PoliticsPDP Delta: Askia relatives, Dr Karo Ilolo, Mrs Majemite and others join APC by tinsel(op):
* the umbrella is torn, says Ilolo, former Okowa commissioner

A gale of defections has hit Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta state, as the All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign train hit critical strongholds of the party.

During the week, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s Former Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Dr. Karo Ilolo, and two time chairman of Ethiope East LGA, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite, dumped the PDP and declared for APC.

Speaking yesterday during the APC ward to ward campaign at Uzere, the hometown of Okowa strongman, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, Ilolo said “the PDP umbrella is torn. We are totally committed to the cause of the APC, and we shall win”

Bashorun Askia is the Managing Director of Delta Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, which is considered as Governor Okowa’s financial war chest for the prosecution of the 2023 election.

Also at Uzere, Majemite dismissed the PDP as a party of “thieves.” She said that in seven and a half years, PDP under Governor Okowa, has received N4.2 trillion, but the state is still undeveloped and dirt poor.

“They are all thieves. If PDP comes here to campaign, ask them, where’s our money? Until they answer your question, don’t listen to them,” she said.

Mr. Goodluck Obrogor, the only brother of Bashorun Askia, was the cynosure of all eyes, when he led 177 defectors to denounce the PDP and pledge loyalty to APC.

In his defection speech, Mr. Obrogor said the Uzere people are in the throes of oppression and intimidation and pleaded with Deputy Senate President, and Delta State governorship candidate of the APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, to help them.
“Uzere does not look like an oil producing Community. By God’s grace, when I become governor I will consult with illustrious indigenes to ask them what the incoming government should do for Uzere.”

At Aviara, he told the people that that Okowa is deceiving himself, but he will not be vice president. Our next president, he said, is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our Vice President will be Senator Kassim Shettima, both of the APC.

He urged the people of Aviara to come out on election day, stare down PDP and Okowa and vote all APC candidates. He assured supporters of adequate security on election day, and urged them not to fear intimidation by the opposition.

At the palace of the traditional ruler of Aviara, HRH, Efadue Imo, Ebobo 1, the Ovie of Aviara, he assured that he would ensure that Aviara community is fully linked to the national grid. He also promised to consult with the traditional ruler to address other challenges of the community.

The defectors were received by the Delta State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, who described the younger brother of Chief Askia Ogieh as the biblical Jacobian twin that has seen the light and prayed that Uzere never experience bad leadership and darkness again.

PoliticsPastor Who Predicted Buhari Will Win Speaks Again by tinsel(op): 6:45am On Jan 08, 2023
2022 PROPHETIC BOMBSHELL:

Tinubu Will Win the 2023 Presidential Election!

-Prophet Adebayo Israel

The acclaimed pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet/Evangelist Adebayo Israel who prophesied the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, and his re-election in 2019, is again on the familiar turf. In his prophecy for the new year, 2022, the minister in charge of the Disciples Activities Mission, released another bombshell on the outcome of the 2023 presidential election. “ Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be the winner of the coming 2023 presidential contest” the prophet declared.

However, the servant of God equally revealed that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the former Lagos state government should be careful. Because, the enemies are planning to attack her and invariably use her as the stumbling block in the presidential quest of her husband.

Also, in his God’s revelation for the year 2022 and 2023, Prophet Adebayo Israel revealed that the bandit attacks and insurgency in the north will persist. But, the herdsmen will reduce their attacks – as leaders of Fulani stock will pitch tent against the marauding herdsmen.

“The country will witnessed heavy downpour of rain in the year. And, it will cause serious flooding, that will wrecks havoc on the goods and properties of the people” So, we should be careful and take good care of our wards.
While ritual killings will be on the increase, especially in the south west, the rate of armed robbery will equally remain unabated. More citizens will become daring in breaking and violating the laws of the land.
And, the Independent Peoples of the Biafra (IPOB) will be unrelenting in their separatist agenda. As Boko Haram will also not stop their evil mission.
In the prophetic release, Prophet Adebayo declared unequivocally that the All Peoples Congress (APC) will emerge victorious at the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.
And, “President Buhari will complete his second term in office” the CAC prophet equally revealed

PoliticsIntrigues As Adamawa Denies Buhari, APC Use Of Campaign Venue by tinsel(op): 11:24pm On Jan 07, 2023
•Says site is currently undergoing renovation •President leads Tinubu-Shettima rallies in Katsina, Yobe, eight others
The Adamawa State Government has turned down a request by President Muhammadu Buhari for the use of the state owned Ribadu Square in Yola, the state capital for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign on.

