Jonathan has always identified himself as a child of LUCK rather than hardwork. He was Assistant Senior Boy, and became the Senior Boy under LUCKY circumstances. He was Deputy Governor and became defacto Governor on the outstretch of LUCK. Also as a Vice-President, he was transmogrified to be substantive PRESIDENT under LUCKY atmosphere. This is a very good article, and i implore our ever-ready Mods to push it to the Front Page for inclusive participation and comments. The problem is that all those names you mentioned in the article, are still the ones ruling us, and in power till date. I dislike the candidacy of Buhari on one ground. The man had been minister and president in his prime, and still comes back after 35 years for presidency. I consider that a collective insult and assault to Nigerians and particularly the youths. Where then is the future? Recently, they passed a Bill called Not- Too -Young - to-RUN whereas they should have passed Not-Too-Young-to-RULE. The question i asked those who represented us was "Where are we running to"? What financial strenght do we have to finance, participate in and win an election. Whether we agree or not, elections are expensive. Invariably, they are telling us to just RUN but that we cannot RULE. Some of us have the experiences and wherewithal to be Commissioners, Ministers, Ambassadors and SSGs if given the chance. But whose sons/daughters are we? Nigeria is purely aristocratic. I have impressed it a countless time, that Nigeria can never be great until a son of NOBODY becomes SOMEBODY without the assistance of ANYBODY. If the Government is serious, let them appoint youths, i mean son-of-nobody, simply on merit into Cabinets. At my last employment, i was a very useful aide to one SSG of a state, they promised to give me an appointment as the government progresses. However, as useful as i was, i was not appointed whereas, they were appointing sons/ daughters of who-is-who in the State who were, not for personal aggrandisement, were not as useful as i was. Our consolation is the fact that the table will turn one day. Those who have held to the destiny of Nigeria would by age, senility or death release it. Our time will come. Shalom. |

I feel ur pain OP. You must naturally be a very careless person for you to have sent such huge amount in error. There are about three (3) processes to be initiated (via token) before a transfer is done, and you did all that without finding out? Don't you work for money? So sad indeed! Your number one enemy here is Uber. The company is very useless both from their response and approach to the matter. I don't blame them either since you are also taking the issue with levity. Stringent issues demand stringent approach. Can't you storm their office in Ikoyi and cause a scene. Nigerian organizations dont respect text, emails and paper communications in matters like this. The solution to her problem is quite easy. Tell her to relocate out of Lagos to a relatively cheap city, like Abeokuta, Ilishan, Akure etc. She will get an affordable Nursery & Primary School/accommodation there as against Ikeja. It's not by force to die in Lagos. I wish her well. |

Enough of this scriptural hypocrisy. What joy do we derive in idolizing everything in this part of the world? Countries like China and Korea where everything works know nothing about the Holy Spirit, worship idols and yet they are far better than Nigeria with abundant churches. There is no general rule of thumb in life. Believe what you believe, but dont thwart it and mendanciously impress it on others. This is a distance in the wrong direction! It's high time we gather ourselves and pursue purpose rather than running after shadows like PMB & His team did in their first 3 years of Government. What is the neccesity in spending millions on a fact finding Committee. To what end? What is done is done and can only be undone. Amosun is a drowning man, and a drowning man would catch straws in a bid to resist sinking. Oshiomole is just a victim of circumstances. Its unheard that a man in his right thinking senses would want to have it all in a political circle. Amosun and his advisers are bad public leaders. It is an exercise in futility. He started his campaign on a foul and deceptive note as usual. Nigerians are tired of emotional campaign strategy. He claimed to be from a very poor background when in the actual fact he attended Corona School and then proceeded to an American University. How deceptive? A lot of us here went to public schools from Primary to secondary and tertiary. A leader should be truthful at all times. Until he acknowledges his privileged background and hinges his campaign on a more philosophical ground rather than the usual deceptive sentiments, Nigerian Youths would not identify with him. Truthfully but bitterly, as much as you are paying ur tithes, offering, special offering and first fruits, no pastor or ministry cares for what you do for a living. He must have been a committed and financial member (pastor) for the G.O to know him. |
