Mtcheew.... students of two substandard universities fighting over nothing. What's the point in bickering over which university is the best in Nigeria when we'll know that none of our universities, not even UI can compete with South African universities. Our universities are substandard instead of fighting over which is the best, the reasonable ones among the students should develop themselves into great individuals. When you graduate your school won't speak for you nor your certificate what will do the talking for you is the knowledge you've acquired over time. Its unfortunate that only a few students reason along this line. |

All this Eastern and Southern African folks are simpletons! They believe so much in their men of God, if they are told to rub their bodies with faeces i'm dead sure they will gladly do it without hesitation. Awon sugomu alatarodo, dopemu eniyan! |
French President Emmanual Macron has been told that he is too arrogant by his own wife Brigitte, who claims she is fed up of his high-handed manner. Brigitte Macron has urged his inner circle to tell him the truth because she feels like she is the only person who risks telling him when he is being high-handed, reports Le Parisien newspaper. According to Daily Mail, she reportedly confided in members of her entourage that President Macron is ‘too arrogant, too snappy’, and nobody dares tell him otherwise. This comes as a new book revealed Mrs Macron has allegedly vowed retribution to the person who started whispers that her husband was secretly in a gay relationship. These remarks came to light in a new biography about Michèle ‘Mimi’ Marchand, an adviser to the Macron family. The book has also left the couple red-faced by claiming that they were dependant on PR adviser Ms Marchard, 71. President Macron has been forced to deny rumours that Mr Marchand used her connections to figure out who fuelled the gay rumours, with Mrs Macron at the helm of the operation. The newspaper also noted that Mrs Macron, who is 25 years older than her husband, is sick of the press focusing on her age. She was also allegedly infuriated that social media posts wrongly claimed that she had lied about her date of birth. A friend of Brigitte told them: ‘She’s sick of talk of her age, she’s had enough.’ The president has recently been facing struggles of his own as he grapples to reshuffle his government following two resignations of ministers. One of the two ministers claimed that his presidency ‘lacked humility’. hardeycute:Olamide doesn't feed you, cloth you nor pay your house rent so why are you against those who have a different view about him. Better don't die on top celebs matter. |
I still don't understand why people are celebrating Olamide for signing mediocrities, the only top quality artist Olamide has ever signed is Adekunle Gold. Where's chinko ekun, viktoh and co where are they today, its not about signing quantity its about signing quality artist who later become something great. Don Jazzy signed d'banj, wande coal, tiwa savage, banky W signed Wizkid, look at this people today they've done great in the industry. olamide should stop signing quantity and start signing quality artist. |
I still don't understand why our brothers from the East are so desperate to be in control of a country they named a "ZOO". Is it that the sun has failed to rise in their land or they are just totally confused and short of ideas. Its high time the Igbos make a stand and stop wavering, if they want Biafra then they should call for a referendum. If they want to stay in Nigeria then they should do what is right by joining forces with one of the other major tribe and stop playing politics of hate. The Igbos aren't ready to make allies with the other major tribes yet they want to produce a PRES. NO! Nigerian politics doesn't work that way you make allies to step forward. The Igbos should drop their ego and make allies with the other major tribes if they are really serious about producing a president in Nigeria. Be objective rather than subjective, learn from the Yorubas. |

sage101:No man's land yet No Igbo nor hausa has ever been the Governor of Lagos state or Oba of Lagos. Keep telling yourself that to sooth yourself, the indigenes of Lagos state (Yoruba's) knows themselves and if they choose they can decide to send every alien who isn't yoruba out of their state. We all see how they do deal with dem Igbo boys in Alaba and computer village. Igbos always want what they can't have! |
sage101:I never knew there were IGBO LAGOSIANS, HAUSA LAGOSIANS etc. All I know is that Lagos is in the west and the west is the abode of YORUBA's. Living in America for 20/30yrs doesn't make you an american same way living in Lagos for 20/30 yrs doesn't make you a Lagosian. Let Lagos be and leave it to rightful indigenes, they don't drag your enugu, kaduna with you therefore don't drag their Lagos with them. If you aren't contented with happenings in Lagos then go back to the East, South, North or Middle Belt where ever you come from. |
kodded:the major difference between messi and ronaldo is that, while RONALDO won a trophy for portugal messi didn't win even a sh!t for argentina. There are just two football players in the world, 1. Ronaldo 2. Others. |

