Thank you, na true.

This is why I don't think I would last a month in a job with a Naija firm.

They will call soldiers to come and carry me comot for the premises and put me on a plane back to London say dem don tire.

Na 4 Go-no-come Yaro Yaro go carry me with my leg not touching the floor with me blowing grammar with my Queen's accent that "This is outrageous! You guys are like bats in the belfry! The only objection I can raise to that is . . . Why do you think they will be forced to sell?
The Americans at Liverpool didn't want to sell, in-spite of the fact that they knew Liverpool could have gone into administration a few days after the court judgement. It is all dependent on if the Glazers are willing to sell.
lol

a few bomb blasts and threats to lives would make them sell grin grin

@tkb417

Don't get me wrong, anyone predicting the end of Manure is totally off the point, afterall some prince from Saudi can still come in and make the club debt free anyway. Besides even our much maligned arsenal has not come to an end has it? with the way things are evolving however it seems yu lot might have to make do without silverware for some time. At least that is what I see with the present team you've got when Rooney leaves.
How quickly you're able to reverse things depends on the quality of players brought in. I personally believe they won't be Bebe like signings.
haha

So this option exists and some people are failing to factor it into the equation

i said earlier that if our present problem is the debt; then the problem wont last long knowing fully well that UTD being the biggest sporting franchise in the world would attract other money bags . The Glazers have valued the club at 1.5billion but i know if this present imbroglio goes outta hand, they will be forced to sell and the debt would be erased.

my brother, lets play the waiting game and lets see how this pan out

No matter about worse off in ability the incoming players have been, they have played at points in time played important roles in the last five years.
Are you telling me that if Utd didn't have the cash to splash at the time they did, they would have gone on to win the trophies they did?

What would Utd have won if they didn't splash the cash on players like Rooney, Rio, Hargreaves, Anderson, Nani, Ronaldo to name a few, in the renent history?
ok but we have splashed cash on Valencia, Bebe, Smalling and co now grin grin grin

like seriously, do you think we dont have money at all

are u alright?

If dominance is hard to achieve, profits will dwindle. If profits dwindle, the debt becomes even more crippling which will spend the end.

You don't see these points. You pick out just "ONE" of them . . . Abramovic's supposed "incursion" on football and begin ranting.
Why don't you tackle the other points? You are a nightmare to have a conversation with.
mumu

Debosky already answered your dumb dominance theory

Has Arsenal profits dwindled cos i know Arsenal have been dominated for like 5 years now?

when you answer this, ill know what to say

and also arguing with you is like discussing with a psychic- its usually fruitless

@nateevs,
It's all in the theme of the topic. If you noticed,I didn't quote you.I'm just responding to your position on the list you made.I guess you made reference to "splashing the cash",which would imply replacing departed players. That's why I responded the way I did.
Gbam!

nateevs:
@Starboard.

There's no part of my post that reads "replacements". . . I only said they went out and splashed the cash.
Neither did I ask for a like-for-like replacement for any players. I only asked for players who are as good as Rooney. Not "direct replacements" for Rooney.

These two questions cannot be answered. It is not my insinuation of things happening. It's clear to see.
so tell us players that were as good as Keane, Beckham, Stam that UTD got when these players left
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by tkb417(m): 11:17am On Oct 21, 2010
The are more heavy weights to contend with than ever before. It's no longer the prem Fergie knew.
Anyone who can't see through this should remove their red goggles.
Like said Utd fans, wake up and smell the coffee.
blah blah

UTD have won trophies after Romans 'incursion' into football (Premiership)

UTD have won trophies after the Glazers bought UTD

as far as im concerned, your posits is more like a prophecy than a football commentary

Go get yourself a church and start making money from seeing tmr.

When UTD start failing, come and tell us you warned us. From the look of things, youre still blabbing cos till date, the record says UTD have won 3 EPL titles in 4 years- FACT!

debosky:
@ Dudu

I'll leave Utd fans to debate with you on their goals so far this season. They are scoring sufficient goals at the moment so Rooney's departure is not currently impacting them in that regard. There are no prizes for scoring excessively in the CL, they've done what is necessary and will qualify easily.

Besides, we all know Utd start slowly and start to power up in the new year. . . .judge them then and not now.

@ nateevs

Times are different no doubt, but I'd say Utd fans still have every reason to be confident. Yes Rooney leaving would be a big surprise but Fergie's reaction may just be due to the shock and less to do with how much they'll miss Rooney.

Fergie's ability to reinvent his team time and time again would give any fan confidence. . . .he's done it so many times people take it as a given. Whether or not he can do that in 2010/11 with the constraints you mentioned will be discovered in due course.

In both abeg, had no issues scoring my foot how many goals in the UCL so far after 3 games? United still has one of the best defenses, it is the fact that they are failing up front and in the MF particularly that the back is now looking shaky. Regression is gradual but you can already see the trends if not arrested soon by quality signings
.
The extent you fabricate things to prove points is dangerous

can you remember a season UTD came last in the group stages? how many goals did we score?
if UTD are not scoring in Europe and are scoring at home, what does that tell you?

Leave UTD, Is Rooney scoring for England? what difference would Rooney have made yesterday considering his present failings in front of goal

UTD are struggling but not at the front. and what has Scholes and Giggs issues got to do with Rooney?

Like Debosky said, UTD have been porous at the back and thats the reason we are where we are presently on the table NOT because Rooney hasnt played.

