EducationPhoto: A Public Primary School In Bauchi State by tiwaz(op): 9:48pm On Oct 23, 2015
Outside of Bauchi, Nigeria, second graders in the public Kuletu primary school have no desks, chairs, or books. Their classroom has no windows, and its walls are crumbling. The blackboard is so old, chalk disappears into stains that look like recently dripped wax. This is not a case of poverty. Nigeria's education budget is $1.97 trillion.

Many private schools are modern. But schools run by the government, especially in rural areas, are neglected by politicians accused of pocketing money designated for educating the the country's youth.

PoliticsFemale Bankers Fight Over Rich Businessman [photos] by tiwaz(op): 9:09am On Oct 23, 2015
These female bankers turn their banking hall into a boxing arena as they fought each other over a rich business man.

Apparently, one of the lady’s working at the Bank mistakenly took the phone number of the business man who was already dating another lady at the same bank. The sad part is that, the business man is already married with kids and so I wonder why these two ladies are fighting over him.

The fighting started when one of them decided to confront her colleague about why she took the number of the businessman. They even didn’t care about the fact that they were in the premises of a Bank. The two Female Bankers fought as if they were on the street.

Politics[photos] Troops Reopens School In Gwoza, Arrest Fleeing Boko Haram Members by tiwaz(op): 10:29pm On Sep 18, 2015
Press statement from the Military

To further assist returnees and other Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with education of their children, the Nigerian military has reopened a mixed Primary School in Gwoza, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State yesterday. The military in conjunction with other security agencies and other security stakeholders have placed adequate security measures to ensure the pupils and teachers’ safety and security. Already classes have commenced and the turn out was quite impressive.

The reopening of the combined Primary School in Gwoza is significant as the eradication of western education is part of the aims of Boko Haram in their murderous campaign of terror. Gradual restoration of normalcy by troops is therefore indicative of the continuous elimination of the terrorists from Nigerian territory. Similarly, the troops have also dislodged Boko Hararm terrorists from Dissa and Balazala villages located in the same Gwoza Local Government Area yesterday during which they rescued 23 men, 33 women and 34 children from the terrorists.

In a related development, troops advancing from Bama have also intercepted quite a number of Boko Haram terrorists fleeing from Dara Jamel near Banki the battle zone disguised as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The intercepted persons are being screened by troops of 21 Brigade for more information and confirmation of their true identity. Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations

PoliticsScientist Who Hasn’t Taken His Bath In 12 Years & Instead Uses His Own Invention by tiwaz(op): 5:51pm On Sep 17, 2015
Co-founder of AOBiome, says he hasn't showered in 12 years and hopes others will catch on. Chemical engineer Dave Whitlock told the Boston Globe there is no scientific basis proving showers to be the basis of healthy human hygiene. "No one did clinical trials on people taking showers every day," he said. According to him, showers and other products like shampoo strip good bacteria from human skin.

Instead of showering, Whitlock uses a spray of his own invention -- Mother Dirt AO+ Mist -- to keep his skin healthy and clean. As of this year, the spray is available for purchase by the public.

The AO+ Mist contains friendly ammonia-oxidizing bacteria, or AOB, which acts as skin cleansers to clean sweat and oil on the skin. So Whitlock is hoping some people will join him on this.
