slimanyd: Thanks jare. Sine agent if doom are already jumping everywhere happy that care route us now stopped. Imagine them been happy 😊 😃 cos uk redlist Nigeria. Chai. Awon ota aje. No o. Nigeria has been on that list for a long time. I think the Nigerian government signed that treaty when they noticed the high numbers of healthcare worker leaving the country. They can't ask us not to leave the country so they stopped international organisations from sending recruiting agencies over here. This is just an updated list, we've been on the list before now |

MrDelima: Someone with deep knowledge of this shld pls explain to us.
1) Does it mean only NHS can employ from the counties on red list and healthcare companies can't again?
2) Will it affect those that have always gotten COS and are from the red list countries?
3) Will it also affect those that have already applied for the visa and awaiting decision but are from the red list countries?
Your response and feedback will be beneficial and appreciated by large number of people on this forum The WHO update their red list countries every 3years and Nigeria has been on the list, I'm surprised people are just noticing this now. What that article means is that recruiting agencies from UK can't come to Nigeria to recruit. An example is EducationUSA, they're an international organisation that comes to Nigeria to lecture student who wishes to study in the USA. So it means recruiting agencies from an hospital or a care home in UK can't come to Nigeria to lecture and recruit people because the UK government signed a treaty with the Nigerian government to recruit healthcare worker from Nigeria but the Nigerian government declined it. So it means you're the one who will apply yourself to the company, the company won't send their recruiting personnel over here. It's clearly written that organisations are only permitted to recruit on the terms of the government-to-government agreement, but in the case of Nigeria, the agreement signed can't let them. The healthcare route hasn't been stopped, Na just rumour. COS will keep coming and those greedy agents will continue cashing out. |

Oscar5th: Thanks. £1270 goes for N714,242, even if I make it up to N800,000, there won't be any problem if it's not 1 million naira. N800,000 is okay. You don't need to have up to a million naira. Just have the required £1270 in naira using Oanda rate and you're good to go. |

Oscar5th: For UK Work Visa how much is supposed to be saved in account in 28 days, please let it be in naira value. You need at least £1270 and you'll calculate it using Oanda rate. Just go to Oanda website to calculate it and add an extra 30k to it since the rate isn't fixed. |

Godfidence1960: Please I got admitted for fall 2023 for my masters degree... I got an interview date for March 10 can I go for the interview ,or can I reschedule, I’m thinking it out of the 120 window days Two things are likely to happen, you might be turned back to reschedule and book a date with the 120days frame or you might be interviewed and if successful, your passport will be given back to you and your application will be on pending and will be asked to send your passport through a courier to the embassy when its within the 120days frame for your visa stamp(happened to a close friend). Goodluck |

okeysoninv: there is report of uk immigration deporting people at the point of entry. Especially those that used paid agent to get work and cos. Without following due process. A lot of people make use of this thread and it's always not good enough when you post an unverified information here. Ever heard of recruiting agencies or employment agencies? It's an organization which matches employers to employees and they're very much legal in all countries. Everyone who got their COS through recruiting agencies submitted their CV and did a normal interview. |

slimanyd: I have it on good info that they attimes inform people of cos that comes with work and those that do not come with work. It's glaring his agent did not disclose the type of cos he gave him while some agent will tell you before they start ur application. Infact. There was advert I saw for that of cos that doesn't come with work sef. So, Those agents tend to take advantage of our ignorance as regards that aspect. At this point. It's better applicant ask for all the terms and conditions concerning the COS they'll be given if they're getting it through an agent. Never knew about this until now. Chai this is unfair na |

Generalkoke: I guess so.. a lot of people are in the same situation in the Uk too though.. Since you said this company are not concerned about losing their license. Try applying to other care homes since most of them prefer people already in the UK. You shouldn't wait till they revoke your COS which is most likely to happen at this point. |

Manuelmarvyy: I don't think so. The only accepted IELTS for skilled worker migration is IELTS UKVI General and can't be used for Academic Purpose. Also, The IELTS UKVI Academics is only for Academics and can't be used for Skilled worker migration. This is a screenshot from IELTS website, you should check home website and thier English requirements states that both UKVI General and Academics are both accepted for a skilled worker visa |

kayus2009: Good day house, My wife resumption date on both her COS and offer letter has passed due to her employer rescheduling her resumption to this month end and she will be traveling next week. Hope this will not cause issue at the POE? I need urgent response please. There's an expiry date on the COS. If it's not past the expiry date yet then there nothing to be worried about. We've had people traveled after their resumption date on this thread but if you're worried it might be an issue, you can tell the company to write a letter relating to the change of resumption date incase you're being questioned at the POE. |

eniola1010: I usually think if an employer sponsors someone from nigeria with cos, thats all thats needed for the person to pack his bags and travel as well as the ihs, visa fee and other peripheral stuffs.
Not until recently i started seeing point based criteria. I'm quite confused. Can someone explain please. I can't tell if it has always being like this but at 2021 when I started following the skilled worker visa. applicants will need to accrue a total of 70 points to be eligible for the visa. The applicable 70 points threshold for a skilled worker visa is made up of 50 points for mandatory criteria and 20pts for tradable criteria. You'll need to get 50 mandatory pts from the following *A genuine job offer from a licensed sponsor-20pts *English proficiency-10pts *Job offer which is at level of rqf3 or above-20pts Then you'll need an extra 20pts which can be gotten from the attached picture to complete your required 70pts for you to be eligible for the visa Failure to meet the required points will lead to a visa denial in most cases, I have a friend who did the normal ielts and and not the one for uk which is ielts for ukvi. The visa officer who attended to his application subtracted 10pts from his 70pts and was left with 60pts but was given 10days to provide the evidence that he has met the English requirements(ielts ukvi, ecctis, etc), but my guy couldn't meet up within the short period of time which later made them deny his visa.

Read back and you'll see someone who got a 3bedroom apartment for £700-£750 in Manchester, there are some inner city part where you won't get it at that price. You'll be having nothing less than £1500. Just because there are apartments rented for 5M naira per annum in Island doesn't mean you won't get an apartment rented for less than 2M nairaalso It's a simple logic, rural and urban areas. But because your friend in UK told you he couldn't get it at that price, you believe it's impossible for every other person. Your matter taya me |
