A man in Imo state has been arrested for stabbing his neighbor to death for selling him a phone with a faulty battery. Facebook user, Blossom Emechebe shared the sad story. She wrote

"Why will you take a life you did not create? Why will a human being have the heart to kill another human being? Maka why? Smh....... this happened at Ibe street Orji at imo state around 3:15pm yesterday afternoon. A guy killed his neighbour just because he sold an itel phone for him and the itel phone has battery problems and he stabled him on his chest, the guy died, the guy died instantly just because of common phone battery. May God have mercy. the guy that stabled the deceased ran away but was later apprehended by the street guys who beat him up and handed him over to the police..! What a life! RIP".

The Nigeria Army's "Operation Crocodile Smile" launched over the weekend has started full operations in the Niger Delta region. Armored tanks of the Army are pictured above on some streets in Delta state. The Army says part of the aims of the new operation is to provide adequate security for residents in the region as well as critical national economic assets in the region.

Enugu state commissioner of police, Emmanuel Ojukwu has urged members of the Ndiagu Attakwu community of Akegbe ugwu in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state to be calm just as he sympathized with family of the victims as well as the entire community over the attack by suspected herdsmen in the early hours of yesterday Thursday, August 25th which at least 3 persons dead and four others critically injured.


The commissioner of police made the appeal when he visited the family and the community to have on the spot assessment of the incident and to commiserate with the family and the community and urging them not to panic as the state command in partnership with the relevant stake holders and the state Government have stepped into the incident.

For the past 6 days, a dying man has been spotted abandoned and unattended to at the dustbin ground by the fence of the Yaba College of Technology. He laid by the refuse heap for a few days and eventually rolled into the gutter.

According to the an Eyewitness who sent in the photos, urgent help is needed to prevent him from eventually dying and decomposing. This is a call for the intervention of the appropriate authorities in Lagos state.

Police have arrested a notorious kidnap for ransom gang that has been linked to kidnapping and violent crimes along Kaduna-Abuja and its environs.

The kidnappers; Haruna Adamu ‘M’ 25 yrs Gang Leader, Shaibu Adamu ‘M’ 18 yrs and Abubakar Saidu”M’ 30 yrs, were arrested after coordinated and painstaking investigation by the Intelligence Response Team(IRT) of the IG of Police' monitoring unit.

A shocking incident took place yesterday in the Jibowu area of Lagos state as a group of angry youths beat a Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, official to a pulp.

The angry youths pounced on the fully kitted officer after accusing him of causing an accident in the area.

Although the details of the accident were not clearly stated as at press time, he was said to have escaped after he allegedly caused the accident while trying to flag down a motorist.

Residents gave him a hot chase and eventually caught up with him.

A woman named Mojisola Jaqueen Ajenifuja has allegedly inflicted deep cut on her 15 year old son, Abdulgafar Ajenifuja's head, following his refusal to wash plates. The boy was said to have fled their Ikorodu, Lagos residence, after the incident, appealing to the public to save him and his siblings from their mother who he termed 'violent'.

According to Twitter user, @Arican88, who spoke to the boy, the woman used her high- heeled shoe to inflict a deep cut on his head on Friday and the boy revealed that it's the same situation his siblings have found themselves in. See the graphic photo after the cut...

Chiemela Ihemanma and his wife had gone to Aba from Umuahia to shop for for maternity stuff. The wife was heavy with a child. She was due in a few months.

Shopping over, they stood at the express way to take a bus back to Umuahia. Then they saw a friend driving from PH and joined them to Umuahia. On the way, a terrible accident happened.

All three of them died instantly. Crushed to death. The friend who was driving, Chiemela and his pregnant wife.

They left three little kids behind. How is one supposed to explain this?
