The Rolex DayDate is among the cheapest model in its collection.

I will take him serious when he give out a Rolex Yatchmater II (ask Adekunle Churchhill), Skydweller (Davido) or Seadweller (me, lolz) not to talk of the vintage Rolex Daytona (Freeze).

By the way, let's see the lug for the serial number.

Last week I saw one of those celebs in a party and he was forming that he bought his Rolex (a Day Just) for 10mil and that he want to sell it for 8mil, I checked the watch and told him to sell it anyone for 60k amd the guy almost broke my head with bottle. When I schooled him for 5mins the guy just humble.

I went to Lagos last year and stayed with my friend at Bode Thomas somewhere in Surulere, one night I couldn't sleep cos' almost everyone had their generator on, so I got up, went to the 4 generator set and started peeing into their fuel tank one after the other.

The next day while dressing up to leave for the airport, I heard the neighbours complaining about one strange happening about all their generator set getting faulty and refusing to start....

Me ...... *lip sealed*

Yeah. Call it childish but I was happy tongue

Suicide, yes, and strife. Many years ago, I'd be happy to say it's PP. These days, I'm not so sure anymore. Modern poetry has started to take very strange forms. What do you think, texanomaly timpaker pdizzle ?
You a quite right.

Modern poetry has evolved into various "strange" forms in the 20th century as the notable form of expression has always been the free verse form, and I think poets are mostly influenced by its ability to allow one pen their thoughts without constraints.

Also, going by the recent happenings and outright criticism by poets on how the world view poetry, some opined that poetry has lost its uniqueness as many prefer to write without beautifying it with hundreds of forms nor evoke the reader's thought. It is on this fact that Adrian Mitchell said most people will ignore poetry as long as poetry goes on ignoring most people.

But in truest fact, poets now justify their poems by the happenings and norms of poetry that they see is acceptable, an instance is the Noble prize award of literature to Bob Dylan which is an oblique view of how some poets view things. Its clearly different from the orthodox approach as modern poetry sees literature itself in a very large form. These contemporary poems of literature are judged based on lyrical content than style or skills with some strange forms of poetry found music, films, and even paintings.

I'm fine Bro. Joe. Just busy with lots of research and office work. About enjoying a very long break from it and I'm guessing spending some part in Lagos (on the condition that traffick jams won't last more than 5mins at any stop and no much crowd).

How is the poetry section?

Did they force them to watch it? Cos' the last time I checked, you'll have to call DSTV to activate the channel after which they would have verified your age through your email and phone number.

Why do some people think they can force culture and tradition down our throats ?

Some of us don't like all the African Magic channels cos' of the voodoo/juju things they do there. Is that also portraying Naija in bad or good light?

So nobody has the gaddamn right to tell me what to watch with my hard earned money that I used in subscribing for it.

And if they calm to be educated as they seem to portray themselves, they'd notice the "18+" rating to know that one must be matured enough to watch it, and in case they can't control their wards, they should lock the channel with just a 4 digit password. Abi that one hard to do?

Please, they should save us the ranting and stay away from their DStv till April.

RomanceRe: A Romantic Poem For Your Love Or Foe by timpaker(m):
After I Followed You

There's a scar
In the forgetful sky

But for a retentive star
In your yesterday eye

I saw me in you
With a thimble of tear

Flooding within your eye tissue
Bereft of careless cares

For a love so young
Of a professional novice

Whose emotion was wrong
For the world to notice

Yet you saw through it
In it's opaque form

From my head down to my feet
Knowing what I'd become

If you saw my naked heart
In it's vulnerability

But you crossed my path
And shook my agility

Your love ignites me,
It fans my lowest ember

When you talked to me gently,
But you can't remember

That loving you was a pain
That only your absence can replace

So it'd be vain
If we see face to face.
CelebritiesRe: Freeze Advises Oyedepo To Sell His Private Jet To Educate His Students For Free by timpaker(m): 6:35pm On Dec 14, 2016
Nigeriatraining:
Understanding is bliss! Freeze works for his money, he earns the money, he is an OAP, he gets deal and businesses. So therefore he has rights to all he earns. If he doesn't offer help to the needy, he has moral right not to. But a Pastor who earns money off members offerings and tithes, with mostly poor people as members who seeks the face of God for their blessings and materials gains. It is only right that these pastors helps the needy in the church. These pastors drives on fast and exoctic cars on members money, Are you blind to these facts?

A pastor owing universities, Private Jets, Cars, Houses and to top it all been arrogant about it..

What a SHAME!!!

You did not understand my comment. I never defended anyone, I only justified to need to do the little or whatever we can with our own resources.

I'm not a fan of the aforementioned pastor or any pastor for that matter, I only said his way of life is no different from the person he is accusing.

