy a corolla of 1.8M, in 1year, you have not recover ur money, and b4 that one year, the state you will meet that car, you won't believe it.
A friend of mine bought corolla last October, he gave to driver, the next day driver hard a serious accident, car damaged seriously, estimate price to repair car, 400k, owner has no money, his millions gone, he is now been forced to sell the car as scrap.
Many of u drivers have rich families, tell them to invest, they won't you will come here preaching humanity, that stupid humanity should start from your family. Driver puts life on the line Carry owner puts money on the line. All nah risk, but a contented, relaxed and careful driver reduces the risk. |