Buhari is scheduled to lead his party’s campaign in the state, according to the updated timetable released by the Chief Spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN).

Adamawa is one of the “at least 10 states” where Buhari is expected to join the APC presidential campaign train.

Buhari’s Chief of Staff,Professor Ibrahim Gambari, had earlier notified the state government of the planned visit of the President on that day to participate in the APC rally at Ribadu Square.

But in a reply to the Presidency letter, the Secretary to the State Government,Alhaji Bashiru Ahmad, said the facility which is owned by the state would be unavailable on Monday.

He cited renovation of the centre as reason for its unavailability.

Ahmad in the reply to the Presidency letter said: “I write to acknowledge your letter ref. SH/COS/28/16/A/793 dated 3” January, 2023 addressed to His Excellency, the Governor, in respect of the above subject

“It is with utmost joy that we always welcome the news of a visit by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Adamawa State and always prepare to accord him a rousing welcome with the highest level of respect notwithstanding political party differences.

“Please note that, on this proposed visit that is scheduled for 9 January, 2023 and considering the purpose of the visit which is rally, the only befitting place (Ribadu Square) that is secured enough to host Mr. President, on occasions like this, and the surrounding infrastructural facilities are under extensive renovation. We, therefore, write to inform you that, much as we would want to provide a place befitting to receive Mr. President, we are constrained because we cannot guarantee the readiness of Ribadu Square before the due date of the flag-off. However, we are working round the clock and racing against time, along with the contractors, to get the place fairly ready to receive the President on the 18 January, 2023 when the presidential campaign train of the APC berths in our state.

“Sir, while hoping that you will take seriously the foregoing in your planning, accept, as always my highest respect for your esteemed office.”

We’re going ahead with our rally, local APC vows

But the Organising Secretary of the APC in the state, Mustapha Ribadu, declared yesterday that nothing would stop the party from proceeding with the Monday rally.

He said an alternative venue had been found and was being readied for the event.

Speaking in a telephone interview last night,Ribadu said: “Originally the party wrote a letter seeking the Ribadu Square for our presidential rally on the 18th January and it was approved by the state government.

“The government went further to commence renovation of the square to enable us use it for the reception of President Muhammadu Buhari and our presidential candidate on the 18th January.

“But with the sudden change in date, we wrote the government that the President would be coming on Monday the 9th. This afternoon (Friday) they granted the request and formal approval was given. The contractor was asked to stop work if the venue will be conducive for us to host the President. We have a formal approval for the new date.”

He, however, said that the campaign organisation of the APC governorship candidate, Senator Aishatu Binani, said it would prefer a new site it has been working on to host the presidential rally.

The state organising secretary said security agencies have been keeping surveillance on the new venue.

He refused to blame the state government for the change of venue.

He said:”We are set to host President Buhari and our presidential candidate on Monday in Adamawa State at the new venue being prepared by the gubernatorial candidate team.”

Adamawa is ruled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is also the home state of the PDP Presidential candidate,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Buhari to lead Tinubu/Shettima campaign in 10 States – Keyamo

Keyamo,in the updated campaign timetable of the APC said Buhari ,in fulfillment of his promise ,would join the campaign train in a minimum of 10 states.

Keyamo who is also the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity said the President’s move was to ensure the victory of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in next month’s election.

He said: “Recall that the President, out of his very busy schedule, had earlier attended the flag-off of the presidential campaign in Jos on the 15th of November, 2022. This was also after graciously accepting to be the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling party.

“In the latest campaign timetable released yesterday (5th January 2023) the President is billed to join the Campaign Train in at least ten States.

