My friend, will you stop boring everyone with your half-baked finance ideas. . . . Utds debt grew only because their repayments track slightly above the LIBOR rate which was growing in 2008. . . . and its been dropping since the credit crunch eased so interest payments shouldnt be so severe next year. . . . this is a usual arrangement for an LBO of this size. . . now enough of predicting impending doom for EPL clubs. . . too much nyafu nyafu talk for here. . . . I want hear football jare. ![]() Biina and his financial skills i dont know what he reads |

Biina. Bin madly busy to respond to u o but lets do a quick one As at today, the situation is still quite salvageable, but given the current direction, three seasons without trophies and it could spell the end for the club. Add to it the fact that SAF will retire soon and things could get really bad, really quickly. This is a faulty assumption. Three seasons without a trophy and UTD will be in ruin? ![]() Its a joke innt? UTD will not be in ruins if they go trophyless for some seasons cos the brand appeal and all tht have made UTD a darling club wouldnt necessarly be eroded cos of some dull moments However, UTD cannot go three seasons without a major trophy impossible The general idea is simple, you service the loans as much as you can, while recouping their initial investment and getting some profit along with it. But since their priority is to make money, they are willing to let the club take on more debt just to ensure that they get their money out of the system. Evidence of this is that despite high income levels to the club (from success on the pitch), the debt levels are increasing. The worst of the debt is likely the PIK loans which is not serviced at all but rolled over into equity in the club. As at june 2008 the loan was at £699 (25% increase from the initial debt and an increase of £33 million after the refinancing). The required interest payments are more staggering £68.8 million. All this after record incomes from winning the UCL and premiership resulting in £66 million operating profit for that year.frst off, ur accountng of UTDs proceeds from the recent victories could be faulty. When is the year end of UTD? the monetary gains ure talking about came about in may, just some 2 months ago. its very possible, the proceeds from the UCl and co are not accounted for yet in the report u saw also, forget the cashflows involved in the repayment schedule, m very sure the repayment plans are hinged on some bankable/liquid receivables from UTD. Proceeds from gate takings, sales of players, endorsements, tv rights, monetary gains from tourneys (variable) et al are good enuff to service the loans ure talking about. Any of these can be used as a major repayment tool conveniently for donkey years This is not totally bad, if the club is successful on the pitch, but we all know that football success is cyclic. ManU will likely be in a lull for the next few years and their income, particularly UCL will drop considerably (doubt they will be playing in the UCL finals in the next few years). The Glazers might slow down but will likely not change their plans, and thus manU will continue to taken on increasing debts. At the point that they cannot get more out of united, they will cut their losses and leave.are you a prophet? 3 epl titles in a trot, 2 ucl finals in a trot and suddenly UTD will start falling like a pack of cards? if these are the kind of assumptions you use for ur models, ol boi, den go sack u soon ![]() As to that banks would keep giving out loans, that is a point in time question. The banks will give them loans if they think that the loans will be serviceable, and that is not difficult given that someone will usually get a huge bonus from such deals. But the problem stems from the unserviced loans which are spiraling and not from a new loan. If the current debt levels become too high, no bank will grant them a loan.show me a credible link that talks about the unserviceable part As to an Arab buyout, I doubt it will ever happen to manU or any of the big clubs. Such is reserved for medium clubs like Chelsea, Villa, Everton, Man City and co. Otherwise, where were the money bags when ManU was on the open market or wasn't manU available before Roman went after chelsea? The likes of ManU are too big to be acquired as toys. rather its cheaper to buy and turn around the medium clubs which usually costs less than £200 million ![]() The Glazers bought Manchester UTD!!! so what are you sayng? they bought UTD from the open market If the Glazer ever do decide to leave, it would be because ManU is no longer a profitable venture, and it will likely spell the end of a great club.just like that? ![]() this is not Leeds not Villa, Manchester UTD is wht we are talking about the biggest football brand in the world ![]() Now, that ur conclusion can only be due to one thing alcohol ![]() |
man. . .i dey FEAR oh!i disagree i dont know of a rich man that will leave his/her money with a debtor for no justifiable reason They are owing and the only permissible means of getting the money is through the law. I dont think GTbank is broke. Not at all |
@tkb417, buying weapons and having the heart to use it are 2 different things. your people dont just have the heart. dont u get that? its a tribe full of cowards!
