just imagine oh
You think the fault is from my end because trying to book for Lagos it keeps showing me no dates available

But if I try to put Abuja as the location it brings October 8 2021
Any idea what I can do or who I can mail ?

This is strange, same dates should be available for everyone to pick. I haven't seen anyone who has experienced this before so I can't give a sure answer on what you can do but maybe you should mail the US consulate and let them know what you're going through

Good Morning Everyone
Please i have a question and i will be glad if you all can help clarify it
I have schedule for an emergency appointment sometimes in january this year, but it but it was not approved then i went to schedule appointment for march 24th this year which was cancelled by the embassy without any reason, so my question is i am applyimg for summer and there are no dates available for abuja and lagos, if i apply for an emergency appointment again and its not approved would i be paying for another visa appointment or i can still use the same MRV. I will appreciate your opinion please

They probably sent a message to your mail when your appointment was cancelled, maybe you didn't see it on time. A lot of people got their appointment cancelled late last month and dates in March and April were released. The only thing you can do is apply for an emergency appointment and hope you get approved.

hian at this point I’m a bit scared oh why isn’t mine showing me jan 4

Maybe their system is going through an update. Jan 4 might reappear later for you cause I'm still seeing it here
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by tiptoe1: 9:27am On Mar 17, 2021
Malone122:
right now it shows no available date but do you think dates would open up as in it’s just March
At least from April middle / ending

I feel they'll still open up dates for April, because there are student who are going for summer that resumes next month and haven't gotten dates yet. I can still see Jan 4 from my end

thanks so much should the money be in his debit or credit card and aside the payment coupon is there anything else he needs to take to western union ?

Both cards can be used for payment. All he needs is the payment coupon and the $350.

Can you pay in Nigeria (in Nigerian banks) through Western Union?

If not, how do I pay it, I have no one abroad to help

It can't be paid in a nigerian bank. You can contact Walspring, he has assisted a lot of people in making the payment.

oh thank you very much for this. Does this mean it cannot be paid online by just using a card details without going to any western union branch ?

No, it can't be paid online. It's either you mail a check/money order of $350 to Sevis address or you pay at any western union branch.

any one please

My friend's brother who lives in UK made the payment for him with a debit card. I'm sure it should be possible in Canada also. The person should go to any western union branch and make the payment there once you've sent him your payment coupon

There is currently a date available for Visa interview. It is still available as I just scheduled it, April 13th. If you don't get it tonight, I suggest you try again around midnight tomorrow.

Is it Lagos or Abuja and are you going for summer or fall?

Thanks I appreciate your time. I just calculated mine and the total is 2.583, how is Waec cgpa rated for undergraduate admission?

The cpga for admission will be stated on their list of requirements. It's not the same for every school, so just check your school's website

A1-5
B2-4
B3-3
C4-2.75
C5-2.50
C6-2
D7-1.50

well I can comfortably take the backlash from all comments. As long as I get relevant information. Thanks for replying, I am applying for undergraduate degree. Fall 2021, do I need both TOEFL and SAT, or just one? If only one, which is more affordable as regards to exam fee.

Like I said earlier, not all school requires an English test(TOEFL) from Nigerian students because they see Nigeria as an English speaking country so most schools waive it so it depends on the school you're applying to.

It means you'll write just SAT and if you perform well in it and you also have a good CGPA after evaluating your WAEC result, I don't see any reason you shouldn't be given a scholarship, you also have to check the school's requirement about getting scholarship because not all schools offer scholarship.

And about the cost, I don't have an idea but since you're trying not to spend much, look for schools that don't require an English test from Nigerian students so you'll be left with only SAT to write.

Don't conclude cause what God cannot do does not exist, the oil on everybody's head is kukuma different . I have studied in Nigeria at a top music school through scholarship and it's God that gave me. I have also read posts on this tread of people especially one where the guy was testifying how an unusual email popped up offering him fully funded scholarship in USA and it was all glory to God. I believe we all are here to share helpful information on US schools, opportunities and student visa processing. Should anyone know of schools with opportunities I described earlier, kindly share. Thanks. P.S I am doing my due diligence in using search engines to find info.

Stop fooling around and change the oil in your head. So you think the email popped up without the applicant doing the necessary things?

If you are going for a Bsc program, you'll take TOEFL and
SAT.. If MBA, you'll take GMAT.. if going for MSc, GRE and TOEFL (some schools sees Nigeria as an anglophone country so the English test is always waived)

Study each school requirements and make sure to adhere to it. You can also call them or send a mail if there are more
questions, you'll surely be assisted

You can also ask for funding opportunities that is financial
aid that range from full ride to partial scholarship, Teaching
Assistant, Research Assistant, Graduate Assistant. These
comes with some stipend, which you have to work for of
course and not hope an unusual email pop up on your timeline.

Hello Gurus in the house

I need your your advice on this.
When I was online filling the form for sevis payment. After filling the form , I was notified that I had paid on this SEVIS number back in 2019 and there is possibility that I might not need to pay again if want to pay I should continue with the payment process . Should I continue with fresh payment or the payment I made on the sevis ID in 2019 is still valid .

Thanks .

Sevis fee payment is valid for a year.

This question may sound funny. At what point of the VISA processing does one pay the SEVIS fee please??

After you've gotten your i-20. It needs to be paid before going for your interview

Sadly, there are no more early interview dates

And embassy is not approving emergency dates or interviews

All days from March-October are all booked up

The earliest date is November

Those going for Fall 2021 semester are not affected.

But those going for Spring and Summer semesters

Sorry guys cry

Contact your graduate school coordinator and defer your admission to Fall 2021 then quickly go and book your interview for November, because if care is not taken, November will be filled up too.

False information. The earliest available date for student visa interview in Lagos is June and I know someone who got approved for an emergency appointment on Thursday for March.

Lastly, you can't got for a fall 2021 interview on November because the fall semester resumes around August/September.

Hello Fam,
My wife’s visa got approved this morning at Lagos embassy... exactly a week of her denial at Abuja embassy. Glory to God. Please, we are thinking of deferring the admission if possible to August, just to hustle more for money and I want to know if that will not jeopardize her visa! Gurus, kindly advice.
School: UMKC
#fairheart, you no reply my mail since last week oh

It can't, a lot of people have deferred their admission after getting their visa. Just make sure the Sevis ID on the i-20 you'll be given for fall is the same as the one she got her visa with. Congrats to her
