Poetry itself has different meaning to different people. I share your plight though.

Fifteen million naira that can feed an entire city of starving kids in this Buharistic era. You can get better and equally durable bags for far cheaper. I want a rich guy oo, but rich and stupid arent compatible...

Relax dear. He sells them. Don't be fooled by those figures. I know someone that bought a wallet from him months ago.

OBSESSIVELY VAINGLORIOUS (Watch freaks)

The left wrist.
That's it; It a big deal to stare at.
That flesh, rooted with subway veins against a warm bone -
Tufty hairs compassionately bows in genuflecting honour,
Whispering to the skin to be careful
Upon the super models it beds always.

The wrist dresses itself like a Pixiu,
With gold and silver as it aims to outshine the sun and sky,
It belts itself in '904L' glamourous steels
As it hugs a wool of sweaty hairs.
The heart behooves still while its three friends; the dwarf,
The overgrown and the lanky workaholic race in
Sensual moans of tick tock.

Day in day out,
It parties and flashes with different supermodels like a cursed sl.ut
It arouses it when stared at,
Knowing they'd be pleased with their races;
Dumb, numbers and Roman faces like makeups.
It could swore that it loves them all but promiscuity and riches
Would make King Solomon jealous, that's the idea!

Beneath its skins lies a cheery burdened bone
Caged in uncomfortable pleasure, afflicted by weight;
It began to scar away with uncladness begging for a birthday suit.
The flesh too is scarred, its colour fading away ebonious slack,
Luxury, yes, it comes with a pain, a sweat pain indeed.
It cost a fortune to know where the thoughts forms,
On the dials so sexy like a pornnstar.

Their smiles for sight glitters in colourful lumes right across
Their acrylic goggles, jealous sapphires seduces minds.
Who knows how many places the triad peripateticaly steeplechased,
The wrist always get lost in eye caging veneration on its models
While reciprocating in smirky banality quips
Oblivious to its excessive pride of all tick-tock lingua franca.

PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Promotes One Nigeria; IGBOS React. by timpaker(m): 1:48pm On Aug 06, 2016
Nairaland is using its medium to turn Nigerians against one another.

The topic reads "Igbos react" instead of "Nigerians react". Are the igbos in a country of their own?

Cc. Seun cool

Op. Why not put the name of the Nigerian guy that customized it in Kaduna?

45.5 million Naira. shocked Tell me, apart from telling time, what else does it do?
Erm... This particular one is among the cheapest collection of the brand.

The dark one is very expensive cuz of the materials used in manufacturing it. It was made with carbone nanotubes tourbillion technology set on a triple-decker casing and is shaped like tonnean (i.e. from the barrel casing) or should i say curvy plus a full titanium steel bezel.

Most of their parts are sourced in-house just like Rolex.

The funny thing is that most them come in rubber straps.

Bro Joe, watches aren't about telling time, it is fashion! Stars like Jackie Chan, Rafael Nadal are their brand ambassadors. If someone can afford a Jimmy Choo or a Christian Loubby and wears them as fashion why can't one buy a Richard Mille watch?

The funny thing is that most of their watches are limited edition (i.e. they're made in less than 50 pieces) and they are usually sold out before 12 months!

Owning a Rolex is like owning a Mustang or Chevy while owning a Richard Mille owning a Bugatti.

tolutweety:
Strangely , It doesn't look like that worth to me.
Well, maybe 'cos the colour is a bit dull.
Oga, that much over cost oooo. The Richard Mille Sapphire Crystal is among the most expensive watch in the market. It goes for about $1.2m. I can send the pix if you want. grin

JoeBlocks:
How much is the one on your profile pic, Mr. Tim?
That's the RM 011 chrono series and its going for 127,000 euro.. i.e 45.5 million naira.

They usually come in different colours.

You see why those celebs always go for Rolex?

I have only seen 3 Nigerians wearing that watch grin
CelebritiesRe: Freeze Shades Basketmouth For Rolex Watch Post by timpaker(m): 11:05am On Aug 03, 2016
Some words for basketmouth. Rolex isn't for everyone.

The watch itself is too cheap. Cuz a Richard Mille watch can buy a tray of Rolex watches plus more.

CelebritiesRe: Nigerian Celebrities And Their Multi-million Naira Jewelries by timpaker(m):
Amongst all these I give it to Davido and Wizkid for both owning the Rolex Skydweller piece, however, I don't think the Rolex DayDate and DayJust are as pricey as the Op put it. One can get a Rolex DateJust for around 1m - 2m naira and the DayDate around 800k - 1.8m. If i were to rate i would give it to Wizkid, the dude has almost all the best Rolex watches. Imagine owning a Rolex Yatch Master, a Submariner plus a Skydweller, damn! That's like 20million naira for just 3 watches!!!!

Still, I don't know why Nigerian celebs are crazy over the Rolex brand. The only Rolex worth wearing is the Skydweller or GMT cuz they're new and classy.

Other countries in Eastern and Southern Africa, their celebs wears Richard Mille Felipe Massa rose gold (about $950k), CVSTOS inkvaders, Patek Philipe cuz they've outgrown the Rolex Mentality. Even American celebs hardly wear Rolex wrist watches even though it is one of the most successful Swiss brand.

With about 80k - 200k one can get a fake or cloned Rolex in Dubai or naija.

I'm so disappointed with Seun and his Moderators.

"PLEASE DON'T MAKE RACIST AND TRIBALISTIC COMMENTS ON THIS SECTION "

Obviously, Nairaland is now a tool for ethnic bigotry. Imagine the kind of topic been pushed to the frontpage/homepage and the insultive post of a particular section's leader.

It wasn't like this when I joined this site years ago, where did Seun and his team really goof?

Yesterday, my little cousin of 9years was calling his best friend of 5 years an "IPOB yoot" and a "flat head" something he learnt from nairaland. Imagibe that little boy exhibiting such trait of bigotry as that age only God knows what else he will learn before he gets to the age of 18. It is worrisome now cuz I introduced him to this site to learn things that are of his interest... This is what he'd be seeing while surfing this site.

These set of tribalist on nairaland were well tamed during the time of Sexkillz but I wonder why these new mods would allow things like this to go on.

I've observed the policies adopted by the Nairaland team in curbing ethnic and religious bash e.g. The word "a boki" was substituted for "northerner", "Jange rweed" and et al and I wonder why derogatory words like "yeloba", "flat heads", "yeboos", and other unmentionable words can't be censored.

I'm just weak and ashamed of the content of this thread and I think Seun and his team owes everyone an apology.

Nairaland should be a tool for promoting peace and unity and not breeding hatred, ethic and religious animosity.
