Sports › Re: Dele Alampasu, The Nigerian Under-17 Golden Keeper Was A Pure-water Seller by Tolexander:
The Nigerian born Keeper of
Togolese decent (Parents are
said to be immigrants from
Togo
according to a reliable
source) was a young lad who
sells pure-water around Ogba
area in Lagos. According to
our source, Dele lived the life
of every struggling Nigerian
on the streets. He sells pure
water after school for his
parents and whenever he can,
he joins up with some boys
who play street football. His
road to success began when
he was playing his street
soccer before he was
snapped up to an academy.
was wondering what alampasu means in yoruba language!

From zero to hero!

The All Progressives Congress
seems to be having an
owambe party all over Nigeria;
from the North to the South
and is getting all the media
attention required. The party
also appears to be mocking
the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, and celebrating the
implosion of the ruling party.
paranoia!

Senator Chris Ngige should better do his assignment perfectly cos result of an election is not base on opinion but the result at the polling booth.

Sincere 9gerian: All that long boring history just to dampen our celebration? The task before you is simple: show us any president/head of state under whose watch Nigeria won two trophies in the same year. No long story.
show us which year nigeria participated in 4 football tournaments.

Meanwhile, the 1993 U-17 World Cup was won under the regime of Earnest Shonekan while 1994 AFCON was under Abacha
the tournament started on the 21st of august and ended on the 4th of september in Japan, 5days before
General Ibrahim Babangida stepped aside.

Under whose administration did they qualify?
Under whose administration did they travel to Japan for the tournament?
Who financed the wages of the players and coaching crew?

The 1996 edition of the olympic football event was won under the administration of General Sanni Abacha and in what way has it contradicted what i've aforementioned
tolexander: Ibrahim Babangida and
Sanni Abacha, what a very
nice name we have in you
cos those achievements
weren't accidental!
my point is that stop politicizing and polluting everything with your deluded mind.

Issue like this has been existing and nobody care under whose administration it happened, until now when you guys came on board to disturb our peace with bull sh1t.

Sincere 9gerian: Good try but we'r talking of the same calender year. Try again.
your insincerity will never cease to amaze!

2013 is a year of 4 football tournaments(tournaments which concern nigeria). Nigeria won 2 cups out of the 4 tournaments.

1993 had just 2 tournaments(u17 &u20) and nigeria won 1.

1994 had 2 tournaments(nations cup and world cup) nigeria won the nations cup and reached the second round of the world cup. A feat nigeria couldn't achieve in 2010 football calendar

1996 had 2 football tournaments(olympic). Nigeria participated in one and didn't participate in the 2nd tournament(nations cup) due to diplomatic row with the host nation, South Africa.
Nigeria won the tournament she participated in.

achievement doesn't pride its function on what happened in a calendar year but its consistencies over the years
Sports › Re: Goodluck Jonathan: What Is In A Name? by Tolexander:
The question that comes to
mind following this
unprecedented feat is, what is
in a name? Clearly this is not
accidental.
nigeria won the U17 world cup in 1993 after winning it in China 85!

nigeria won the 2nd edition of the nations cup in 1994 after waiting for 14years

nigeria qualified for the world cup for the very 1st time in the history and appeared in USA '94 world cup as a debutant.

Nigeria won the gold in the football event of olympic in the 1996 edition in Atlanta, Georgia state, USA.

Ibrahim Babangida and Sanni Abacha, what a very nice name we have in you cos those achievements weren't accidental!
