April mamas, I’ve ported to March.
My twin boys came on Thursday 23rd March at 36wks 5days, weighing 2.0 & 2.25kg. It was an emergency CS and I’m still in recovery.

I was scheduled for ELCS for today 30th March but I started contracting seriously last week Thursday evening(I had been managing preterm contractions since 32weeks). We quickly went to the hospital and I was booked immediately for the procedure. Babies were brought out at 11:53 & 54pm respectively and I was wheeled out early morning Friday.
I thank God so much because despite their weights, they didn’t need any newborn special care. I am really grateful to God for these gifts.
I wish the remaining belleful mamas a smooth pregnancy and safe delivery.

hello house has any body had a failed IVF due to endometrial lining not thick enough to carry the embryos? I learnt for IVF the endometrial lining should be 8cm.
I want to ask what drugs or what can one do to help to thicken it before IVF. I need advice pls. Thank u

When I was to go for another cycle I was placed on progynova because my lining showed 7.2cm thickness but was 8.7 on the day of transfer.

I didn't, it was the reason I started ante natal early thinking I will but the Dr said I won't since it was in 1st trimester. I didn't know it had occurred because after scan I did @6 weeks I didn't do another till 10 weeks . So it was there until 12 weeks but at 16 weeks , it was totally gone.

My friend had hers in 2nd trimester, she bleed heavily so much she thought she lost both . Baby is almost a year now .

Good day mamas, how we dey? I'm actually here to rant coz it's been eating me up for days....when I was about 6weeks I noticed any small stress like this I'd start seeing blood spottings, would have to use sanitary pads, so I went to the hospital and register for Anc, they did their normal check ups and tests, and I was told to get an ultrasound to know how things were fairing, which I was told I'm expecting twins, I was elated and all, and on subsequent scans, about 3 ultrasound the doctor kept telling me the 'babies" were doing great, on Wednesday I decided to go to another centre to get second opinion was actually eager to know their gender, only for me to be told it's a single fetus!!! I had to insist to double check coz I've had about 4 of the scan at my hospital and I was told double fetus.....this has been messing with my mental health, my husband told me to be calm maybe one is hiding but it's hard to miss twins at 23weeks I believe. I'm confused, I don't know what to do, I've honestly not been myself ever since

Wao , maybe you had a vanishing twin in 1st trimester but never knew. Your body will absorbed it without you bleeding but if it occurred in 2nd trimester you would have had a heavy flow .

I had a vanishing twin as at 7w 4days .

I didn't do anything, contraction started on it own around 10:05pm,I was 7cm dilated by the time I was checked around past 11pm.

Good evening mothers. Please I need a quick reply. Is scent leaf good for pregnant women? I know it has a lot of benefits too but pls,has anyone eat it from early stage to the last without any issues? Or when did you start using it?

Pls avoid it as precautionary measures.

Am 25wk , placenta is posterior , did a scan today on request of my Dr, still waiting for his remarks but the result is ok . Maybe it's because am a 1st time mum so I don't know what to expect. Even the Sono said he can feel it when he was doing the scan and asked if I did too .

When I was to change hospital after 2 trials , one thing I made sure of is easy access to the Dr, if I can't reach him on phone or WhatsApp to ask questions then it's a no no for me since I don't stay in the same state as the hospital so can't walk in. This was the determinant when I chose A over B in Abuja . I can't pay and not have my questions answered appropriately, sufficiently and on time .

Atimes, I feel the way some pple respond to post here is not okay. some of us here don't know any medical terms, even when the doctor explain, we still need to ask to get other pple options and advice, especially those that had it, what their experiences were.

I am not afraid of my doctor I pay. we ask questions to get pple experiences to also help us to ask more questions when we have appointment with doctors.

Yes my own doctor said something about reducing it, but the way he said it ( is try to reduce your carbohydrate) to me I taught that is normal thing like reduce your fatty food.

I have to still send this result to another doc to still check and she pointed it out, she just chatted me and explained that it need to be less. and it affects fertility, I was concerned, so I posted to get pple options which I am glad I did. At least I can confirm from my doctor on the medication to use to reduce it

I posted this post in diff fertility group and to my greatest surprise see comments, no body responded to me the way u did , pple shared their experiences and I even got advices. with all these comments and advices it will make me to ask my doctor more questions when next I have appointment.

pls all of us are here to seek knowledge and get pple experiences . we should endeavour to help one another, no matter how the person send the post. Thank you.

Is having a full bladder compulsory because I was asked to pee before the transfer was done. Because my first transfer was not successful.

I was asked to have a full bladder, I drank water until it was overfull so much that the Dr had to attach catheter to remove some of the urine .

So I encouraged a 52yr old family member who never had kids to go for IVF. Told her about the popular ones in Abuja . Her 1st trial she complained the Dr went ahead to make the transfer despite the report that there is fluid in her uterus . So she went for the 2nd trial in January, to God be the glory she is 6 weeks today .

If your bp has been unstable then 37-38 weeks is what the doctors will allow and I also know doctors don’t like to induce women with bp issues because pains from induction raises the blood pressure.
I need you to be open minded that all will be well and anything can happen between now and even tomorrow, the baby can turn at any point in time, it’s also good to be open minded to whichever option that eventually arises and that God will take perfect control. If you eventually have a c-section you will heal perfectly and it’s not as bad as some people portray it to be, bodies differ so some people heal faster and also pain management is very key post op, if you have good pain management therapy from your OB you will hardly feel any excruciating pains.
I’m wishing you all the best and also fingers crossed that everything will be okay.

CS is not painful as it seems , pain threshold matters .

I have been avoiding TT injection because of what I read here but was surprised I only felt a numbing sensation for few minutes and that was all.

@Cutiemama, relax your mind and be positive towards whichever option will be presented to you taking into consideration your BP level. Happy waddling and safe delivery to us all.

Good Evening Mamas. Remember I came on Monday to say I was seeing blood and was advised to go the hospital. I was told to do a Transvaginal scan and the result was that uterine fibroids coexist with the pregnancy of 5wks 2 days(+/- 1week). I was told to repeat scan in 2 weeks and come back to the hospital and observe bed rest and was also prescribed duphaston. Meanwhile I am still bleeding. I wasn't having pain before but this afternoon I started experiencing pain in my tummy and waist. Please mamas I need your contribution and support. I am so confused and downcast. I don't want to loose my baby.

It's well with you, you will carry your baby to term in Jesus name. Make sure you adhere to what the Dr says and pray along.
