Politics / History Being Repeated? by Tinubutoto: 7:19am On Jan 30, 2017
History Being Repeated?
.
In 1983:
.
$1 = N 1
£1 = N2
Volkswagen Beetle = N400
Foods were in abundance
Kids were in school
Businesses were booming with vibrant
economy and people were gainfully
employed.
No illegal arrest or media trial.
Rule of law was maintained.
.
On 31 December, 1983, he and his criminal
gang struck with the excuse of tackling
widespread corruption and within few
months,
.
$1 = N15
£1 = N40
Volkswagen Beetle = N8, 000
Kids dropped out of school because their
parents couldn't afford their school fees
anymore.
Businesses closed down.
Foods were rationed as people queued up
for essential commodities.
Many Nigerians lost their jobs because the
economy collapsed.
Innocent Nigerians were arrested for free
speech and human rights violated with
impunity.
The Constitution was suspended.
.
He blamed Alh. Shagari's govt for this mess.
He blamed corruption, yet he jailed Dr. Alex
Ekwueme (the Vice President) but left
Shagari (the president) in his palace.
.
But when another gang threw him out, and
within few months, Nigerians started
smiling again. Our kids returned to school,
food was in abundance again, Nigerians got
their jobs back and the economy was
revived etc.
.

In 2015:
.
$1 = N197-210
£1 = N289-320
Cars were affordable with local
manufacturers smiling to the bank.
Food was in abundance (at least a bag of
rice was N7, 000)
Kids were in school
Businesses were booming with vibrant
economy and people were gainfully
employed.
No illegal arrest or media trial.
Protesters (esp BBOG) were not killed or
teargassed.
.
On 29 May, 2015 when he was 'jega-ed' into
power:
.
$1 = N315-490
£1 = N550-610
Local car manufactures shut down their
plants due to harsh economic condition.
Famine was unleashed on Nigerians and a
bag of rice rose to N22, 000/27, 000 while
minimum wage remains N18, 000.
Kids dropped out of school.
Businesses closed down, millions lost their
jobs and inflation is in double digits.
Illegal arrest, disregard of Rule of Law and
media trial is the order of the day.
Peaceful Protesters (esp IPOB) are being
killed like chicken without provocation.
.
Just like in 1985, he's blaming corruption
and his predecessor for the same mess he
created within few months of assumption
of office.
"YOU CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN
AND EXPECT A KING."

Foreign Affairs / Execution Of Christians No Longer Acceptable, Says Trump by Tinubutoto: 10:06pm On Jan 29, 2017
President, Donald Trump has remained resolute in his hedge-hammer
especially on the Islamist terrorists, saying the wanton execution of
Christians in the world would no longer be tolerated.
President Trump who took to his twitter handle to state this also said that
countries need strong borders because the terrorism happening in the
world has made it a total mess.
President Donald Trump
Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large
numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) 29 January 2017
Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look
what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world – a
horrible mess!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) 29 January 2017
Recall that President Donald Trump tweeted his defense Sunday of
his order temporarily banning immigration to the United States for
refugees and some Muslim travelers — a controversial policy
which has sparked international furor and two days of US protests.
“Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW.
Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world – a
horrible mess!” Trump wrote.
US airports and other sites across the United States, including the
White House, were expected to see a second wave of protests
Sunday against Trump’s temporary immigration ban, which a
federal judge partially blocked by ordering authorities not to deport
detained refugees and other travelers.
The ruling also coincided with a wave of anger and concern
abroad, including among US allies.
A second Trump tweet took aim at a favorite whipping boy, the
New York Times, which has ramped up its political coverage and
toughened its tone as his presidency got underway just over a
week ago.
“Somebody with aptitude and conviction should buy the FAKE
NEWS and failing @nytimes and either run it correctly or let it fold

that's a big lie. this is not the first time we have heard about foreigners being involved in the menace. we have heard that since the 90's and this isn't the first time state governments have backed their herdsmen they have equally done that since the 90's. Attributing a menace that has been on for 50 years plus to Buhari is pure mischief. Your brain couldn't be dripping with mucus and still expect to say something reasonable.
Can you please refer me to any publication or news report showing previous government blaming Ghana, Niger, Chad, Cameroon etcetera as the brain behind the incessant killings in the North with regards to herdsmen or you go and deep your head in a well.

Stop this show of shame just because u r an apc apologist, I never said Buhari is the cause of the incessant killings. This is just a clarion call for your likes to prevail on your pay masters to stop shifting the goal posts (blaming foreigners).

