Sapele is not Igbo, please ! I don't know why you have to bring Sapele into whatever excuse you're trying to cook up for Igbo weak ass here !
I never said that, dummy
They were massacres targeted against the Igbos in Sapele, Warri and Calabar during the Biafran War
Go and read Objective History
What's in Sapele that an Igbo man would want to claim?
Palm wine and kaikai bars abi?

I understand your point of view but this modern day they all have Igbo man in their life and choose another for marriage for reason best known to them.

You might be right in your statistics but b4 war Igbo women has being marrying Yoruba
But they started other regions too
I can mention 7 former gov with Igbo wife
Thousands of civil servants
I'm from Asaba and I lost about 10 grand uncles in that Asaba Massacre. Who would marry the women they were supposed to marry in a society that is big on monogamy.
I lost my Mom nine years ago today and my Dad is still unmarried. Tomorrow, you might still blame that woman for buying property in the name of such a loyal man.
I'm not denying that AlaIgbo is not a patriarchal society but the stats doesn't tell the whole story.
Christianity and the Biafran War changed many things for the Igbos.
I can't get married until I'm sure of my capability and capacity to carry a family of at least 4 people including myself but an average Northerner can dabble into that without counting the cost. In fact, they do mass weddings there. How can a man who can't afford a decent wedding ceremony cater for his family?
The talk is long, on and on.

We have more Igbo women that marry Yoruba and south south people than Amy other region woman

Court marriage statistics in. Nigeria Igbo women are far leading marrying other tribes
Go to ikoyi court or any fedral court and check data
The Civil War caused a demographic problem for the Igbos
Do you know how many males were massacred in Asaba, Sapele etc
I'm sure you don't understand this

For the sake of the kids, I hope the man is innocent

Even without carrying out an thorough autopsy, the police can examine the body carefully to confirm if she truly died from ligature injuries. If you watch true crime series on tv and youtube, you'd understand how common cases like these are. I've watched countless cases that happened in US, maybe it's because they carry out thorough investigations and leave no stone unturned. There was one I watched where a woman poisoned her husband with fetanyl overdose and called the cops when she woke up the next morning and found him unresponsive. She even wrote a book about how she was coping as a widow with small kids and was interviewed by their local TV station. What she doesn't know are the police were carrying their discreet investigation because fetanyl is a highly controlled drug and they have to investigate where he got it from without a prescription for . They went through the man's internet history, not a trace of anything related to fetanyl or any drug. They went through the woman's history, what did they see? Different searches on how to buy fetanyl without being traced. Imagine if the police had concluded that it was because the wife called them to come and check on her husband, that's how she would have conveniently gotten away with murder.
I read that story and my fear for women increased
Imagine writing a book grieving a person you murdered
That was more brutal than the murder

Nnamdi Kanu death is a sure banker for the liberation of Biafra.

I studied history and know once a forerunner dies, the next in command takes over and the next significant event is for the international community to create a buffer zone and divide that country.

I hope the yorubas wont think it possible to attach theirself to Igbo or SS at the end of all this.

It will be impossible. Look to your people in Togo and go in peace will be the mantra.

Forget the lies of the ooni of ife, igbo and yoruba are never related.

Yoruba know where to locate their relatives in Togo.

Kanu has children, wife and in his 50s, if he die today, he did not die young or early.

However, that death will be very expensive to all you one Nigeria lovers, especially those of you that like oil and gas.
You just said it all

Politics › Re: If Only Igbo And Yorubas Could Unite, If Only by tishbite42: 6:57am On Nov 06, 2023
Don't even stress yourself over this argument.

Yorubas and Igbos can never and will never unite over anything.

There's no basis for such unity.

We, Yorubas should learn from history.

The first time we tried it, chief Obafemi Awolowo put his pride aside and tried to bury the hatchet.

He went to Azikiwe to form a coalition government with him. That was the only way the South of Nigeria could wrest power away from the North.

Meeting date was fixed and Awolowo went with his delegation to meet Nnamdi an Igbo man to tell him that he, Awolowo wouldn't mind ceding the Prime Ministerial position to him while he himself took the lesser governor general.

They waited and waited until they heard in the news that Azikiwe they were waiting for was already in the North offering Balewa the Prime Ministerial position while he took the lesser post.

We know how Ojuwku was trying to march his army through Yorubaland.

No. We will never come together for anything.

And I pray that Nigeria splits soon so we can all go out different ways.

Enough is enough.
Stop lying
Mbazulike Amaechi said the true story
Awo, in typical Yoruba fashion, sent two delegations at once. One to Zik and the other to Bello.
While Zik and his people were negotiating with ones sent to them, the phone rang and when Zik picked it up it was Bello on the line. Bello simply told him to accept his own offer or else he will form government with Awo whose representatives were with him at Kaduna! Zik was shocked to his marrows. He simply told Bello to give him some time for him to dialogue with his team.
After dropping the receiver, Zik told his people in Igbo language that the snake they were dealing with had two heads!
He promptly dismissed the Awo gang and told his people the conversation with Bello. It was there they all agreed that Awo wasn't trustworthy enough to do business with.
He made the call to Bello and the rest, they say, is history.
Be truthful.