safarigirl:Yes its intelligence but we'll apply our intelligence in various aspects of life, some apply it in music, movies, art, books, technology etc. Intelligence does not mean you should be good at everything. A professor of mathematics can tell you all the formula in Mathematics in just 10/15 mins without bringing out a pen but don't be surprised if he doesn't know the name of the current pope or who invented the microsoft windows. |
Abuja – Prof. Adekunle Adeyeye, a Nigerian scientist based in the USA, has emerged the only African scientist of the American Physical Society (APS) fellows of 2018 for his contributions to the Physics enterprise. This is contained in the official website of the APS on Monday. APS is a non-profit membership organization working to advance the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, outreach, advocacy, international activities, among other mandates. APS represents over 55,000 members who include physicists in the academia, national laboratories and industries in the U.S. as well as across the world. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeyeye was nominated alongside other 153 scientists around the world. Speaking with NAN, Adeyeye called the government to spear-head the responsibility of building an enabling environment for the growth of the science and technology sector in Nigeria. Adeyeye, who is a lecturer at the National University of Singapore, USA, said creating an enabling environment for the growth of the sector would encourage scientists in the diaspora to come home and invest their knowledge. “For the science sector to grow and scientists in the diaspora to return to Nigeria, we need visionary leaders and enabling environment that is conducive for innovation. “The science and technology area needs investment in infrastructure and funding,” Adeyeye said. He, however, said that his fellowship membership was an honour and equally confers credibility on Nigeria at the international community of scientists. OgogoroFreak:There's a difference between you drawing a real snail and you designing an object to resemble a snail. As a graphics designer its crystal clear that google doodle has a semblance to a snail. Seems you didn't read the illustration above or you are just being ignoramus. |
I woke up this morning around 4 a.m, logged on to make a google search then the Google doodle celebrating Nigeria’s 58 years of independence popped up on my screen and all I could think of was a snail. As a guy with some graphics designing skills I didn’t think much, I already knew the Google doodle was inspired by a snail only that Google designers were smart with the design by shaping the shell in form of a semi circle, adding a cartoonized image of Zuma rock inside the shell, shaping the foot and head of the snail in a rectangular form with the left and right edge facing the North-West and North-East direction respectively, top edge towards the Northern direction. Nigerian’s may see this as an insult from Google but are Google designers wrong about the depiction? No!. Considering the current state of affairs of the country, they are not far from the truth our dearly beloved nation is still crawling rather than running or flying. Nigerian’s shouldn’t take this as an insult but instead should be motivated by the Google doodle and start working towards the progress of the country called “NIGERIA”. Its high time we set our priorities and get them right, we should be long gone from the days of crawling a country with large amount of resources and a population of 196 million people shouldn’t be crawling but either running or flying. “NIGERIA, THE TIME IS NOW.” cc: lalasticlala, mynd44

Ezechinwa:I'm actually a deist but what I said up there is the simple truth. |
Nigerian's pray, fast and conduct vigils like no other country yet they suffer and their country rot like no other country. Instead of taking some necessary actions they are dependent on a God who can never come down to clean up their mess and make their nation better. The average Nigerian has seen religion as the way to success where as the way to success is with our thoughts and our actions. Nigerian's want a better life but they are not ready to do the maths that begets a better life. You can pray, fast and conduct vigils from today till 2050 Nigeria will still keep on retrogressing because the only thing you do is pray and hope on God to give you a better country. God will not come down to govern us, God won't come down to fight boko haram, God won't come down to give us a working system, God won't come down to give us strong institutions. We must do all this by ourself if we want a better Nigeria, God won't do them for us. "Action is the key, not prayer and fasting" |
