FreedomArmy: are you not the one exhibiting lack of intelligence.they called them unknown gunmen and jumped in and concluded they are igbos. Tell me what an Igbo man will gain from killing a fellow Igbo man? We know our people and we know exactly how we value human life but this happening in the east is not done by Easterners. This is being carried out by the powers that be. This is the type of strange comments I'm talking about....it's strange to you, that people are killing people too, right? |

https://politicsnigeria.com/breaking-unknown-gunmen-kill-two-traditional-rulers-in-imo-photos/ I'm beginning to think apart from money, igbos lack other intelligence and common sense. I have had an igbo boss, an igbo girlfriend and an igbo roommate. All their behaviours seemed very strange to me, except their fellow igbo people. Looking at how things are going in the south east, it still seems strange to me....killing your leaders, professionals and destroying you economy, the comments even igbos come online to make still seems strange to me, the demand to give them presidency, without the tribe coming together to push a candidate too seems very strange.....I swear apart from money, igbo are strange.....even the traditional music doesn't seem to have melody, still very strange.... |

SamuelAnyawu: Kudos to our Gallant Soldiers.
Chabbal is right inside Maiduguri. It’s quite Saddening that ISWAP is now pushing its attention on Maiduguri. Chabbal isn’t up to 2km behind the Airport.
The COAS needs to do something sincerely. This Defense Mechanism will go haywire soon. Imagine having the effrontery to still attack Maiduguri.
Well I swear to God I’m not happy the way we are doing a stalemate with continuous CONGRATULATIONS for an enemy bringing the war to our doorstep.
How can ISWAP attack Artillery and Chabbal in one week right inside Maiduguri Metropolitan City. This spells doom written over it. No be to carry MRAPs and APC full airport be the Koko.
Fucking go and search for these guys Kai. This is why I was grumbling the other day, about us not been able to killing 500 within 2 days, there's a way you will beat your enemy they won't even want to see you.... it happened in Iraq, it happened in Afghanistan, they would loose the resolve to want to make contact. I belong to the school of thought of beating you adversary till they almost dead, if they recover fully, they would fight other people not you, then you can begin non-kinetic approach, but they need to fear you.....2 or 3 times they need to attack, and less than 30 would return, then you will see miracles working in our favour. |

Toju200: looks like I'll have to relay this to my boss in the NE He's an AF pilot there... Many predicted this planned attack on NAF base looks like SFs there will be tripled infact... Also yes 2015 ops was one of the biggest that period Nigerian military Special Forces did extremely well(AFSF,SBS,AirForce Special forces)operation Deep punch Gaahd 707 Special Forces along side AFSF just did wonders
Towards 2016 also until they pulled them out I remembered when they were given some therapy before returning to their families
Op TuratakaiBango Was when I believe if the army are ready to end this war in 1yr it's possible.. I mean I was wondering how it will be possible to clear the Alargarno(Timbuktu Triangle) After several attempts.. Also what the NASF( popularly known as the men in Black) did in Marte after COAS attahiru(RIP) order they rid the area of ISWAP in 48hrs they did it in Less...
Anyways Boss keep us updated on happenings God bless I think we aren't ready to cross a certain line with boko haram, like we are just curtailing them, hoping they would with time fade of. If you have entered certain armoury depots in Nigeria, you would understand why I say so, maybe a major application of our fire power would leave lots of civilians dead, so they chose this way. |

JOSCOFELIX: They is no iswap base without civilian held hostage for cover you don't expect the Nigeria airforce and army to strike those location without putting the cilvilan there into condesiration . Iswap will not watch the Nigeria army killing them without putting defence or fighting back . Do you think killing 500terroist is easy do you think it is action movie or na jack chain you think say dey be. Before any military advance toward any formation they have to make strategic plan. Majority of iswap base are surrounded with landime . Iswap have CCTV camera when you are advancing they will either plan ambush or run. After each airstrike they is always and helicopter mop up. But you saying killing 500terriost in 2 day is impossible in direct contact. Other thing to put in condesiration is the number of terriost that attack before being killied if the number that attack is less you done expect the military to produce miracle and make the causlities high WoeBetide666, warn yourself, if you know what I do for a living, you wouldn't be playing childish mind games with me, this is the second time, I didn't want to call you out the first time. EricBraven: Do you think an all out strategy will work, but first of in what context do you mean an all out An all out offensive is the only way to stop this rubbish, we are like fighting a boxing match with a worthy opponent, they kill us, we kill them, even with air strikes we are killing 20s, over 1 month with all the firepower we have, we only kill 250 bandits. I want dead bodies, the blockade war isn't cutting it.As it stands now, we are in a stalemate and they are matching our punches, when we weigh more , stronger and better trained. |

JOSCOFELIX: even with communication if the vehicle and system is being hijacked they can use it to confuse the solider . Will lost five sf to yesterday attack. Intel report that major attack by iswap may happen before Sunday. Uncle Sam just stay safe. Pls. The co officer of the battlion was shot. My advice to the military as they move troop and equipment this October they should have situation awareness. Dikwa , damsak, kukba marte and damboa should tight there defence perimeter from now. Flash road should be barricade for now. Air surveillance should be more at this period.. new weapon delivery to some military unit with air support. It's for this same rouse that bht is using to attack soldiers, I'm worried about the surrendered terrorists, recently a location was attacked housing surrendered bht. Bht seems to understand that attacking within leading to close quarters battle, would be very disastrous. Those surrendered bht, might just be waiting for the right time to attack from within. |