Yes Mr. Freeze may own businesses that fetches him money to foot his love for watches (mind you, I and Freeze share the same interest in watches so I understand such love as it is my passion too to always trend with the latest timepiece).

Akon is also a businessman with juicy endorsements but he is transforming the lives of millions in Africa through his project. Mr. Freeze, with all his business deals and profit can be assumed to be selfish 'cos he would rather use his profits or income to buy a timepiece to satisfy his insatiable need for high end watches rather than give back to his society or impact in the lives of his people (except he wants to do it for show).
The pastor too, from what I have learnt owns several published bestselling books to his name and can comfortably make a living from it too.

I don't think anyone owes anybody any explanation on how one decides to spends his money. In this case Freeze doesn't have any moral right to accuse or criticise the pastor 'cos he does exactly the same thing too.
CelebritiesRe: Freeze Advises Oyedepo To Sell His Private Jet To Educate His Students For Free by timpaker(m): 4:03pm On Dec 14, 2016
So says a man who's as extravagant as a pastor.

Let him sell his watches - he owns about 4 Rolex watches starting from the Rolex DateJust, DayDate, Day Tona and Yatch Master II (4 of them combined are worth about 25million not to mention his Tag Heuer, Zenith, among other people watch collections ).

He's telling someone to sell off one of his jets to better the live of mankind in his community while his collection of watches is around 100 million (yeah you read /heard me right). The fact is, you mustn't be very rich as a modern day pastor, or a businessman to help the needy, like he said Akon provided electricity for about 2million people in Africa.... So Mr. Freeze, what have you done for mankind or for the people living in your community?

Or are you waiting to become a pastor or a musician before you do anything?

Poems For ReviewRe: The Shot by timpaker(op):
The Shot (Snipper's Gaze)

Sweating, from a distance,
Palm blistering still

My rifle seeks a chance
To lock a perfect kill.

Striking the photographer's pose
Amid sandy sweats

Waving on the fountain of my nose
Steaming my lens wet.

My arm still-steady
Like a robotic mannequin,

Eyes yet not ready,
Prey visibly unseen.

So I stood still as silence,
With a squinting stare

Submitting to the jungle's ambience
And my instincts utmost care.

A glint passes by
My target was locked,

Making my patience sigh
And my blink knocked.

I bit my lip
And lowered my finger,

Taking a sip
Of breath for the trigger.

Kposaar!!! Goes the thud of hell,
Silence awakens.

A head shot and he fell,
His skull broken.

Attack!!!...

Poems For ReviewRe: The Shot by timpaker(op):
The Shot (Survivor)

Many bodies decaying in the bush
Some manuring dead trees to life
And a soldier wanders into its track of dangerous rife,
Knowing he could be them in a second but further he pushed.
His gun grew hungry and his dagger thirsty
And his tongue swam in flooded desert.
He walked, he crawled and rolled
Till sleep dressed up in death's garment
And tried to seduce him.
He could no longer smell life
But he had to survive,
If not for anything but for the tale.

Night came and the cold crept in,
Death seem closer to him
As he stares at his dark picture on the ground,
The moon flashed its teeth and the bush dimly glow,
Allowing him take another look at his surrounding...
Still nothing...
Help seems to have absconded.... he mused.

Tired and hopeless,
The music in his heart began to loose its beat,
The dreaded door of death began to open
With a billowing cold from heat,
But one sound was confusing to him,
It was like the earth was falling down...
He closed his eyes to surrender to death
But it fled, its cowardice amused him
And that he wondered till few saving hands grabbed him.

He decided to wait for death's return
And stole a peep from his funeral.
He had been nicely dressed but his beret was tilted wrongly,
His signature dark glasses glued dusty dust,
So he lifted up his hand to mend them
For even in death his handsomeness shouldn't be tainted.

He made a move,
He heard a voice,
He opened his eyes
And he was in a chopper
Being airlifted to his base.

The Shot (Parting Prayer)

Obedient gun,
Honour me,
Show me your loyalty isn't for fun

Musical gun
Entertain me,
Sing me that "ta! ta!! ta!!" sound of pun

Pretty gun
Attract my preys
So I can charm them one by one

Smoking gun
Protect me,
Let my trigger make death run

Coughing gun
Are you now sick?
Or has your enemy refuse to rise like the sun?

Crying gun
Wipe your arm,
For your sweat will soon be gone

Talking gun
Humour me
With the victories we have won

Faithful gun
Don't betray me
Squirt death turn by turn

Feable gun,
Don't stop.... (...............)
Oh see what death has done

Silent gun
Deafen me
Let my fears get lost to never return

Loving gun
Lay with me
Till my bones are worn

Mourning gun
Weep not
Loving you was fun

Saluting gun
Call me at my grave
The hero that i have become.
