bringing wives from Naija is, in my opinion, still a good option if done right and there is an element of luck involved here (same applies in any marriage). But Naija men have to also enhance their chances of a successful union when they bring their spouse abroad by being a little smart. Unlike in Naija where we use the fact that we are the 'man' to control the woman, in the west we need to utilise our brain much more. Example: make sure that you both have an investment back home If you have a mortgage in the UK,ensure that it is in your name and someone else (eg brother/sister that u can trust)ensure that the children visit Naija at least once a year ps. u can only do this when the woman is newly in the country. I love my wife but men just get to wise up for oyibo land |

Politics › Re: What Made Nigeria So Populated by titsqueez(m): 11:56am On Dec 17, 2010 |
Thomas Malthus once stated that increased population may be due to the absence of farmine and war including natural disasters. So apart from the civil war one can say that the country has been really blessed. The land is fertile enough to produce food for families especially those in rural areas.
The problem though is that Nigeria with its population is still young. There will undoubtably be more pressure on resources (land) thus causing conflicts. We may have to start looking at population control and Malthus suggests some pretty extreme ways of doing this. |

Business › Re: Ghanaian Authorities Shut Nigerian Shops, Make Arrests by titsqueez(m): 1:41pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
Gbawe: My friend a recourse to pedantism will get you nowhere . I call it levy because it appears as such. It is the value of the start up capital but it is punitive similar to a levy because , even as this is minimum equity capital, it must be transferred through Ghana‘s banking system in cash . It is an indirect levy because of it intrinsic unfairness. We all know 'what up' so lets cut the pretensions. I have given you the Mugabe land grab analogy and this is what is playing out precisely as we speak . If you say you are German and not Ghanaian , then fair enough but you should consider you argue entirely unobjectively as if you are Ghanaian. All what you say about Nigeria is derogatory yet you ignore very, very valid points that are , in the minds of sensible folks , far more of a plausible theory for xenophobia against Nigerians in Ghana than your simplistic and patently myopic theory thattargeted because they are "bad folks and armed robbers".
When you write as you do below , you are easy to ridicule.
In your mind we may "delude" ourselves we are industrious but how many businesses do we run in Ghana that Ghanaians themselves do not even operate in their own Country? Ask the same question about other West African nations too . The fact based answer means that we are easily some of the most industrious group of people in Nigeria even if hate will not allow you to admit that. This is why I say many of you are ignorant. Come to Nigeria and you will see that Nigerians themselves control the many, many restaurant chains available. We now have a strong restaurant chain presence in Ghana , challenging the Lebanese, while Ghanaians themselves have nada !!! Do you want to talk about the banking sector? We are not industrious or innovative yet one Nigerian Bank alone (GT bank) cleared around 9 out of 13 top ranking in your banking sector merit award (go and find out)? Or do you want to deny Adenuga's superb achievement , with Glo, of becoming a major African telecoms player in a field dominated by South Africa and others outside Africa? I can go on but I won't . You are a lost cause with how you can deny what even the basest of hate should enable you to see.
W all know what is responsible for the xenophobia against Nigerians in Ghana even if you will keep denying it. The issues in SA are very different. You want us to believe you are intelligent yet your take on issues are somewhat simplistic. Do you know that Ghana and Nigeria have some of the lowest case of substance/drug abuse in the world? Who will Nigerian drug dealers sell hard drugs to in Ghana? Now tell me what obtains in SA as per drugs/substance and alcohol abuse ? Do the most ruthless criminals of many nations (Italians, Jamaican Yardies, Colombians, Mexican,Russians, etc, ect) not converge in the USA and forment drug mayhem because of the high and profitable domestic consumption?
South Africa is attracting the worst Nigerians . Ghana is not. Simple . The South Africans are not innocent . They have some of the most murderous folks on earth in their rank. Drug and alcohol abuse is rampant . The murder rate there is one of the highest in the World and as per despoil SA is up there amongst the worst culprits like Democratic republic of Congo !!! The market for the sale of drugs in Africa is most profitable in SA. Naturally very bad guys will flock to SA same as , historically , vicious crime syndicates quickly arise in nations where profit is viable.Simple . Certain nations , as per what already obtains , will see influx of hardened criminals because of the filthy lucre on offer to these criminals. You cannot at all use the Nigerian criminals in SA to justify South African's hatred of Nigerians . South Africans still murder and despoil their own folks the most. They should look at their own drug use and vices that attract the most dangerous Nigerians to their nation. Of course in an ideal world good Nigerians would hope that some Nigerians do not give us a bad image in SA but if demand is high , for certain thing criminals can supply, then one can expect criminals to follow the money. That s the reality. It is the same in most industrialised Nation of the World.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Violence-and-Drug-Abuse-in-South-Africa&id=244488 my guy u have said it all. Abeg allow those Koffis and Achampongs to continue to wallow in self delusion. Very soon we will start selling Ghana must go bags in Ghana and call it "Ghna must go" |

seems to me that the poster and Oyewolejos are thesame.
fact of the matter is he broke the law and he is being handled accordingly, overstaying five years or seven years is still over staying. I know someone who overstayed one year and is in Naija right now. so forget that side. I hope when tendering your defense you are not concentrating on these "smaller details" else you will surely be on that big bird with a big white man by ur side in case you want to start making noise about human rights.
You dey for detention centre and u even get access to internet, instead of using it to ask how people can help you present your case well in front of the the judge you dey come rant. |
