Randy or not, my husband wouldn't allow his friend/neighbour/colleague or anybody we know closely to take my delivery. He that always asks me to narrate my experience anytime I go see a doctor, especially a Gynaecologist, that guy sef! He's always content with someone we just met as in 'no existing relationship'.

However, in the scenario you've painted, it would be absurd to say 'No'. But if its not a 'do or die' (apology to OBJ ) affair, we'd have got me a neutral doctor from the onset.

@Kendokorea, are all those stuff obtainable in Nigeria. If so, where? I have a couple of friends/colleagues I'd have to stylishly  ;Drecommend them to. I await your reply.

Thanks Naijaking. Am actually seeing a Gynaecologist at Ayinke House (LASUTH) but I realy don't know if he's specialised in High Risk Pregnancy Management. Think he's quite good though, but will still find out that aspect. Bless u.

I understand the fibroids grow with the same hormones that makes the foetus grow. Is there a risk of both of them growing large enough to affect my internal organs adversely? Am scared Pls reply

@Poster, I'm not a doctor but I have a body temperature similar to yours. My body has always been slightly warmer than other people's since childhood. I remember in my secondary school days when we (the girls) touched ourselves or shook hands my friends usually asked me if I slept with a man overnight because I was usually warm while most of the others were cold. Doctors Ive complained to in the past have always assured me there's no problem with it and that there are some people like that. Since your mum and siblings are also like that I don't think there's anything wrong with you. However, check with your doctor first and hear his/her views. It is well with you.

My GP said he can only 'manage' it and see how far it would go.Does any doctor in the house know what I can do to carry it to term?Or is there an alternative medicine I can use to at least suppress the growth of the fibroid and allow the fetus to grow, they are obviously competing for space and the poor fetus, though the legal occupant, is small against the foe. Somebody should please come to my rescue. It's my first (not really, Ive lost 2 previously) and am NOT very young. Thanks.

@Almondjoy, you're pretty right. I have not stoped and wont stop ringing it into the ears of any young woman I can reach to give it what it takes to marry early. @Poster, guess your new employers are trying to 'do Ijebu'. Usually the employer gives the new employee a letter to the company's designated hospital which already knows the kind of test the company requires to be carried out on the new entrant. Yours is just to submit yourself for the test, what test is going to be carried out and the payment is none of your businesss. The hospital sends the result directly to your employer and you may not know the result of the test conducted on you!!! :oThat is Naija for you o, my brother. However, these days, some doctors may tell you the kind of tests (usually, HIV 1 and 2 tests are a main feature), you may object to this but then the doctor will indicated in the result that you did not submit yourself to such and such type of test (which means, , your guess is as good as mine).

Some of the conditions tested for include HIV 1 & 2, Tuberculousis (through chest xray), a woman's tummy is also scanned (for whatever purpose I don't know), (the thing wey ladies eye dey see self ), they'll press your bobbies testing for lumps , infact your are lucky that you are a man.

It's disappoint though, that you have to pay for these tests. Well, I wish you all the best.

What type of pregnancy test did you do? You may try using blood as sample, think it's more reliable.

Can the experts in the house tell me the best sleeping position a pregnant woman can adopt? I know lying face down is BAD, lying on the side is good (but some people said one side is better than the other, is it true , how about lying face up, on the back? Are there any risks to it? My piece on bank job. I was there for 5 years, the pay was good, the stress worth the pay or vice versa but …the 'long hours' was 'much ado about little' really.

The truth of the matter is, its not all those looooong hours that are spent working. Like I said in my introduction, I'd been in the system and anyone who wants to claim he works really hard from 8am to 8pm should come boldly and say it on this thread. I worked in different branches and departments of my former bank before I left and I saw things. Not only that, I had (still do have) friends in banks and we compare notes. Hectic as the job was made to look, we still had time to play computer games. I think bank management should stop deceiving themselves by equating long hours with hard work.

I had a couple of friends who, after they would have been chased out of the office to go for marketing, would make some calls here and there and then go and spend some hours at home before returning to the office (some of course do their private runs), why?, they must not be seen in the office but when they come back laaaaate, they will be seen as 'working hard'.

The above now makes the ogas themselves, the policy makers to, portray a 'busy' outlook. Some DGMs/AGMs spend their evenings browsing and making personal calls. Ive worked closely with some of them and I know what am saying. My regional head then, would go out for marketing, from there go and do her nails, hair, visit friends and relatives and end at home. She would come back around 7pm (by now you now she is invigorated) and the earliest time she would close was usually 9pm! Managers and officers who wanted to report the day's activities to her would have waited tire, hurriedly she would spend like one hour with them and the other hour she'd call her children in Europe, her friends in America, cousins and nieces in Asia and browse the net for personal purpose. She would intermittently walked around the premises so that she would be seen as working 'hard'. In fairness to her, she was meeting and sometimes surpassing her targets, but it was obvious (to those of us close to her) that it wasn't a result of loooong work hours. She had her strategies which were working well for her but it is not WORKING LATE. What am I saying? Banks should endeavour to power down at 7pm latest. Whatever you have to do must be over with by 7. There may be times when working late be required but it shouldn't be the rule. Remember these guys have to come to work the following morning. A beg, let them have sound health to enjoy the (armed robber) salary they are being paid.
