Freshtwins: Happy new year guys! Last time I was here, I had a failed cycle after using embryo glue, intralipids, acupuncture and all. I rested a little because we needed to recuperate from the millions that went down. Also travelling back and forth from the US was a struggle. Taking several days off work, and losing both time and money. We decided to try surrogacy. Grabbo hospital Abuja advised we look for a surrogacy agency. We did and went with Chris World surrogacy (someone here introduced me to them). To the glory of God…I am a mother of twin girls who are 1 year old now ( 1st try…2 surrogates = negative , 2nd try …. 2 surrogates positive). One of our surrogates lost her pregnancy after 4/5 weeks ( she was carrying one). The twins stayed, though they came early but are very healthy. This year, we are back to Grabbo for gender selection for a boy. Myself and two surrogates as advised by the agency. Testing is in a few days. Hoping for the best. IVF has no best hospital, you would have to pray, do research and ultimately do what works for you. Baby dust to us all. Plus the agency is affordable. Gender selection was not affordable and I promised not to do it again (about 12 million Naira for two donors). If you are like me and cannot afford to travel back and forth, you may consider surrogacy. My girls have their US passport valid for 5 years. The agency gave us all we needed for the embassy, also Grabbo hospital gave us all we needed too. All documents was accepted at the US consulate in Abuja one time. That’s why we have the liver to try again. So help me God.
I hope this info sets someone free or helps someone make a decision. Parental order is arranged by agency. I just watched a video on tiktok with a lady going back and forth to court to get parental order. I did not go through a single stress for that. So so happy for you and your family 🎊 |

PositiveEnergy2: Happy New Year everyone!
After two failed ivfs, millions down the drain, we want to try again in Abuja in this 2026 but most of the reviews I have been seeing her about Abuja fertility hospitals date back to about 2/3 years ago.
Can anyone help out with some suggestions and recommendations about fertility clinics and hospitals in Abuja that give some human touch and care to patients instead of those that focus purely on money without considering the attendant psychological effects their lack of care and patient friendly focus have on their patients?
Any recommendation and costs overview with attendant success rates will be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance 🙏 Many good hospitals in Abuja. A close family member got twins from Joje plus 3 other people she later introduced. I had my daughters from Prime Care in 2023 and 2025. |

JAAY52: I will be following up and sharing my experience as it unfolds. Maybe it will help someone in future. I went for the ANC appointment today and I was sent for obstetrics scan, Doppler studies and FBS with 2 hours postprandial glucose test The result of the scan showed every other thing is ok except the abdominal circumference which is 3-4weeks behind. Sugar test will be done tomorrow. I'm very scared and I don't know what to think, but I know everything will be ok. Everything will be ok in Jesus name |

Towerofgrace: That should be carpal tunnel syndrome, you can read about it. I had it during my previous pregnancy thankfully it was only in my right wrist though i had tingling and numbness in all my right fingers as well, (women are superheros i swear) some have it in both wrists. It will gradually go away but she needs to rest the wrist as much as possible, you can get her a wrist guard/strap to help ease the pressure and pain on the wrist some say calcium tabs will help, let her complain to her Dr, I know i was given a prescription for mine then
*CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME*
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a common condition that affects many pregnant women. It's estimated that up to 62% of pregnant women experience CTS symptoms.
Causes of CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Excess fluid retention*: As you mentioned, excess water in the body can cause swelling in the wrists, leading to compression of the median nerve. 2. *Hormonal changes*: Relaxin, a hormone produced during pregnancy, can cause ligaments to relax, leading to nerve compression. 3. *Posture changes*: As the belly grows, pregnant women may experience changes in posture, leading to increased pressure on the wrists.
Symptoms of CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Numbness or tingling*: In the hands, fingers, or wrists 2. *Pain or burning*: In the wrists, hands, or fingers 3. *Weakness*: In the hands or fingers 4. *Tingling or shock-like sensations*: When performing activities like driving, reading, or holding objects
Managing CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Take regular breaks*: To rest your hands and wrists 2. *Maintain good posture*: To reduce pressure on your wrists 3. *Avoid bending or twisting*: Your wrists or hands 4. *Use proper ergonomics*: When working or performing activities 5. *Wear a wrist splint*: To support your wrists, especially at night 6. *Exercise regularly*: Gentle exercises like wrist extensions and flexions can help
In most cases, *CTS symptoms resolve on their own after pregnancy.* However, if your symptoms are severe or persistent, consult your healthcare provider for further guidance and support. I had this during my 8th month until after delivery, when it didn't go away I went to the pharmacy where I was given some calcium tablets and it went after few days |

suzzyrims: My story might just save a life.
My due date is supposed to be May 8 but I delivered first week in March.
On the 2nd of March, I was feeling weak, I had constipation, my legs were swollen, I had back pain and lower tummy pain so I went to the hospital to complain to the gynae but the gynae said I was fine that my symptoms were just because I was already in my third trimester.
On the 4th of March, the pain got worse, I went back to the hospital and this time, I met another gynae. After I narrated all my symptoms the gynae examined baby's heartbeat and said I was fine. Even though my body was feeling awkward, I gave in to the gynae's opinion since I had met two different gynaecologist.
On the 5th of March. I slept only to wake up at 12 midnight to excruciating tommy pain, I taught I wanted to poo so I went to the restroom , I was able to pass a little poo. The pain continued. By the time I got to the restroom the second time, What I passed out was clotted blood. Fear gripped me
I woke hubby up and we rushed to the hospital that midnight. Before we got to the hospital, blood was gushing out and my cloth was already socked in blood.
When we got to the hospital, I was rushed to emergency, I was placed on the bed and the nurses were trying to examine me when the baby came out on her own without any push
Note I was just 31 weeks pregnant. The blood was still coming out so the doctor was trying to stabilize me and the baby was abandoned for about 20 minutes because they had taught the baby had passed giving the condition with which I delivered. After about 20 minutes, my baby was moving her body, that was when the doctor paid attention and checked and to the glory of God my baby was fine so she was moved to NICU
To the glory of God,my baby will be three months in a couple of weeks.
Please and please if you ever feel awkward about your health during pregnancy , don't stop demanding for answers even if means going to another hospital. A simple scan would have probably saved my situation . Waooo. What a testimony!!! I am so happy for you and your baby. May she be the coolest of God's eye . Congratulations 👏🎉 |
