bidexiii: In CION operations air supremacy is vital and key and and as proven essential in iraq, ahfgan, isreal and other CION operations !
That is the US playbook.
You do not have raptors and tomcats and eagles.

First ask yourself why do you need aircraft?
to bypass hostile territory and "reach" a distant enemy?
artillery can deliver precision messages to someone 45 km away.
Politics › Re: Heavy Fighting As Troops Engage Boko Haram In Gwoza - Many Soldiers Died... by tit(f): 11:30pm On Aug 12, 2014
komekn: No they are NOT, in an urban setting to reduce collateral damage and civilian casualties you need PRECISION WEAPONRY they are not accurate, your talking could hit anything within a 500 metres radius if your lucky.
You make me laugh.
Havent the civilians fled Gwoza?
Is BH throwing a party for them?
Are there innocent civilians having a barbecue with BH in Gwoza?
Even the Emir of Gwoza is now a refugee.

Civilians have fled Gwoza!
Gwoza is now a free fire zone.
What is the cost of real estate there?
How many glass house and sky-scrapers?
If I were a company commander, nothing in Gwoza would be worth the life of one of my men.
I would pound the place to dust!
President Jonathan can use the $1B to rebuild the town.

komekn: The word is CORRUPTION if you have an idea of military procurement costings, then you will understand why all these generals can afford houses in Miatama.

Thats why we are struggling with boko 2nd hand substandard outdated equipment
our big guns and howitzers are very functional and fit for purpose.
Politics › Re: Heavy Fighting As Troops Engage Boko Haram In Gwoza - Many Soldiers Died... by tit(f): 8:23pm On Aug 12, 2014
komekn: What I am saying is that we lack precision weaponry ourselves, what gives you advantage is the level of your equipment, communications and armour.

For example we use the Otokar Cobra its light armoured, a 50 cal. (Boko have this in abundance) will penetrate, the 20mm they have on the their pick ups will rip it apart.

Secondly we don't even have enough of them, what we should have are IFV infantry fighting vehicles and up to date APC's with remote weapon stations I am talking near 100% accuracy at 1.5km with a 30mm.

We are fighting a war with 2/3 attack helicopters that's ridiculous.
You mean the NA officers are mumu?
That they bring light armor when the enemy has 50 cal and 20mm?
Is that not the classical bringing a knife to a gunfight?
Na him be say you wan die.
Why should the NA even faceoff 50 cal and 20 mm with 30mm.
Are they trying to play fair?
Shuoooo?
Do they not have big guns?
Get the BH technicals into a kill zone
And let the big guns do the rest.
All your Otokar and 30mm and Ak47 should just be for "clean-up".
Who fights fair these days?

On CNN today, Kurds are recapturing towns from ISIS.
even ISIS no wan die.
they are running away from the fight.
Politics › Re: YOU CAN'T THREATEN ME ; Jonathan Tells Northern Elders. by tit(f): 8:11pm On Aug 12, 2014
If President Jonathan wants to win in 31 of the 36 states in the 2015 elections,
he should sack all the Ibo ministers in his government.
People like Okonji-Iweala and Oduah are the reason people do not like his government.
If they look at Jonathan government, they see Ibo faces.
You see how the pressure on him reduced when he dropped the Ibo chief of army staff?
Now even though are soldiers are dieing like flies, nobody knows the new chief of army.
Nobody calls his name.
Once we know he is not Ibo, no problem. Even if everything dabaru, once it is not Ibo man there, we are ok.
No complain.
It is a good move to remove the Ibo from the army.
If you remove Okonji-Iwealla and put Tinubu as Minister of finance, he has won 57% of the votes (Ibos are less than 10% of Nigerian population}.
Then remove Ayim and put either Olu Falae or Ribadu or Musiwa, that is 70% of the votes.
We will vote you president for life if you just do as i say.

komekn: Don't agree with you, the assumption that there is general support for Boko is not true, there are supporters but is not the larger populace and or Northern elite, admittedly there are disgruntled self seeking elements within the North supporting Boko but they are a small minority.

The problem is we do not have the infrastructural military capacity to deal with situation, THE MILITARY LACKS CAPACITY Conflict is no longer settled by numbers but quality, precision military hardware
So which precision military hardware does BH possess?
Just AA guns and equipment "stolen" from the NA?

I read all kinds of stuff here.
1) First some people say BH has superior weapons.
it is pointed out that BH only has technicals and stolen equipment.
2) They now say the NA has orders not to use their big guns so as to minimize collateral damage
Which officer would take assault rifles to confront HMGs? Who is foolish enough to take a knife to a gun-fight?
Definitely nit the officers and men of the NA. Are they on drugs on something?
3) Others now point to the lack of 24/7 coverage by aerial platforms.
So what? The NA has howitzers and other heavy artillery that could reach you from many miles away.

It is foolish to try to engage BH in infantry maneuvers when you have other less costly options.
The longer this goes on, the more fear-factor the NA loses.
A video of a burnt out convoy of BH technicals would restore that fear factor much better than slitting the throats of opiumed pawns.

India people should not let them into India.
These four doctors may already have eBola.
If they get into India, they will infect billions of people and finish man-kind.