“The states are Adamawa State on the 9th of January; Yobe State on the 10th of January; Sokoto State on the 16th of January; Kwara State on the 17th of January; Ogun State on the 25th of January; Cross Rivers State on the 30th of January; Nassarawa State on the 4th of February; Katsina State on the 6th of February; Imo State on the 14th of February and the Grand Finale in Lagos State on the 18th of February.

“The PCC expresses its profound gratitude to President Buhari, the leader of our great party for his sterling and inspirational leadership at this time and for galvanising our teeming members and supporters across the country.

“We urge our party and supporters to turn out en masse, as usual, in the forthcoming campaign rallies. The zero hours is nigh; our spirits must be high; we must not relent in this collective march to our victory that is divinely ordained.”

The Ondo State government has pledged adequate security at today’s campaign of the APC presidential candidate in Akure, the state capital, ahead of next month’s general election.

The rally is scheduled for the Moshood Kasimawo Abiola Democracy Park .

Chairman, Media and Publicity, Sub- committee, of the presidential campaign council in the state, Kunle Adebayo, urged members of the public, supporters, admirers of our party to troop out to “endorse competence, vision, character, hope and track record as epitomised by Tinubu.”

He added:”As the state witnesses an unprecedented surge of crowd tomorrow (today), we wish to assure the people of Ondo State and our visitors that adequate security measures have been put in place across the state to ensure smooth, peaceful and eventful rally.”

On Thursday,January 12,Tinubu and Shettima will take their campaign to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

Expected on the campaign train are the APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu ;Niger Delta Affairs Minister Umana Okon Umana; former governor of Akwa Ibom State and PCC Vice Chairman South, Senator Godswill Akpabio; Director General of the PCC and Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong; Silas Agara;Chairman Progressive Governors Forum and Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu; APC National Vice Chairman South-South, Chief Victor Giadom: other Party Leaders and APC Stakeholders.

Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the APC Presidential Campaign rally, Senator Nelson Efiong and secretary, Hon. Uwem Udoma said in a joint statement in Uyo that the rally would take place at the Unity Park, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo starting from 10am.

They urged ” all APC candidates, their Campaign Council, supporters and party members across the 31 local government areas in the state to come out en masse to support and show solidarity to the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running-mate, Senator Kashim Shettima who are coming with a message of ‘renewed hope’ to Akwa Ibom State.

PoliticsThe Obidient Bubble Falters In The Northwest-Bantupage Poll by tinsel(op):
If you have not heard of Peter Obi, Labour Party and ObiDients in the last months whilst living in Nigeria, you surely must be living in an alternate universe. The storm with which Peter Obi took over the narrative in Nigeria I’m sure, even cronies like Tinubu, Atiku and President Buhari must have panicked at one point. However, the reality in the Northwest must send shockwaves to the ObiDient family.

Our poll in the Northwest relegates Obi to a non-threat status, with just 3% and 4% in Kano and Katsina respectively, you will wonder if the residents of these states have been present in the same Nigeria that the ObiDient pandemonium has ravaged the political, social and media landscape.

On social media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram et al, the mentioning of Peter Obi is the beginning of traction, young people, in their numbers have clustered around this movement that you would think if the election were held today, Peter Obi will win in a landslide, but hold on, not too fast, the Northwest is having none of these. Our poll below should send shockwaves through your veins if you are an ObiDient.

North-West-General-Poll

The Labour Party presidential candidate requires 25% of 24 states, now he’s barely making 10% in Nigeria’s most populous and most turnout voting bloc, one can hope that this is not transferred across the Northeast as this will put a block to Obi’s pathway to Aso Rock. In the northwest, our numbers showed loyalty to Atiku and a proclivity to stick to the party Muhammadu Buhari belongs to, rarely the mentioning of Peter Obi or Labour Party came into our interaction with respondents.

