Police should be called to order but mob attacks at police stations won’t solve the problem.

Oko police station was 100% community effort. No assistance from the federal, state or local government.
Land was donated by the community and building financed 100% by the community. This was at the height of kidnapping that was ravaging Anambra state and Aguata/Orumba local governments at the time.

Why burn it down? Why not sack the police from there? The building could be utilised for something else.

I just created this account, so I can hear you guys views and opinion on what am about to say. Now this isn't some fiction or made up stuff, I am being 100% real here. And please don't mind my errors.

I stay with my Elder brother on the mainland who lives in a two bedroom apartment, I have been with him since June this year and I am 23 years old. We occupy one of the flats on the ground floor, while this my said neighbour, his wife and two kids occupies the one on the second floor. I work as a casual staff on the island with an IT firm, I do come back late in the night due to Lagos traffic wahala, so I don't even know most of the people staying around. Now fast forward to 3 weeks ago, I got sick and was down with typhoid, a nurse came around to administer drips on me and I took medications. Since last week I have fully recovered, but my Elder bro told me to relax for now, that he will work out something for me. These days that I have been around, I do see my neighbor wife and we greet ourselves( I must say she's dark, pretty and must be in her early 30s). Just few days back she added me on Facebook, am still surprised how she got my FB username. She chatted me up and we started talking. She said, she just wanna be friends with me. I said no problem. But the thing is, yesterday she said she is crushing on me on FB and don't mind we having intimate relationship. I told her it won't be possible since she's married and besides her husband is a good friend with my Elder bro. Now this morning, while I was alone at home she brought food for me, I don't want her to feel bad, so I took it. Now she's acting so nice around me and I don't want my Elder bro to feel anything. My wife that stay with me at home,thou I have not pay bride price yet, planning doing it next year by God grace just open up to me today that our neighbor who stay in the same compound approach her when she went out to brush her teeth started telling her that he will like to befriend her and that he heard when we were quarrelling at home ,that I'm not supposed to santion her for whatever reason, that he love her and see her in his dream that he will like to friend her.

So she told him that he has someone already which he knew and she told him that if he didn't stop he will tell me, he now beg her not to let me be aware of it.

This incidence happened about a month ago, so I was surprised when she open up to me today.
I was not happy at all. I need to take an action before it's out of hand.

About nineteen persons have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Ogu and Tegina communities in Rafi local government area of Niger State.

Ogu is a settlement close to Wayam about two kilometres away from Kagara, headquarters of Rafi local government.

A source from Rafi Local Government who did not want his identity revealed confirmed the incident on Monday.

He however could not give many details on the attacks and had to place telephone call to a resident in the affected community for more information.

A source identified as Kamal Mamman Wayam from Ogu community, said the gunmen stormed Ogu on Sunday morning and started shooting into the air.

According to Wayam, “The gunmen in their large numbers arrived Ogu on motorcycles. Before we knew what was happening, they started shooting into the air.

“They ransacked peoples’ houses, and whatever valuable they could lay their hands on, they carted away. They also abducted six persons from Ogu. Four of the persons abducted were members of one day, while the other two were visitors to the community.”

The attack on Tegina was said to have happened at about 12:30 midnight of Monday.

A resident of the community, Sani Gamachindo whose phone conversation with our source was recorded said thirteen persons were abducted.

“The gunmen entered the room of my daughter that night. But, she hid herself under the bed, while her husband went up the ceiling. When the gunmen entered their room, they spent like thirty minutes and ate almost all the food in the kitchen. Thank God, they were not abducted. But, thirteen persons were kidnapped,” Gamachindo explained.

The latest attacks in Rafi local government came barely four days after gunmen abducted a youth leader of the All Progressives Congress, the District Head of Gunna and two children of two health workers in Garin Gabbas and Yakila communities in the same local government.

Last week Friday, the bandits had also blocked the major road between Zungeru and Tegina for hours, shooting sporadically and causing gridlock.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer to the Niger State Police Command, ASP Wasiu Abiodun said he would get back to our reporter on the matter, but was yet to do so as at the time of filing the report.

Meanwhile, a Pastor with the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, has been killed by gunmen in Chukuba, Shiroro local government area of the state.

The clergyman identified as Pastor Jeremiah Ibrahim, was serving with ECWA Gospel Kubwa, Kuta in Shiroro local government.

According to a senior official of ECWA Goodnews Church Minna who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, said Pastor Ibrahim had gone to check his farm in Chukuba and decided to visit a colleague who was the Resident Pastor of Chukuba when he was attacked and killed.

“It’s quite unfortunate, because the assassination of Pastor Jeremiah Ibrahim is coming barely two weeks after six of our missionaries alongside wife to one of them were abducted,” he added.

He said, the deceased had been buried.