Drefaithful: My advice for you is to be on a low key, those boys you chawus when they were clowns will come for your head and mind you your former course mate will not even look at your side, give it a thorough thought, wish you all the best.
Let me share this story with you.
Sometimes in the Academy more than 10 years ago, there was a young lecturer who taught cadets but he decided to join via SSC , he eventually got it.
Could you believe that his students almost killed him, to the extent that he couldn't continue, he served job through out the night for 3days consecutively he couldn't sleep for 72 hrs, Baba almost ran mad.
Baba later dash.
The essence of my epistle is that you should know what you want to get your self in. Though having spent 3years in the Academy is sufficient for you to prepare for the worse, but you never can tell what those boys in the Academy are up to.
By and large, I wish you all the best in any decisions you eventually taken. It's called a mad house for a reason...I know best friends that lure their friends to NDA, and almost kill them there.... |

Redemption1: I was a member of 69rc, my coursemates are current 5th termers in the academy, was withdrawn last year when I was hanging 3bars. The problem now is that I applied academy again and I made it(73rc), but I'm supposed to be happy, I'm not happy, I'm sad, I'm depressed, can't get it together, don't really know what's wrong with me, is it normal guys? In the 70s my father was in NDA, the gist was that my grandfather, a retired commissioner of police and a member of the state house of assembly, withdrew my father from NDA, because then been in the military wasn't really fashionable, but when my father's mate in the NDA they are far retired now in the early 2000s , sit down at occasions and throw old boys jives, they say he ran away, I would go with my grandfather withdrawing him . My father later left Nigeria for university education, came back and joined the navy, he was the first accountant in the Nigerian navy, surprisingly, the rank difference between him and his NDA coursemates wasn't that much.... just be focused and learn from your mistakes, this sad past, is a future story you will laugh about.... since my father, now my nephew is in his 3rd year in NDA, and I'm sure the next generation would still serve. |

GreenOris: You mean the title of CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER and the monthly security vote is useless? Oga must of these bandits and kidnappers are just like the cultists down south, there only difference is lack of political will to clamp them down Really, governors really don't wield much powers, I would suggest they at least give governors a bit more power in utilising or controlling police and civil defence within certain scenarios, but if it escalates beyond a threshold they revert back to the control of their various federal headquarters. Most governors can't even order their commissioner of police, unless they build a certain rapport or he has a wike type of personality. Basically all a governor is now to security agencies is source of money and equipments, and this is why insecurity gets out of hand in the country. |

Hoverbird: These are the issues Some of these soldiers can be overzealous.... one of them has slapped a friend of mine before in calabar, soldier slap officer....though he was in mufti and not in the army, when e gave me the gist I just laughed, because I know this particular officer to be stubborn, but he couldn't do anything other than to report the incident to the army, they were now begging him not to escalate the issue, that they would handle it in house. Me I was teasing him, when people dey go NDA you choose university.... when you would have sharperly called your course mate in the army, and start to ty job to the soldier. Sadly these things happen, even in the military, I have seen a sentry cocked his rifle at man at the gate, with wife and kids in the car, and demanding to see the man's ID card, the man was just sparking at the long run he tendered his id card. Even myself I have had my own encounter, a certain part of festac town was blocked off, with military checkpoint set up, which I wasn't aware of, I was speeding only to see tyres ....next thing 2 soldiers flanked me, I just ignored the private that was raising his voice and call the lance corporal by his rank, and asked him how is the job going and if they are seeing peace, the both of them calmed down immediately and explained the check point to me, I apologised and follow another route. |

TMKsouth: Eastern Cape councillors in hot water
Political leaders in the Enoch Mgijima Municipality (councillors) who oversaw the construction and unveiling of the controversial 15 million rands (368 million naira) Lessyton Sports Field in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, are in hot water.
The provincial Cooperative Governance minister, Xolile Nqatha, gave them 48 hours to tell him why they should not be suspended for reportedly wasting taxpayers' money and bringing the ruling ANC party into disrepute.
He was speaking at the sport field during an oversight visit on Thursday.
This after pictures of the under-resourced sports field, which circulated on social media this week, caused an uproar.
Scores of people questioned its hefty price tag.
The sports field has no working ablution facilities and electricity, while its grass athletic track is marked with fading white paint. It also has removable roofless metal stands for spectators.
Nqatha said the fate of councillors depended on the report he was expecting from the municipality's speaker, Bongiwe Gladness van Heerden.
"Therefore, the speaker, who is responsible for [the] code and conduct of councillors, must give me a report as to what she is doing to ensure that those councillors are held accountable.
"For that, I am giving her 48 hours to give me the report showing what steps she is taking to hold those councillors responsible for bringing the institution into disrepute."
Speaking in the presence of the municipality's leadership, Nqatha said: "I am not a technical expert, but what I have seen and what I have read, there is no value for money here. There's got to be accountability as to whether due processes were followed in appointing the service provider and what really happened."
Meanwhile, the ANC's provincial executive committee (PEC) said if the investigation found any wrongdoing, the provincial government would act and deal decisively with corruption, mismanagement and the waste of public resources to make sure public money was spent on the services needed. Maybe nah the land cost, real estate value of the location is high and expensive. |