Peter Obi has shown strength amongst Gen Z and Millennials, but on the chart below, these age groups are pouncing in their numbers away from the Labour Party Presidential candidate. It makes me wonder why this is happening, are not younger people the social media warriors from which the slogan “The Social Media President” emanates? Are young people in the Northwest disconnected from the greater Nigeria?
I can’t remember seeing the Labour Party Presidential candidate campaigning in Kano, Katsina, Kebbi or Jigawa; it is as if he has resigned to the slightest possibility of winning in these states – a mistake, a bluff, or a strategy? I fail to see Peter Obi winning the election without making at least 25% in 3 – 5 Northwestern or Northeastern states.

We split our questioning in different layers to broaden what insight we can get in these different categories. A straight vote yes or no to person A, B, C or D is not very reflective in an electoral system where you could win the popular vote count and still lose the election. Our country is a mixture of nations within a nation, so many variables determine what and how one reacts depending on the nations within the country you grew up in, your value system and most of all, religion, and ethnicity.

North-West-By-ReligionWhen it came to religion, Christians, mainly from Kaduna, flocked Obi’s way whilst Muslims did the same, but in the other direction. However, the Muslim vote was split between APC and PDP. In a central system of government, I wonder why people still vote by ethnic, religious lines when evidence on ground has shown that the Southeast, never produced a president, went through a brutal war of some may say extermination, came back from the brink and is still the geopolitical zone with the least amount of poor people in Nigeria
The numbers for Peter Obi stayed the same or flat for the Married and not a single Widow went the Labour Party’s way. Either Peter Gregory Obi has concluded that the Northwest is not worth the fight, or he has another pathway to Aso Rock, but as far as our poll shows, 25% in at least 3 states in the Northwest and Northeast is absolutely necessary if the Labour Presidential candidate wants a shot at Aso Rock.

No Pathway for Obi to Aso Rock
BANTUPAGE MEDIA DECEMBER 27, 2022
Peter-Obi-Saddened
Like every country, electoral systems are designed to reflect the reality of the land, Nigeria’s is no different. The architects of our electoral system had our diversity in mind, were they perfect? I think perfect is for the dreamer, I’d much rather find out if they had good intentions, from all indicators, I think they did. Many aren’t aware that our general election is not a winner takes all, but a winner of 24 states, or a minimum of 25% of 24 over 36 states, however, it is likely that winning the majority comes with the other caveat on which victory is subject.

We at BantuPage have interrogated the data we received from our physical (face-to-face) poll across the six geopolitical regions, the findings are quite telling. We classified these on states electorates and the candidate’s likeability, winnability and probability. This showed a blockade to LP’s Peter Gregory Obi, NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso and PDP’s Atiku Abubakar pathway to Aso Rock, simply put, their chances look bleak.

Elections in Nigeria are not won on social media, we have heard this statement so many times, but this could not be further from the truth. There are over 80 million internet users in Nigeria with a teeming youth population, an estimated 55 million social media users in Nigeria, ¾ of those are under 40. President Muhammadu Buhari’s last two victories were 15 million each, the number of social media users exceeds that, thus making social media the greatest advertising platform for any candidate.
In the 2015 presidential elections, registered voters were just under 67 million and turnout was just about 44%, i.e., of 67 million registered voters, only about 29 million turned up to vote. Of these, President Muhammadu Buhari garnered 15,424,921 whilst former President Goodluck Jonathan lumped just 12,853.162 votes.

The cry in the South-east for secession and the dislike for President Muhammadu Buhari could have been avoided had these same people turned out to vote for former President Goodluck Jonathan who lost by less than 2.5 million votes. The entire South-east vote was 2,719,658, just about the same number Buhari led Jonathan, turnout amongst South easterners living across the federation was equally low.

If democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people, one can question the validity of winning just 15 million out of 67 million voters by PVC ( over 100 million over 18) as inconsequential. The calls for the populace to turn out to vote is echoed all the time, if you don’t come out to vote, you will have another inconsequential representation of Nigeria. In other words, President Muhammadu Buhari won just 22% by PVC holder (13% by eligible voter) of Nigeria’s vote, yet he leads 100% of Nigeria, this is no democracy in my opinion, but to be fair, it is not President Muhammadu Buhari’s fault.