Get your arguments cleaned and stop throwing unverifiable statements up and down.

NOTE: Not a thing u have said about UTD is coming to past, everyone on the globe knows Scholes and Giggs need to be replaced and i dont think u brought that to our notice
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by tkb417(m): 10:54am On Oct 21, 2010
^^^

Nothing to be worried about. Roy Keane walked away from the team and we didnt replace Roy Keane with a Roy Keane kinda player

We didnt get adequate replacements for the want away or sacked players but we are where we are cos of SAF's brilliance and the ability to ensure the right mix in his team structure

the players UTD have bought in 5 years are not the life savers of UTD.

The Players that have made UTD tick are those who rose through the ranks apart from a few ( Rio Ferdinand and Berbatov whom u can argue hasnt dont much for UTD)

If this analogy cannot be played out again, then i doubt you understand how UTD works

I havent said UTD wouldnt struggle but to suggest the demise of the biggest club in the world due to the exit of a certain player is tantamount to blasphemy.  The debt issue is worrisome but its effect on the longetivity of UTDs reign is exagerrated.
The present crop of players (just like the era of Paul Scholes and co were tagged Kids) would gel and do things in 2-3 years. I havent seen a club that wins trohpies year in year out. real, Barca, Bayern and other great clubs have years of drought and they bounce back. UTD hasnt experienced any drought in 5 years and if we are gonna have any drought , then it would be cos players are just coming together and the learning process/cycle hasnt been completed.

Just like SAF said, these crop of youngsters would come good and i know uTD are still capable of buying players in the transfer mkt

i expect either of Torres, Benzema  or Suarez to replace Rooney- I do not see any imminent danger in the structure of the team nor do i see any reason to eb alarmed.

UTD will come good!

He went on to tell a story from 2004 when Rooney joined the club while previous stars such as Roy Keane and Ruud van Nistelrooy were departing.

"A player said to me Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were not good enough and he wasn't prepared to wait," recounted Ferguson.

"That is the problem with potential. People don't identify potential. We are very good at it. I have identified it all my life. I know potential. I know where it can be developed and how to develop it. I have faith in it.

"That is what this club is about. When you see Manchester United at the moment, with 14 players under 22, you don't see the Manchester United for years ahead.

"In terms of the future of Manchester United, there is a lot of things in my favour."
SAF is talking cheesy

lol. has this scenerio happened b4? YES!

have players questioned SAFs recruitment policy?

Did some people say UTD wouldnt win with kids many years ago? (The kids then are the heros now)

hahaha, UTD looks like a club that will be here forever. UTD is the Madrid of England

i dont know about Rooney but i know some of the things ive read here are utter crap

Roy Keane said the same thing Rooney is saying

"Buy quality and flush out these mediocres"

after Roye keane left, how many trophies did we win?

how many marquee signings did we make after he left?

Im beginning to think some cannot reason without medical aid= so u'all shd visit your Doctors as i can see u need help

if the worst is to flush out the Glazers like they did Hillet and his partner, then it will happen in the speed of light

But its hilarious those who have been threatened, beaten to pulp, made look inferior cos of the dominance of UTD want the club dead

hahahaha, after y'all generations unborn, UTD will still be the main team in England

Arsenal- your team is already sliding to oblivion so we dont need to flog u. its only a matter of time b4 we do your wake keeping

Chelsea- grin grin grin what if Roman dies? lmao. lets assume he lives for the next 40 years, what happens after that?
your players will also start requesting for transfers cos your coach wouldnt be able to guarantee marquee signings. hahahaha

our predicament has a solution, and its only a matter of time b4 it gets resolved

fck u all cretins

Kuzchack,
Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra(O'Shea  )
, Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson,
, Obertan, Nani,
, Berbatov,
and this is what SAF and Gill told you our lineup would be?

laffable. I dont think you werent high when you posted this

1) VDS would not be told to go until a replacement is found

2) SAF openly said like a month ago, the possibilities of buying 2/3 marquee signings is about 90% next season cos he feels Scholes and Giggs wont be there

3) I expect Rooney to be replaced by a Rooney-like figure

4) The owners/managers of UTD are not sleeping and its not by accident the team has been competitive b4 you were born and even till after you leave this earth. The team is on auto pilot and your posits on our likely first 11 looks like a beer parlour analysis

5) UTD would spend heavy even if the team would run into a loss for the fiscal year in question

6) Rooneys transfer fees isnt budgeted for and is not gonna be swallowed by any debt. The mechanisms for servicing the debt is CLEAR and i do not see why UTD faithfuls would b worried.
we can only be worried when the clubs cashflow cannot maintain the club. as it is, that cannot happen in our lifetime

@mbulela,
Evertonians felt bad because Rooney was home-grown.I guess it was inevitable he would move given he was such so talented at such a young age.
However why it hurts Manchester United fans is because not long ago he was pledging his love for United.
I agree loyalty in football is a lost virtue, but truth is,Rooney basically kicked United fans in the groin area and trampled on their nuts while they were on the floor. No one asked him to indulge with love-peddlers,the basic reason why his form is so wretched. His off-the-field antics are a nothing short of a disgrace not only to United but to the game in general. What he's done is introduce unwanted turmoil, for whatever reason in United's season, and he should thank his lucky stars he's injured, cus the way he's acted, the fans will make his life miserable. If he attempted to win a war of wills with FErgie, then he's particularly daft.
brilliant!!
