a stable club do not necesarily have to buy when nobody is leaving. You can even decide not to buy when ure offloading rejects!
Chelsea (with nobody departing) have done well by adding Zhirkov to thier team and not forgetting the fact that they have Sheva back into their fold.

UTd on the other hand lost a great player in Ronaldo and have done well by adding Valencia and Owen.

As far as im concerned, Citey have only been able to get the backpages of newspapers. Nothin is on ground to show they have a better first xI or a good bench to topple the regular 4.

Buying like its going out of fashion just like Madrid isnt a recipe for success. As far as im concerned, Chelsea and Pool are already favourites to win this years UCL with their current team so why add unnecessarily.

If Wenger does this, it would be a very poor decision, EXCEPT a very good CB a la Hangeland is certain to come in. Without that we will be significantly weaker with Kolo's departure.
