Mum ‘roasted’ online for filming herself cutting her daughter’s hair as punishment

An American lady is under fire online for filming herself cutting the hair of her daughter as punishment for disobeying her.

The daughter had apparently neglected to do her homework and some routine house chores that her mother asked her to do.

The mother then set up her phone camera, got hold of a pair of scissors and called her teenage daughter to announce that she would cut her hair for her disobedience.

She told her she would not give her physical punishment, but would cut her hair to make her understand that being pretty does not mean anything if she is not disciplined.


The clip shows shock on the face of the girl and she initially tries to resist but succumbs when she realizes her mother is determined.

Apparently fearing online backlash, the mother filmed herself in a session after cutting the daughter’s hair.

She asks her daughter a series of questions, among which is, “Do you understand why I did what I did? Are you traumatized by my action? Have you learnt anything from this incident? Do you believe I did this because I love you?”

The daughter answers all the question favourably, denying being traumatized and affirming that she has learnt her lessons among other things.

The mother uploaded the clip and it went viral. It gathered over 2.5 million views on @_breakingnews_ platform on Tiktok.

Incidentally, the clip attracted overwhelming negative comments from viewers. There was no positive comments in the first 20 comments reviewed.

The first person to comment rubbished the attempt by the mother to make light of the situation by asking the daughter some questions at the end of the punishment.

The commenter wrote: “She’s agreeing with her mom because she’s afraid of her!! You can see it in her eyes!!”

Fact-checking: Trending video of Nigerian man who dumped his wife while returning from church wedding is fake

A video portraying a Nigerian man purportedly dumping his wife while on their way back from church after their wedding was staged.

The video shows a woman in a wedding gown crying on the ground, while some men are seen talking to the supposed groom.

However, Microsecondnews’ checks revealed that the video was originally uploaded on Tiktok on Sunday with information that the incident happened on Saturday.

No details were provided about the church or the location of the incident.

A probe of the profile of the original poster (OP) on Tiktok revealed that he was the same person as the best man of the ‘groom’ in the video. He was wearing a blue suit in the clip.

However, listening to the voice in the clip, the impression was given that the video was recorded by a bystander who chanced upon the situation and recorded it.

The query then is how did the best man, who can be seen arguing with the groom in the clip film the scene at the same time?

It’s improbable for a best man of the celebrant to be the first to broadcast this embarrassing incident if indeed it was true.

In the comment section, the OP admitted he was indeed the best man, but when asked for an update, he had none to give, claiming he still did not understand what happened.

That raised another question about how probable it would be for a so-called best man not to have an update about such an embarrassing situation regarding his friend to whom he was the best man after more than 24 hours of the incident.

Also, a link on his profile leads back to his Instagram profile, where it appeared all fell into place.

On his IG page, he introduced himself as an actor and content creator, providing a strong fillip to the thinking that it was all a skit for clout.

A male staff of America’s fast food giant, Mcdonald’s is trending for a funny reason.

The unnamed male staff had tried to separate two of his colleagues who were viciously fighting each other inside one of McDonald’s outlets.

Many of the co-workers abandoned what they were doing to separate the fight which turned vicious at some point, as one mounted the other and was pounding her head.

One of the coworkers is a man who is now being trolled.

The full fight was captured on camera by a customer who then uploaded it on the internet.

Some Twitter users zoomed in on a frame where the male staff appeared to be grabbing the boobs of one of the two ladies fighting while pulling her off the other lady.

Moment armed robbers invaded church in South Africa while pastor was preaching (video)

Suspected armed robbers invaded a Seventh-Day Adventist church in Johannesburg, South Africa while the pastor was preaching.

The incident took place at the church located two streets from Noord Taxi Rank on Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2022.

According to Harare Live, the six gunmen disguised themselves as visitors and, as the service began, they drew their weapons and ordered the pastor and the entire congregation to sit down.

The visibly shaken pastor complied with the robbers while the church camera captured the incident.

The robbers were said to have carted away phones, wallets, and tithe money.

Stubborn truck driver nearly kills LASTMA official in Lagos

A video has shown the moment an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) fell off a fast-moving truck on the highway.

The video, uploaded with no information, shows the official hanging by the passenger side of the truck, apparently in a bid to impound the vehicle.

The driver of the truck refuses to stop. A towing truck apparently summoned by the LASTMA official to tow the truck can be seen trying to block the truck from speeding away.

The truck driver continues to push ahead and the towing truck gives way when it appears the driver is determined to crash into him rather than stop.

The LASTMA official hanging by the door is then left on his own as the truck speeds away, as he hangs on for dear life.

In the end, the official jumps down and rolls on the tarmac, narrowly missing being squashed by the rear tyre of the truck.

Interestingly, he had no sympathy from the road user who recorded the incident from his car. The road user can be heard saying that it served the official right. He added that he would even provide cover for the runaway truck by driving his car directly behind it to prevent the LASTMA team from capturing his registration number.

Event happened in Kenya. The man is Ugandan. The person who reported it on Twitter initially said the man was from Kiambu in Kenya. But he returned to the same platform to correct himself that the man is actually from Uganda, but that he was initially misled into believing he was Kenyan.

Many Kenyans have criticized the stripping of the man, calling it unprofessional and a breach of his rights.

Voices can be heard telling the accused that she is a bad friend for plunging her friend into a depression during which she could have killed herself out of shame after her nude video was exposed to the world.
