Good morning house,

I have F1 visa and admission in Northeastern University.
pls is it possible that
1. I go to the university register few courses and then transfer my admission to another school?
2. I go into America and process a new admission entirely for Aug/sept 2021 and not resume at all.

You will be wondering why all this?
Na because of high school fees, way too expensive and I thought I will get more scholarship but only 10% off for now.

Number 1 is possible but do you have the other i-20 with you already? infact some school won't even require you to spend a semester with them, they will just transfer your Sevis record to the other school you want.

I know someone (BSC) who got admission into a university and a community college but got his visa with the university i-20 and when he got to the usa, he went to the university and told him he would like to transfer to the community college instead but he gave them good reasons.

They transferred it and went to the community college which was just $4500 per year, he did the best thing than staying out of status. But most schools won't transfer your Sevis record to a different school without you spending at least a semester with them

Good evening.
I gained admission for fall 2020,and I was denied visa at Lagos consulate on Nov 6, 2020. I then scheduled another appointment in hopes for a closer date to my date of resumption in January.
But, as at then April 05,was the only available date. I then defered my admission to fall 2021. So, sometime in December, I rescheduled from April 06,2021- February 05,2021. But, it just came to my notice, that I am meant to go to the embassy for a visa interview when it is 120 days to fall resumption..

My question is, is there any harm in taking my i-20 for fall 2021 to the embassy for my interview on February 05,2021,since it is more than 120 days to fall resumption .

You won't be attended to. It's already stated that you can only apply for a visa interview 120days to your resumption date. You should have deferred your admission to the summer semester which resumes around April instead of Fall. Tho most schools don't take in students for the summer semester

The only thing you can do is that you reschedule your appointment date and make it within 120days to your resumption date

please can someone respond to this

If you don't get an extension letter from your school to take to the embassy, why not defer your admission to the summer semester. The resumption should be around April and you can still go for your interview on the 26th of this month since it's will be within 120days to your resumption date.

Just send a message to your school to defer your admission and if they're fast enough, you should get an updated i-20 for the summer semester before Jan 26th.

Hello everyone, i need clarification on something very important.. im pretty sure my sevis fee was supposed to be expired by now but i did check and its still valid..
This might sound like a bery unnecessary question but do i need to pay for a new sevis fee becAuse the last payment was made in july 2019.

It doesn't matter, even a Sevis fee paid in 2016 will still reflect if you check it but it can't be used anymore since it's over a year.

Thank you. Would this transfer be initiated on the immigration website or the school website?

You'll be the one to transfer it by going to fmjfee.com and you follow the instruction on how to transfer to a new sevis ID

Good day house. I would like to ask a question pertaining to SEVIS fees. I currently have an admission for Summer 2021 but it is not yet funded. So last December, I applied to a number of schools with the hopes of getting alternatives of funded admission offers in the coming months. I have already paid visa application fees and I have a visa interview date for my current unfunded offer, but I have not yet paid SEVIS fees. My question is this: Suppose I have already paid SEVIS fees for the current unfunded admission, then I get another funded offer. I then decide to reapply for a visa using the funded school's i-20. Would I then have to pay SEVIS fees again?

No you don't have to pay the sevis fee again. All you need to do is just transfer your sevis record from the old sevis ID to the new one yourself

ok thanks i think if i change it to April 29th it would be better , but before i change . i would like to find out if shift my entry to summer 2021, would the new i20 still show the same student sevis ID

It depends on your school. They're the only one to tell if they admit international students for summer semester but if not, it's better you reschedule your appointment.

Abeg
Just go to Fmjfee.com and insert your Sevis ID, Name and date of birth then you click on "check status/view payment receipt" then you'll print out the receipt.

It is 100% possible, the SEVIS fee is still valid but it won't be valid by the time I'll be reapplying for Visa as it would be more than a year by then so it would be valid for anybody trying to pay for Spring and Summer session.

Wow. I didn't know one could do it this way, transferring your Sevis payment to another applicant. I thought your profile would have been linked to it already.

Hello guys, kindly DM if you would be resuming for Spring 2021 and you're yet to pay your SEVIS fee...... I'll transfer payment to your SEVIS account as my SEVIS fee would expire before I'm able to reapply for Visa against Fall semester.
Thank you!!!

You mean you've made a Sevis fee payment and would like to transfer it to someone who hasn't made the payment yet. It's not possible, it can't be done.

Sevis fee is valid for a year and even if you wish to apply to a different school for fall, it can be transfered to the new school Sevis ID. So if it's still within a year, you have nothing to worry about

so does it mean that I can not use a different school that I just got admission into for summer semester because I have not yet paid my sevis fee for that school yet , so are there anyways I can update my ds-160 form and change the school?

It seems you can do that. you'll fill a new ds-160, you can't update it. After you've done that you'll go to your visa appointment page and click on "UPDATE PROFILE" and then you input the new ds-160 confirmation code. Someone did something similar to this around 2018 here but can't remember the person.

hello my people please I have something to share with you and if may be I can receive any contributions from you it will really be nice. I already booked my appointment and I am having my interview march 2021, so it means I wouldn't be able to use it for my admission that was given to me to resume in January 2021 since I was not given the emergency interview, my school only have spring and fall semesters. what can I do in this place? is it possible for me to use another school that has summer semester? and how will I be able to change my school details to the new school in my application. please your help is needed, thank you.

I don't know if you can use a different school information but what I'm 100% of is that you can just defer this current admission to summer or fall semester. if it's summer, you don't need to reschedule the appointment by changing the dates but if your school offers only the fall semester. You can only go the the embassy 120days to your resumption date and most fall semester resumes around August.

What you can do is reschedule your appointment date to May so that is can be within 120days to your resumption date.

Now Biden is leading in 3 states. Nevada, Michigan and Wisconsin. He needs just 32 more electoral votes to become the president and the 3 states gives him exactly 32. If his lead in these 3 states ends this way. Bye bye to Trump

Biden already has 238 votes. he's leading in Nevada(6 electoral votes) and Wisconsin(10 electoral votes). If he wins both states, that will be a total of 254 votes.

He needs a state with an electoral votes of 16 or above( PA, MI or GA) to become the President. if he miraculously takes any one of these states. It's over

Wow. So Biden has 238 votes. If he takes Neveda's 6 electoral college which he his currently leading at and Wisconsin's 10 which he is also currently leading at and miraculously take Georgia's 16. That's a total of 270.
