They were taught all their lives to obey the supreme leader, they don't know anything else, and they don't even know they're being oppressed due to their lack of access to movies, internet etc they don't know they can question dictatorship, they don't know they're suffering, plus when you commit a crime there they don't punish only you, they involve your whole family and you all get into trouble, no one wants to be a scapegoat. the same stories they told you about Ghadaffi. |

Procashtips: Even with the evidence posted by the husband which I just reposted? That's not evidence bro. That's a discussion that happened way before the woman even entered labour. There's a reason the discussion preceding it was not included. The question is, what is on the power of attorney he signed and submitted to the hospital? Not some inclusive 2 lines from a long WhatsApp discussion. |

hybrid77: He was only supporting the idea and not giving consent. The next chat explains his mindset at the time.
I can tell you that it is easier for the doctor to have a cs done right away, than to have to monitor a woman for hours during labour. People just see that agreed and believe that's a consent to cs. That particular discussion was even way before she entered labour. He had probably suggested to the consultant that he didn't want a cs and he explained situations where a cs may be necessary to which he agreed From the way the labour events played, it's obvious he hesitated on the idea of cs. He is a knowledgeable person in the field, why wait over 12 hours with your wife and baby unattended to? I guess he was hoping she'd start contractions later and give birth naturally. |

Despite how knowledgeable he is on the subject, he sat down for hours upon hours hoping that the woman would give birth by pushing when with his knowledge he could have saved her life by being the one to push for cs immediately he realized she's not dilating. |

The west are only able to have a stranglehold on us because we allow self serving, conniving vermin's to be out leaders. If our actual representatives are not given leeway, we would have found solutions to problems bedeviling this nation. As long as we have leaders supported by the west while holding the illusion and delusions that because we held elections we chose our leaders, our resources will continue to serve the interests of parasites from Europe and America.
If we are serious, we must start by holding every leader our street accountable, then the wards, the local government, the state and ultimately the federal government. We cannot leave the one we have an actual chance if influencing to start with ones we aren't anywhere equipped enough to fight.
So far, there is no class consciousness. Majority have been destroyed mentally and consciously with tribalism and religion. None of these have economic or political value to the individual as much as class consciousness. No revolution can occur without acknowledgement of class and a conscious effort to restructure society.
For now, make we still dey play. Each year, APC plunges us into deeper economic problems yet what triggers many is tribal sentiment. As if anyone gets a better bargain in the market based on tribe or religion. Make we still dey play. |

The police will look for evidence. The call log of the girl phone is there.
After that, maybe the police or any agency tasked with Occupational Safety might want to take another look at the work environment....
No be so UK dey do? Instead of these largely vseless civil service go do their work, the worl work they're paid for, they go just dey look like sheep! On point. The trial won't happen on social media. Let the police investigate and prosecute appropriately. |

Kellie069: It’s not about how he sees himself ! It’s about who the govt recognizes him as! He is not a citizen !!! Passport are for travels, true! But it’s also an identity carrier! You are a citizen of any country you possess their passport! And as an immigrant who came into the country for over 4 decades, if he doesn’t have his passport, then he’s just An African immigrant who resides there! Please I'm tired of unnecessary arguments. Go back to the original post I quoted and understand the context of my submission. Don't just create a context that suits you. A context already exists. The original person I quoted asked "if you don't have a passport of the country, how do you claim to be a citizen?' Which I answered most citizens do not have passports. It's pretty straightforward. |
Travel › Re: Ghanaian Man Told He Is Not British After 42 Years In UK by Timoleon(m): 1:48pm On May 17, 2024 |
Kellie069: Not for an immigrant!!! After spending the required years and meeting the citizenship requirements, you are to apply for citizenship and when you pass, then you become a passport holder, which makes you a citizen of that country! In this scenario though, we don't have an individual who sees himself as an immigrant. He sees himself as a citizen. Back to the post you quoted. Most citizens of any given country do not have passports. They only get it when they need to travel. |

He assumed he's a citizen already since he wasn't disturbed.
That's not how the law works, but he could be exempted since he was a senior citizen Yes. He had also married a British citizen twice, gave birth to kids too. He took things for granted. |

babsbolad: He is an immigrant who left Ghana for the UK over four decades ago, he wasn't born in the UK. You don't need to apply for a passport if you're are born in the UK until you want to travel out of the UK, and you must have lived in the UK continuously for nothing less than seven years before you can have a British passport. But in his own case, as an immigrant, once you have stayed in the UK ( on a sponsorship visa ) for five years, you'll have to apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and after that you are qualify to apply for a citizenship. Irrespective of your immigration status in the UK, you have to follow the due process. he didn't that in his earlier years, managed to live in the UK without problems, married a British woman without problems, was involved with police and even awarded, married a second British woman. He never needed the passport. The reason he applied was because he wanted to travel. If not, he had taken it for granted that having married a citizen, given birth to British children, UK was his home. Should he have applied for a passport or even citizenship earlier? Yes. He was however not in a situation where he needed to. |

Kellie069: But if you don’t have a passport of a country, then how do you claim to be a citizen?? You can reside and work in a country and enjoy every benefit that citizens enjoy but that doesn’t make you a citizen! For more than 40years, you didnt apply for passport because you thought it was your country, when nor be say na there dem for born you! You are an immigrant that has stay and work permit! That’s all Most citizens of any given country don't have passports. People only apply for passport when they want to travel. Having a passport is not a requirement for citizenship. It is a requirement for travel though. |