Calling people names like a 5 year old girl would neither give more credibility to his article nor his personality. It wouldn't redeem his reputation as a coward, a betrayer and a 2 faced human. Time done in kuje has left FFK frustrated. The herdsmen menace has been with us for decades. Let us seek solution to it instead of attributing it to Buhari or the APC. Statistics show that between 2010 and 2013, an estimated 3,000 people were killed in this conflict. Instead of calling people names like a 10 year old boy/he should join in proffering solutions.
Do you know my problem with fellows like you? You guys are severely bereft of ideas or reasoning or history.

To put the record straight, there was never a time in the history of this country where the Federal and State governments will both come to the defence of these diminutive, crude and dirty herdsmen. Yara Dua was a Muslim but never defended fulani herdsmen, Makarfi, Yakowa etcetera were all governors and none told us those culprits are from Chad, Senegal and what have you.

APC bleeped up big time for attributing this menace to foreigners. Please use you head and not your anus.

can you see you are being grossly stupid & blinded by the very hate you condemn in others?

if you had an atom of logic, you should know that what will constitute 'concrete proof' is for the there to be evidence that the request for registration of a christian body was turned down.

in institutions of higher learning (which I doubt you have been to) ALL MAJOR associations are registered with the school authority.

you do not condemn illegality by condoning illegality.

is nairaland populated mostly by retards?
No point of glorifying you by joining issues with you, there Is nothing I will say that will make sense to you because you have sworn to die on top Bingoari's matter.

But to make you stop being foolish, in a higher institution, the Dean Student Affairs controls association and once a letter restricting the 'registration of a particular sect there is no need of attempting to register.

You mean, if Nigerian constitution says you must be 40yrs and above to contest for president, you will still go ahead to purchase party nomination form because you are a Nigerian?

oh gush, you r even dumber that I'd envisaged.

2. has any Christian body applied for registration as an association within the institution & it was turned down? that would give a clearer picture of the situation.

You guys reasoning is upside down, what is the essence of applying and see whether it would be refused first?

Politics / Re: FG Must Create Urhobo/Isoko State From Delta State. by Tinubutoto: 11:58am On Jan 22, 2017
LordAdam7:

True. Although I'm ethnically Isoko, I was born in Itsekiri land, lived in an Urhobo community, but in the minority Ijaw part of the community (those who know Effurun would know where I'm talking about), and the only local language everyone in the public school I studied in learned as a subject was Urhobo (it was compulsory. Whether you're an Hausa or Ukwani. Even wrote an exam on the subject in Junior WAEC).

Therefore, it hurts when I see a culturally-rich state like Delta being pulled down by unscrupulous elements due to insincerity and greed.

Even at the top, they all come together. Ibori (an Urhobo man), Tompolo (Ijaw man), Clark (Ijaw man), Uduaghan (Itsekiri), Okowa (Anioma), Leo Ogor (Isoko) are all in one political camp, and these are the people that matter in Delta.

Therefore, there's no reason why we can't all live together in harmony, simply because we hit one small success of 13% derivation. Now no body wants to respect the well-arranged and agreed format we've adopted for more than one century. It's sad.

-Lord
Tribal bigot like you, sp*t on your h**d.

Urhobo and Isoko put together is not up to Rivers Ijaw and u r hear ranting. Educationally, call any family in Urhobo land that can match the Karibi-Whytes, the Spiffs, the Alagoas, the Amachrees and I will accept your shallow thinking.

@nowenuse

If you think I'd turn this into a tribalism e-war, you're sadly mistaking.

I've made valid points, and if you're half as intelligent as you are, and not an emotional p.o.s; you'd see that your mouth or hands could pass off as an as* because of how much sh*t is coming out of it.

Now that we've gotten that bit of vituperation out of the way (you did start it with the "Urhobo black ass" reference).

That said, I don't know where you got your education from, but clearly you lack comprehension.

Again I repeat, no one gives a shit about Ijo's influence outside of Delta. In Bayelsa, they can do as they bloody like. But in Delta, Edo, Ondo, or Rivers they have to play ball with the major ethnic group -- Urhobos, Binis, Yoruba, and Igboid groups in Rivers respectively.

Call any independent observer and that's the consensus they will make. Do as you wish in Bayelsa where you guys have the clear majority. Outside Bayelsa you can go Bleep yourself if you don't like the majority group.

Go and tell the Binis that they don't compare to Ijaws and so Ijaws should occupy both Dep Gov and SSG seats in Edo and see whether there will not be Ijo genocide in Edo.

About the fact that you guys can become governor and no one can do anything, I'm sure you remember that Ibori an Urhobo man will have the final say not an inconsequential person like you.

Again you talk about claim. Go and look at the population figures, the Urhobos are more than the Aniomas. It is a FACT not a CLAIM.