What happens if he dies? We shall raise him from the dead to convene the meeting?

bidexiii: .....that one wey unna get for nigeria naa airforce! Thank God for war sometimes if not we will not be thinking of getting new hardware. An airforce that most of his attack helos crashes due to mechanical faults, an airforce that cannot boast of a fourth generation attack helos. Least 50 ! Airforce that still uses J7 and alpha jets as attack and multirope jets. When the republic of chad can boast of SU29 . Then that means chad can attack nigeria @ anytime and our airforce can't do a damn thing! Corruption btw politicians and our top rednecks. They say by dis month end our airforce is going to take delivery of some new USA and russia helo we r in another month we haven't heard of any and yet gallant men are dying. The state of nigeria armed forces is bad all our equipment and hardwares is nothing to write home about. I wonder when they say nigeria army is d 4th strongest country in africa I think they have to re-do that list ! God bless those brave gallant soldiers !
you do not need airforce to take on boko haram. artillery and armor can take care of them.

These white people are bad.
They can slap you in the face and give you backhand on top and you will not know.
Is this not the man who was raking about roasting people if he does not win election again?
White-man has subtly told him how foolish he was in threatening brimstone and fire
where a civilized man would take his grievances to a temple of justice.
Politics › Re: As Nigerians Sleep, Towns In Borno Fall To Jihadists by tit(f): 4:43am On Aug 12, 2014
nduchucks: I disagree with you on this. Your idea will simply turn the fight against terrorism into a religious war - a very bad idea.
Most Nigerian soldiers do not want to fight Boko Haram.
You read of their wives and children obstructing deployment of soldiers.
Is your own different?
Why do you insist on being in the fight against Boko Haram?
You are being given a leeway to get out of trouble
But you want to be in a fight you do not want.

atlwireles: Just level the whole fucckingplace place. Guess what, there will such an out cry. We have to live with this cosmetic battle we call war.
Give civilians one week to leave the town. All they have to do is trek about 5 miles out of town. (the sick, the old, the infirm).
The Americans did it in Fallujah. gave civilians time to get out and then moved in the devil-dogs. (unfortunately, they went into hand to hand street to street fighting with the (xIraqi army) Sunni militants. i would have shelled every damn single house in fallujah till we have total fire suppression)
Politics › Re: Wives, Children Stop Military Trucks Conveying Soldiers To Fight Boko Haram by tit(f): 7:40pm On Aug 11, 2014
atlwireles: Boko haram is not fight a war, they are veterans of nothing. When we are ready to put down boko haram. We will cut them to pieces in hours. Just no complain of slaughtering northerners., because that what its going to take, to bring peace to the northeast.
I read about General Grant and the US civil war yesterday. The NA has to stay in contact with BH for sustained periods. They can replace their losses. BH cannot do so as rapidly. The losses, sabotage, ambushes and mistakes should be anticipated and planned for. I do not call for wholesale adoption of Grants WW I strategy.
In Sierra Leone, the NA fought against the Sierra Leone Army which defected and joined the rebellion against Tejan kabbah(?). Like Biafran officers, the "Sobels" doctrine was dictated by their conventional training in Sandhurst and Poms(?) etc. This must have made it easy for the NA officers to understand the enemy and deal with them.
Against BH, you are against a doctrine incumbated by the Americans in the mountains of Afghanistan. This has morphed with experience from all over the world: Chad vs Libya, Long Range Desert Patrol, Hezbollah, Aideed, Hamas, ISIL. The NA red-necks better sit down and start taking notes.
Politics › Re: Wives, Children Stop Military Trucks Conveying Soldiers To Fight Boko Haram by tit(f): 7:21pm On Aug 11, 2014
atlwireles: Allow the Nigeria ARMY FIGHT THE SAME BATTLE THEY FOUGHT IN LIBERIA, COME BACK AND TELL US WHAT IS LEFT OF BOKO HARAM AFTER 24 HRS.
Bh is not foolish.
They have battle hardened veterans from the ME. This is the information age. BH is getting info about tactics and strategy from Hezbollah, Hamaz, Al Shabab, etc. They are not just ignorant peasants.
The NA should stop trying to fight ECOMOG in the NE.
They should study our enemy and defeat him.

We can even get some Yorubass from Osun who are expert in mud houses and red roofs to rebuild Damboa.
They will do it cheaper than NA Engineer Corps.
And they like the ewa that grows in Borno.
Politics › Re: Wives, Children Stop Military Trucks Conveying Soldiers To Fight Boko Haram by tit(f): 6:21pm On Aug 11, 2014
1) set up a perimeter around Damboa
Build refugee/detainee center (tent and barbed wire cities) around Damboa
2) drop leaflets asking civilians to leave the town
3) screen civilians and detain any boko haram looking ones
4) pulverize Damboa with artillery (since BH has AA guns)
5) ground troops go in for fire-suppression
(The NA has been using troops to fight BH. Wrong. wrong wrong)
6) NA engineers can rebuild the 1000 - 3000 houses in Damboa in two months
7) Damboa case closed

With Lagos allocation, they have unlimited access to cocaine.
Tinubu mixes heroine with his cocaine that is why his teeth is yellow so.
If to say they are poor, they can only sniff once or twice a week.
And cocaine and heroine will not affect their health so much.
Those who like Tinubu and Fashola should better vote them out of office in 2015.
Let them go and rest.