Moving on to the 2019 Presidential Elections, this time the registered voters tally was higher, 83,344,107 by PVC holders (over 100 over 18) but turnout dropped to just under 35%. This time however, his vote total dropped, he, President Muhammadu Buhari garnered just 15,191,847 votes, a drop of over 300,000 votes. His rival Atiku Abubakar performed slightly worse than former President Goodluck Jonathan, with 11,262,978 votes. The cycle continued, just under 30 million out of 83 million voted, and President Muhammadu Buhari took home again just 18% of Nigeria’s vote by PVC holders (13% by eligible voter), yet again another inconsequential representation.
Interestingly, President Muhammadu Buhari bettered his performance in the South-east, from 198,248 votes in 2015 when his popularity was high, despite Obi teaming up with PDP’s Atiku, Buhari doubled his numbers in the South-east to 403, 248 votes. In fact, he scored 25% or more in three South-eastern states, the first time in his career of running for the country’s top position. Is Peter Obi really a noisemaker, or are his supporters empty vessels?

As of the time of posting this video, INEC has recorded 96.3 million PVC registration, an increase of over 12 million. Going back to Peter Obi being the social media President, let’s dissect this a little more, shall we?

We have seen a wave of young people taking part in Nigeria’s presidential election like never in our contemporary history, with the vast majority clamouring for Peter Obi, the Labour Presidential candidate. Bear in mind that Nigeria’s median age is 18.1 years with 52% urban population and a whopping 60% being under 35 years. Only 2.7% of our population are over 65 years, let’s put this in numbers, shall we? 2.7% of 210 million gives you just 5,670,000 people.
The overwhelming majority of these young people are on social media, and they made up the overwhelming discrepancies of those not turning up to vote, however, this time around, all indicators are pointing to a willingness to vote by young people, if this were translated to reality in the 2023 Elections, Peter Obi could do what none has ever in the history of Nigeria. Those reverberating the social media president mantra should better think twice, something is happening to Nigeria that may just take everyone off their seats. A new political character is being formed, adjust to this, or regret forever post February 2023.

Remember at the beginning I said Obi, Atiku and Kwankwaso’s chances to Aso rock looks bleak? Let’s dig into this, shall we? Our Polls conducted between late November and early December 2022 puts Obi ahead, but make no mistake, ahead in popular vote counts. In the North-west and North-east geopolitical zones, there are 13 states, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba. Except for Taraba, give or take Gombe, Obi was barely making up 5%, if you deduct 13 states from 36, you will have 23 states, by that number, Obi has already lost the election even if he were to win every state in the South regardless of the popular votes he amasses.

Further to the obliteration of Obi in the North-west and North-east, Obi’s performance in the South-west was equally, or thereabout trailing in the South-west except for Lagos, and maybe Oyo, our polls predict that Obi won’t make 10% in Ondo, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti. This further reduces Obi’s state tally, in the North-central, his chances in Plateau and Benue seem very promising, 25% in Nasarawa and Niger is very debatable, but Kwara and Kogi casts mix outcomes, however, by these alone, Obi cannot cross the line.
Obi, based on our polls will win all South-east and South-South states, that is 11 plus Plateau, Benue, 25% in Kogi, Nasarawa, Lagos, Ondo and just maybe Niger, that will leave him at just 16 states, far off Aso Rock than when he started.

Atiku’s dilemma is also bleak but better than Obi’s. Our polls predict less than 10% throughout the South-South and South-east for Atiku, that is already 11 states lost, in the South-west, Atiku could make 25% on 2 or 3 states, the same applies in the North-central. In the North-east and North-west, we predict a possible 25% on each of the 13 states, still, that brings him to 18 or 19 states, way short of the 24 required.

Kwankwaso’s reality is the bleakest based on our polls. Kwankwaso could carry Kano, or guarantee his 25%, he will have some numbers in neighbouring Katsina and Sokoto, but that’s it for us, so his chances are next to none.

Tinubu is the master of all of these. We predict a Tinubu coming first, but short of overall majority. He will win all 6 South-western states in a landslide except Lagos. He will also make up his 25% in all North-western and North-eastern states except for Adamawa and/or Taraba, that’s already 17 states in his pocket, then in the North-central, he’s sweeping Niger, Kwara, Kogi and Nasarawa leaving him with 21 states. In the South-South and South-east, Tinubu, based on our polls won’t make 10 and 5% respectively, still, he will come first and PDP’s Atiku second. Obi and Kwankwaso will both be eliminated.