The reason Asaba was made a state capital--I do have to educate you because Ijos are generally uneducated even about their own history--was because Babangida's wife Maryam was from Asaba. And when Babangida couldn't give the Aniomas the state they were demanding, he compensated them with the state capital as the second largest ethnic group in the state.

Even till date, everyone knows Warri is the unofficial state capital and Financial capital. So I reckon you're either not a Delta Ijo or you're grossly misinformed. Urhobos own the comedy industry in Nigeria. The Aniomas have given a lot to Nigerian football and economy. Please what have Delta Ijos done to rep Delta State? Blowing up pipes is all you guys can contribute.

Even the Isokos are more educated than Ijaws. Ijaw people no dey go school. You fit b the only graduate for your village (that's if you don graduate sef).

Let me not go further. Every body has been living fine in Delta State together pre 1914 until 1992, that is more than 80 years; with Urhobos at the forefront. Then from no where you guys are making absurd claims and expecting others to be in servitude with a totally dissatisfying attitude. Thunder rape you!

Id*ot!

I don reply you finish. Make una win Udu fight make I c. Nonsense!

-Lord

I think you are high on Ukwale weed, Urhobo schooled more than Ijaw? Is not your fault, but for the record, let me enlighten you that Ijaws have had the highest number of JSC, JCA, PROFS etc in South South. Have you heard of the Karibi-Whyte family? That is the family with highest JSC, JCA and they are all Ijaws.

Comparing Urhobo to Ijaw educationally is madness taken too far

Now they have the Dep Gov. and SSG seats. This was solely because of their connection to Abuja (specifically between Tompolo and GEJ).

The Ijaws are getting increasingly agitated and with the loads of armory they've amassed in the ND struggle, they feel they can do anything and get away with it. You don't hear about many of the community fights because they are not usually newsworthy. But as bolaino confirms, the frequency is worrying.

Unfortunately, the same gra gra they're doing in Delta, they can't replicate in Ondo, Edo, or Rivers. The Aniomas that are the second largest have never given the other big 4 the trouble that Delta Ijos are infamous for. The question is why always them?

It's a tactic. Foment so much trouble that you threaten violence and others cow to your demands. Exactly the same tactic used by the Fulanis.

If this continues, they'd dethrone the Urhobos as the most formidable ethnic group in Delta State. This mustn't happen. A minority ethnic should not be allowed to lord over a majority. It is unacceptable.

-Lord
I said it before that u know nothing about ND. In Rivers, Ijaws. have 11 lgas and if not for Jonathan's election annoyance, Dakuku an Ijaw man would've won Wike. Ijaw has the highest number of local government in Rivers State.

Bros, wetin dey do you?

How you go talk say Ijaw get approximately 4? What is approximately?

Ijaws have 3 core LGAs (Bomadi, Burutu and Patani). Then there are major Ijaw communities in Warri North, South, and South West.

The population in Burutu when you dey raise shoulder for no reach the population of Isoko North.

Urhobo with their 8 local governments get more population pass the Anioma people with their 9 local governments.

Delta Central population is 1.5 million, so your talk about Urhobo not up to 1 million is NONSENSE.

Urhobos have one senatorial district. Aniomas have one senatorial district. Ijaw, Isoko, and Itshekiri share one senatorial district.

So, when Urhobos say kpeem for Delta, Ijaws suppose dey prostrate. Always fomenting trouble everywhere.

u just fooled yourself, for purpose of clarity, let me educate u a bit.

Ijaws have Bomadi, Burutu and Patani.

Warri South West is 55% Ijaw and 44%Itsekiri, Warri North is 60% Itsekiri and 40%Ijaw all in terms of ward. The two Isoko local government voting strength is what, check INEC VOTERS REGISTRATION AND COME BACK HERE

We have sell outs in the Uhrobo nation. Saboteurs in exalted positions (Ibori was one; in fact he started it)

Some of you talk nonsense, Delta North and the ijaws alliance will always triumph against Urhobo and Isoko. The voting strength in Ughelli, sapele and Abraka is always divided because non Urhobo are almost 30% but the reverse is the case amongst the Ijaw land where they always give a bulk vote to 1 candidate.

Why not tell me where in the entire country that this has happened before now, that it is an opposing party that chooses a leader for the other party just because they are in majority?? It is only in Rivers such desperate and uncouth politics always raises its ugly head.

By your argument, you are already setting a dangerous precedence which will be used to distort democracy at the different parliaments. The position of Majority Leader and Minority Leader are the prerogatives for the caucus they are to lead.

If this is made to stand, it will usher in a different regime, where the majority party in any parliament (either at state or federal level) chooses whoever they want as the minority Leader of the opposition party.
What happened in Plateau when the minority elected the speaker from apc against the majority pdp? Hypocrisy, then you called it politics I guess?