ok sir!is this a tested hypothesis or a fabrication? assumption or proven facts? siddon there dey look. there are no cowards when its a full scale war. If you read newspapers very well, you must have read about Yorubas killing themselves in osun state (ife/modakeke) for many years if you read history, you'll know about the times of Awo, Akintola and co. If you didnt throw away ur history books, you must have heared about the likes of Lisabi, Timi of ede, latoosa and co ![]() as funny as it sounds, these are backgrounds to when Yorubas have been engaged in wars. I am not advocating for it cos i wont be here when it starts. I am just saying, for all heads who want war to start because they feel the Yorubas will fold their arms, be stupid and not be able to use the weapons, will be cowards and throw their hands up when the war starts, will run from their states to Cotonou because of MEND ![]() You will be shocked at wht will happen. Pray it doesnt happen in ur time or else, your time will be a waste on earth. or maybe ure thinking ull have another life to live? one life to live bros |
Nayani maintains the money won't go towards reducing the club's debt, which remains at an estimated £666m, despite an expected reduction in corporate spending in the current financial climate.Biina Not justifying the above quotes but as a follow up on our debate the other time, as much as the debt stays staggering, it is still within a manageable space. The debt or whatsoever from the look of things will not affect the performance on the pitch and if thts the case, then expect UTD to always be one of the most profitable sporting brands. in that case, Banks will always be willing to refinance the loan/the loan can be conveniently repaid. Just like i told you the other time, there must be clear repayment terms between the sponsor and the banks. ure on ma page now? |
can you people help us appeal to your coach to stop talking about UTD is he a retard? |
hehehehehe when war starts, you guys wont have light to post on the internet be yarning dusts and be calling for war. Those of you who havent travelled abroad na im i pity past, una go dey hear suffer with the agberos wey go dey fight The Jomo Gbomos and co will be abroad enjoying some massage. To even think some believe the Yorubas cannot afford to bring in sophisticated weapons in war makes me think the people here are either born retards or just playing dumb. When war starts, all man for himself, the riches provide money to buy armoury, the capitalists who has interests in the country give money to protect their interests et al He who is calling for a full scale war with OPC shld pray it doesnt happen. lemme give u an idea of what will happen ~No work ~No money ~No school ~No amenities to enjoy what you have is bombs flyin up and down, most of your friends amputated, beloved liening dead in the hospital while the warlords feed large abroad. You can say they wil;l be tried 20 years after at the Hague, but will that bring back your destiny ruined? i no carry 9ja pee and i fit waka in times of war as a foreigner ![]() oya, make war start make we see who go win fools |
Even though I had made that statement earlier, another scenario occurred to me as well. In very rare and certain conditions, there may be a stipulation where the transaction may be based on a 3 day average preceding the date of closing. This you will find in cases such as commodities in terms of final price for the agreement. What this means is that the price at the date of closing will be averaged with the trading price of the 2 previous days. I am not so sure that this is applied in foreign exchange trades though. But then with Nigeria, you never know. This is why i am adding this statement.false. in this case, the quoted exchange rate will be used. It will be moronic for an Oil company to source funds out of Nigeria based on a variable rate of another currency. It will be much cheaper to source the funds from the country who's currency is being used and have your Bank co-sign the agreement. Why will anyone source at 19%-25% when they can get the same for 1.5%-4%? Even speculating rich individuals from the Western World will jump on a deal like that and provide private funds for it. Is this how Nigerian business men do it?MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt wanna say this b4. i actually know of an oil trading coy whos not as big as AP who just got a trading line of $100m from BNP and the interest rate is 2.3% The trading coy plays products tht are hedged by BNP and blah blah blah The point as you stated is why would they source for an expensive line from a local bank? its either the CFO is raving mad, or AP are buncha twats ING, BNP, Standard Bank, et al are doing crazy deals with our traders here so? somebory tell me wht happened ![]() |

). The guy has so much potential and such a high footballing IQ that am disappointed he was in the shadows of CR. I have always suspected that SAF had a soft spot and preference for CR as compared to Rooney, particularly after the world cup incident and his numerous whinning about wanting to leave. I never knew SAF could take that from any player.
ok sir!