It is important to point out that this prediction is based on our polls, and reality on the ground, however, if young people were to turn up in their numbers as predicted, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Ogun, Osun, Gombe, Taraba, Bauchi, and Kaduna (South) could help Obi cross the line, or at least, make it to the second round.

Both men were close allies until their relationship soured over a dispute between Mr Aregbesola and his successor as governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola.

Angry that Mr Oyetola abandoned some of his legacy policies and also kept many of his loyalists out of government, Mr Aregbesola opposed the governor’s renomination by the APC for last year’s governorship election.

At a meeting ahead of the party’s primary, the minister castigated Mr Tinubu for refusing to withdraw his support for the then governor.

The outcome of the election added to the rift as Mr Aregbrsola and his supporters were believed to have connived in the defeat of Mr Oyetola.

The minister has also been accused of lukewarmness to the presidential bid of Mr Tinubu.

But, Mr Aregbesola in a statement by his media adviser, Sola Fasure, on Wednesday said his rift with the APC flagbearer would have been resolved but for some people within and outside the APC, who are frustrating the reconciliatory moves.

“A pattern has clearly emerged of sinister and coordinated effort to frustrate the reconciliatory moves being championed by notable stakeholders within and beyond our party to rally all necessary factors for the success of our Party at the February 2023 Presidential Election,” he

“Just last week, jittery politicians, who are authors of this malicious manuscript, paid a handful of rent-a-crowd comedians to react to a non-existent ‘attack’ and regurgitate the storyline again, with the intention to frustrate a series of reconciliation steps for their selfish interest,” he added.

“We urge well-meaning Nigerians to be wary of the evil machinations of this cult of fifth columnists, whose sole business is to cause disaffection, manufacture distractions and sow discord within the APC and the progressive fold,” he urged.

“For the umpteenth time, the general public is advised to note that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is focused on delivering key reforms in the Ministry of Interior and its agencies as championed by President Muhammadu Buhari, and also ensure that the APC emerges

PoliticsJubilation As Father Mbaka Returns From Ban To Adoration Ground In Enugu by tinsel(op): 1:14pm On Jan 04, 2023
There was excitement on Wednesday morning as the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Father Ejike Mbaka, returned to Adoration ground in Enugu State.

SaharaReporters had reported that the fiery Catholic priest was transferred out of Adoration ministry after months of suspension.

The Catholic Bishop Enugu diocese, Most Rev Callistus Onaga, had on June 3, banned Fr Mbaka, from commenting on partisan politics.

Shortly after the initial ban was lifted Mbaka violated the political neutrality and went into verbal attack on Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, describing him as a “stingy man.”

Following outrage and condemnation that trailed the attack on Obi, the Bishop issued a pastoral injunction on attendance to Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu, and enjoined all Catholics to stop visiting the ministry till further notice.
The Bishop also advised Catholic faithfuls to also pray for Mbaka.

Onaga had said, "In the light of the happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu; capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings; and after several fraternal corrections and admonitions to Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, the Chaplain of the Ministry; and after having given him pastoral directives and guidelines for the Ministry Chaplaincy, which he persistently violated.

"And in fulfilment of my pastoral duties as the Chief Shepherd with the obligation to promote and safeguard the Catholic faith and morals in Enugu Diocese, I hereby prohibit all Catholics (clergy, religious and lay faithful) henceforth from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration Ministry until the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.

"My decision is based on the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration Ministry are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church," the bishop stated.

However, on Wednesday morning, hundreds of Mbaka's supporters trooped out on the road to welcome his return to Adoration.

SaharaReporters reports that Mbaka's supporters marched alongside a vehicle conveying him to Adoration Ground in Umuchigbo Nike caused serious traffic gridlock along old Emene - Abakaliki road.

The jubilant adorers as his supporters were fondly called were seen very excited as some were dancing along the road.
