This French network is full of fake news propaganda just like BBC and CNN. The things they suspect Russia of doing are less than those that US mercenaries actually did in Iraq and Afghanistan

How is this related to title of the thread ?....
Without a good economy there is no military; ability to wage war.

If Kenya was to close half of it's national parks(government land so there is no cost of buying) mine and produce steel the whole of Africa would benefit, it would be cheaper to source there than from China....

One thing I don't like about Kenya is how they waste a lot of their land and resources by having large wildlife preserves. If you look at Europe you will barely see any native wildlife. It went extinct centuries ago. They say they earn a lot from tourism but that money is made by the international companies that own the resorts and very little trickles down the ordinary citizens.

The wildlife preserves are have a lot of minerals like iron and coal which can make jobs for millions of people and turn the country into the next china

Environmental NGOs lie to the country that they are doing well but the people in these groups are rich, get millions in donations and their children and in Europe. They care more about animals than the Kenyan people

Kenya Defence Forces on Friday held a pull-out parade for President Uhuru Kenyatta. This is a ceremonial event where serving military generals pull the outgoing C in C "out of power"
Embarrassing, look at all those big stomachs. I don't see why these generals should let themselves go this bad. They look fat and dumb. UNFIT for service

That will be illegal. Have you heard about the United Nations Outer Space Treaty?

Nobody has rights beyond 100km of altitude, the same way nobody can place WMDs in space or conduct weapons testing in space.
UN treaties are only for countries that are gullible and naive. Programs like Fractional Orbital Bombardment System (FOBS) put nuclear weapons in space.

Satellite technology can be used to identify underground water tables in the whole country...This would be a permanent solution for perennial drought. Plus longtime data collected on satellite observations can be used to predict the next drought season, floods and thus plan for what we are going to do to protect wildlife, domestic animals and people... Satellite can also be used for study on how the changes affect the biodiversity overtime.. We would be in a better position to predict when crops need to be planted or not...etc
I totally agree with you, maybe we have a different opinion on what Space Exploration means

I am sure corporations and countries use data from satellites to gain advantage in trade deals or plan future investments but I've never heard of an African country buying commercial satellite time to get data on the us or Europe.

If the AU had balls they would declare the airspace above African up to infinity sovereign and tax companies and countries that overfly it

Africa once again is left behind in another frontier... One day we might find ourselves or rather we may find our politicians and their families begging for the few slots reserved for the poor Africans in the red planet after superpowers eventually mess this one up.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-09-01/nasa-moxie-instrument-makes-oxygen-on-mars/101394288

EAC/IGAD, ECOWAS, SADC should each have a well funded R& D facility and owning a few satellites by now for Agriculture, Defence and space exploration. Then one day we combine our efforts through AU for one big mission... The rest of the continents already have a head start.
Mars and space exploration is just a big waste of money.

That kind of money would be best spent on education, healthcare and maybe nuclear power plants and digging bore holes(national water reserves).

Africa is due for a mega drought. Countries like Uganda that depend on hydro power would have their economies destroyed

Don't say that, even the propaganda video doesn't do justice to it; They are trillions dollar economy, have all the money to create R&/D and fast track it . Turkey didn't need to copy to create the spectacular agusta or South africa Rooviak.... There's beauty in ingenuity, but great heli all the way

I know it's nothing, that was then..... This is now bro, competition spurrs on development. Spacex launched us secret latest satellite, Russia sees it and launches theirs which usa accepts has similar capabilities because they were trolled by launching their rocket the moment the spy satellite passed. Now Chinese has built their own space station and Russia is leaving ISS, since cold war ended; it is basically a new era bro. That was the main point of the vid
Got it

Off-topic: Massive trolling, immediately the spy satellite passed the iranian launch site; that's was when they launched. A lot of things going underneath that we don't see, we are about to enter a new era of space innovations. USA made the right decision creating a space force

This is nothing new during the cold war both sides deployed hunter killer satellites and parasitic satellite on each other. Mir had the capability of shooting projectiles. There were also plans for nuclear missile on the moon.

Let's be honest right now fr. The Federal Republic of Nigeria is living on past glory. We ain't no big brother. Nigeria is in turmoil. Things aren't what they're supposed to be. The corruption has totally torn this nation. Religion has destroyed the mental thinking capacity of the average Nigerian. We're at each others throats.

We're a hungry people. A hungry people are angry people. Angry people commit barbaric acts.
Like many countries in the world Nigeria's main problem is poverty. Because of demographics Nigeria is in a perfect position right now to fix itself. If there is political will.

Insurgencies and corruption are caused by poverty.

Spending on projects that on the surface do not seem like they produce any economic benefits. Like massive infrastructure spending ,reduced military spending but increased spending on police, Building sewer lines, water treatment plants, providing every house with piped water, gas, electrical power, free public transportation, large farms. They might not produce a profit but the intent is to put a disposable income in the pockets of people and people will do the rest. They will do the investing in whatever they want and in a few decades the government gets it's money back in taxes

F16 cost $80 million

Jas 39 cost $85 million

"The first F-35A cost $221 million when it came off the production line in 2007. Since then, production quantities and know-how have increased, helping the price of the stealthy fifth-generation fighter fall to $79 million as it gained buyers."

Imo African countries should stop making purchases of expensive weapons like fighter jets and instead focus more on domestic production as shown here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z_gTGJc7nQ

Fighter jets cost millions of dollars, more millions to train pilots and keep them CURRENT, fuel, millions for supports, millions for maintenance and upgrades, millions for munitions and if a war breaks out they become junk because munitions are used up in a few weeks and are not locally produced

Americans are involved in one way or another in all conflicts in Africa from the west to East, the only difference is some of their operations have been declassified while others are still classified.
Even the weapons and hardware purchased from them come with a certain level of "operational control " .
Same to their training programmes.
Salute brother. The little shrimp have no other choice than to play nice with the big lobster.

But Nigeria is in a class of it's own, with corruption being the national pastime anyone can do ANYTHING there as long as they have money. The only solution is to sanitize it by burning that cess pool to ashes

Team 18 a surrogate force of Kenyan commandos over which the US SOF are meant to exercise a certain level of operational control (with Kenyas consent) both in Somalia and Kenya .it was set up, trained, equipped and is guided on tactical counter-terror operations by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
(Pic during one of their training missions in the US.)
the US SOF are meant to exercise a certain level of operational control. This is a very stupid move by Kenya, giving the us any kind of control of any part of your security will only end up with negative blowback eventually.

This is a country which sponsors regime change all over the world through https://www.ned.org/ (cia). They even turn on their own allies like Thailand using "color revolutions."

This is how France maintains control over some WAfrican countries, they can enact a military coup at will

I don't understand, targeted by whom? Why?

With all that power a country can get into heavy manufacturing, like processing ore before exporting it.

This is the best investment any African country can make, this dutch company can build a semi conductor factory. The potential of any country investing in this is limitless
