Nice one Mojo!

Don't mind dt boi Cougar!

A big game is determined on current form. Forest and UTD isn't a big game, a big game is UTD and City cos of the strength of the clubs playing at that particular point in time

Note: I'm not discussing which club is a big club or not! Citey on current form are title contenders and the quality of the players and the resources they have has shown they can win anytime soon

I'm not gonna enter the big club argument cos its vague and doesn't make sense

Ask Messi today and he'll tell u playing Chelsea will be a huge game but by the definations I'm reading, chelsea aint a big club!

Big club or not, games involving teams with no pedigree but with quality players will be a big game if they are as good as the team with pedigree!

Nuff said!

Was Enyimba a club with Pedigree b4 they won champions league?

Did Wolfsburg not win Bundesliga? My point again is a good team win titles, not a team with pedigree

Verdict: City can win and challenge for titles; any game involving city and the traditional big clubs is a big game!

It makes sense!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Champions League Round 16 Fixtures by tkb417(m): 5:35pm On Dec 19, 2010
Arsenal vs Barca: with the way those Barca boiz are playing, its gonna be VERY DIFFICULT for Arsenal to win. I give it to Barca over 2 legs

Spurs vs Milan: Spurs have no history but I think their forward play will give Milan a lot of trouble. Other way round also, Zlatan, Pato and Robinho will make a mincemeat of those caricatures at the back of Spurs. Game is 50:50 but I expect Milan to scale through cos of experience and moreso they are in form

Marseille vs UTD: its gonna be close, cagey and tactical. Just like Sir Alex would like it. Its not gonna be a high scoring duel but United have got all in their armoury to deal Marseille a fatal blow. All the way United!

Lyon vs Real Madrid: the Madrid of today is not the same that has been losing to Lyon. I expect a total annihilation of Lyon over 2 legs. Home and away wins for Madrid

Copenhagen vs Chelsea: we saw how Copengahen held Barca on their turf with their compact play. Chelseas sloppiness would have come to and end in February. This is a No Contest scenerio for Chelsea with the array of talents in their disposal: Chelsea all the way

Inter vs Bayern: repeat of last seasons final. Both teams have been shabby and far from been fantastic this season. This round of matches will be in February and if both teams are back in form with all players available, it should be a 50:50 scenerio. I expect Bayern to scale through this season tho cos our man Benitez has shown he's a doofus with the way he's been handling Inter

Other fixtures tho I expect schalke to scale through if their present form is maintained!

Still on this big game ish? *smh*

@Cougar
A big game is match when 2 closely matched teams are playing.

UTD and City is a big game cos of d derby thing and the pedigree of the players on d field. Moreso when both teams are challenging for the title.

@starboard
I didn't know a team that hasn't won the title in the past cannot be termed title contenders

First time I'm hearing that. Unbelievably its coming from you.

Believe what you believe, Citey are in the league to win it. Past achievements don't count, the strength of the team today is what matters!

Wolfsburg from nowhere won the Bundesliga cos they had exciting players, same with FC Twente; should I mention Blackburn had no winning credentials when they won in the year they did apart from the fact that they had a good team

CVs don't win trophies, its the quality of the team in question that does. Ruling out Citey cos they haven't won b4 means Enyimba shdnt have won african champions league and 9ja league cos in the history of 9ja and african football, they were nothn b4 they won d first time.

Enyimba won cos they had money to attract talents and they did

Oga, u sabi ur footie, I sabi mine too.

*sigh*
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 4:06pm On Dec 19, 2010
Of course why do u think we are valued 1.5billion

A debt free UTD with unlimited arabian money with Sir Aley Ferguson in charge can only mean one thing

Trophies unlimited!

All I want is trophies mehn!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 2:37pm On Dec 17, 2010
Cougar
Nothing technical in this. A big game is a big game irrespective of the geographical placements of the teams. In this present EPL, Man Citey are a big team and any fixture between Citey and the other top teams would be a big game.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 2:08pm On Dec 17, 2010
I'm happy with the draw. Marseille cannot beat UTD over 2 legs or else I chop shyte again

@eastbay
Stop getting sentimental! Ur coach has said Citey are d new super power in d EPL and other footie pundits. Ok if you don't believe them, a big game is a game where the outcome of the match is difficult to for tell. I'm not saying there are games you can easily predict but I'm sure u understand what I'm saying. If you hit the bookies and check the odds between UTD and City u'll understand why its called a big game. Same for arsenal and Citey

A city vs arsenal tie would probably be a match of d week if the other top sides aren't squaring with each other. A big game is known from the calibre of players on parade on d given day not the history heck we say Forest vs UTD is a big game

Its the intensity, the hype, the din/noise that go with such games that qualifies the game to be tagged a big game

City have good players, they have a good manager and they are very competitive

The table doesn't lie!

Nothing too difficult for God to do!

If God wants it, expect Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Villa and Puyol to be injured at the same time!

Pray!

Hehehe
Is it everythn we argue on this thread?

But wait oh, City are the new super power in the EPL not because they have won in d past but cos of their present status and the calibre of players they have.

Manchester City as at today are title contenders are any game involving them and the perennial top teams in d EPL would be considered a big game.

That's what I think oh
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 3:22pm On Dec 15, 2010

UTD are all hype- true

Hype is not losing a game so far

The hyped team has conceded fewer goals

The hyped team has scored more goals

The hyped team is ahead with 3pts and a game in hand

If UTD=hype, then Chelsea=poo!

Sunday cometh soon!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 7:14am On Dec 15, 2010
So are we dropping Berbatov to d bench against Chelsea again?

Can we just try to beat dem and be ahead with 6 points? Cos I know both of dem would play draw when they meet afterwards!

A win for us would guarantee about 10-11 potential point gap if they don't beat arsenal (added 3 pts from d game against Blackpool)

We must win that game
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by tkb417(m): 7:11am On Dec 15, 2010
Good clear debate by Debo and 40

But I won't read meanings into that loss. A loss for UTD would have been a loss too many for us cos the confidence level for ur team would have soared to a very high level while ours would suffer a setback

Looking @ the game, I think Arsenals overall play was poor, the team created lil chances, passes in d final third were woeful and maybe the pitch added to d mvts of people and d ball-dunno

Nonetheless, the title is still up for grabs for everyone including citey but a loss for Arsenal and a win for UTD against Chelsea would paint a very different picture.

So ur prayer point is clear

You shouldn't lose to Chelsea if UTD beat them
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans Thread : Winners of the FA Cup And League Winners 09/10 by tkb417(m): 7:01am On Dec 15, 2010
They don't want Howard Webb, we don't want that REF that officiated Chelsea Vs Spurs too!

Mehn, Anderson is the baddest baller now, boi is playin wonderful football. I have to say big ups to d partnership of Vida and Rio, the best partnership in europe I can swear down! Good defending from d duo and my homeboi Raphael, the boi that fears no one is improving day in day out

Give us Chelsea abeg!

Yeah, goals and assists are not same but both go hand in hand

Xavi or Iniesta would win the Ballon'dor ahead of Messi. Did they score as many goals as Messi?

Hahahaha
U can do better than this

If in doubt, check ur fantasy league for clarifications. Lol

Nani shytes on anybody presently.
