Good morning mama's, I've been at the hospital since last night as instructed by the Dr. I'm 37 3days. Like I said I've been having contraction since last week Monday & becoming stronger though going on & off. Dr. said they'll induce wt cathetar & observe for 12 hrs b4 they can know if it works or progress to tablet.
BUT...
my fear is d Dr said if it doesn't work it's CS. God knows I DON'T want CS because I still want to try to get pregnant early next year.
Pls what shud I do? What is the accuracy of inducing? I mean the percentage of it working? I'm really confused. Pls advice me. I'm confused

I had my first scan which shows I’m 5weeks and 4days but from my LMP I’m suppose to be 6weeks 4days.
Is this normal? What’s the cause and what can I do to correct it?

Please I need your advice on something bothering me. By special grace of God, I am expected to have my baby in 3 months time. The issue is that I don't want my mother to come for my omugwo. I am her only daughter but she hate me so much. At first I thought it is old age but she's just 60+ and I have seen older women treating their daughter right.

The last omugwo she came I saw hell, I gave birth on Monday and she came on Thursday. I had 3rd degree tear(that type that they will stitch from a anus to vagina) I explained to her that I can't stand for long because of the pain. Meanwhile before she came, a woman from my husband place was taking care of me and she won't let me come down from bed except to eat, bath, breastfeed my baby and sleep. But when she saw my mum, she stopped coming. The woman already prepared soup and kept inside freezer on Wednesday before my mum arrived. It was that soup we ate till Sunday. On Sunday morning I asked my mum what we will eat and she told me to wait for people that are coming to visit us so I can send any of them to market and cook. Like how can I send my visitor message? So I waited for my husband and son to come back from church. I just took tea and also served her. My husband went to market and bought the things I needed to make stew. My baby was sleeping and I went inside kitchen to make stew. My mum sat down comfortably in the sitting room watching film and gisting with visitors that came to see me and my baby. I was in serious pain but I have to cook what me and everybody will eat. I served her the food after cooking and she gladly ate it. She's is neither sick or having pain anywhere.

My mother never cook anything in my house for 4 months till she left. The day I mentioned it to her. She started crying that she knows I hate her like my father. Like how? I even expected her to apologise and lie that she wasn't feeling fine that day. Among all her children, I give her more money but she always show me I am not important.

The question is, even though this is my third child, I can barely take care of child under 1 month. Apart from cooking, my mum always makes me cry by telling me some very harsh word. She will force me to drink very hot water that I can't even pour on my skin. If I refuse to drink she will get angry and start her wahala again. I don't just want her to come to my house again for my mental health. O ti su mi 😭😭

Good evening mama in the house.
There is an issue that keeps coming up and I need your advice.
My baby has sudden infant cry in his sleep and it is soo often. He is will be one year old in April.
I experience this with my first son however not as often as it is now with my second son.
We pray, we take off his cloth for more air, we use kernel oil on him but it’s just not work. After a few week we experience it a again.

Please what is the remedy. Thank you

Please I'm worried, is it okay to have a small bump at 7 months.. I'm really worried. Sometimes I try to Imagine the size of the baby. Is it possible to have visible changes in the coming month

(This isn't my first child tho)

I don't know why I am eager when we are just 4 months gone. With the first, I was very calm and I am surprised that I who was not interested in another child is the one who is now eager to have the baby here. It could be because I have been suspended due to headache, tiredness etc and I need to get back to my duty or just the fear of my wife's health or the fact that I have always have fears about raising children. Whatever it is, I am trusting God to continue to lead me.

Sabi Mamas, I went for my PCV test around 8weeks ago and the result came out 29% which I was told was low for a pregnant woman.

I was placed on 5weeks blood tablet can't remember the name but it is chewable.

Yesterday being 20/3/2023, I decided to go to a lab to redo the test, Lo and behold, it dropped to @28% after taking the blood capsul

I'm just confused her, Hubby bought Oblong 6 (I don't know if the spelling is okay) while coming back from work yesterday.

I have bought Ugu leaf and garden egg leave to start eating.

Mummies I am seriously crying here,I had my girl around 35weeks and she weighed 2.5kg when she was given her BCG.We went for our 6weeks appointment and I was told she weigh 2.5kg again.Though she's on formula and breast milk cus of my health for now.The hospital told me that since she feeds well,wet her diapers and stool regularly that there is no cause for alarm.Help me mummies,what should I do?

This is my 5th pregnancy with 3 girls on ground but the symptoms I'm currently having, I never experienced it o. The vomiting and nausea are dealing with me seriously. I'm so tired right now.

Thank you so much Mamas. I have read and re-read your advice. Yes, I intend to connect with Island Maternity tomorrow and register as a 2nd Option while I keep holding off till I start feeling what looks like contraction ( I didn't get to labour in my previous 2 children, so not sure what that truly feels like). Baby's original due date is January 2, so I will hold off (baby willing) till near that time and test again, if still positive, I go for Island Maternity. For now, I'm on all my meds and immune boosters.

My mamas, today wasnt a good one for me. I'm 37 weeks and have long been scheduled for elective CS next week Tuesday (38 weeks) due to previous complications.
However, last night I developed feverish symptoms and went to hospital only to recieve a positive COVID test. Now, the hospital is treating me like an alien, sent me home to isolate and won't attend to me till I get a negative covid result OR refer me to another hospital that is able to handle covid.
My question to anyone who has experienced it;
1. How long after a positive result will I see negative one?
2. I cannot afford to go into labour, should I have the hospital refer me? They mentioned Paelon and when I researched, i found that Paelon hospital requires me to drop 5 million naira to even attend to me. I don't have that, so what can I do now?
6. I am presently on Azythromycin, Coatem, Zinc, Vitamin C and Vitamin D (in high doses) for 1 week. Won't all these drugs affect baby? Will these drugs help the positive change to negative by next week Tuesday?

Abeg help me Mamas, I'm totally lost.

June mama here. It hasn't been funny at all. I have not had a full night sleep since June. They say it gets better after three months. I'm just waiting for August ending to come. I've been having sore/cracked nipples too . I'm doing exclusive. Please, who knows the remedy for sore nipples?
For the sore nipples u can express for a while till it heals,after healing make sure baby latches well on the breast,the nipple and part of the black part too in the mouth,not the nipple alone.

Please I had Malaria like symptoms soo I took a pill for antimalarial and realized I had missed my period so I didn't take the remaining 5pills left,I just found it that am pregnant hope this wouldn't affect the baby or will it as they said malaria drugs is not good during first trimester.
