Politics › Re: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by tomakint: 7:47pm On Nov 10, 2014
simpleseyi:
Do you expect a responsible government to encourage Fela in promoting the smoking and abuse of Indian Hemp like your clueless Jona-than is promoting Boko Haram and Oil theft and bunkering?
You Buharistans have a way of shooting yourself in the foot when trying to defend your 'General'....Fela was first an adult then an entertainer who has his own lifestyle he did not force on anyone why would a Buhari leave Nigeria's problem for Fela's problem?

Please speak for yourself. I also live in Lagos. I align myself with the opinion of the author about Fashola. I would rate Fashola 50% in performance. I can't see myself voting him for president or vice president. I live in Satellite Town; Terrible road all over. Local govt almost comatose. Massive corruption. They are just good with propaganda.
God bless you bro, I was in that axis two months ago and I am like...is this Lagos? shocked

edogirl2:
INEC needs to explain how over 1 million voters suddenly disappeared from the voters list.
There is more than a whiff of PDP/INEC mago mago in this. Fashola and Mr Tinubu have very good reasons to be concerned.
We the people must resist this clear sign of collusion between PDP and INEC to rig in Lagos.
So you still want APC in Lagos? huh What a pity!

Politics › Re: Seven Years Of Fashola: My Take Away (1) by tomakint: 8:19am On Nov 09, 2014
This is a well-cooked piece, exposing the lapses in our administrations and the lacuna in our supposed document of governance....is it not strange that the much abused administration of Goodluck Jonathan choose to sign in the Freedom of Information Bill while our 'dear Fashola' keeps rebuffing every attempt to give this same bill a chance in his domain. Jonathan has nothing to hide (transparency at play) while Fashola no doubt has a lot to hide!

Foreign Affairs › Re: Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Libya Under Gaddafi’s So-called Dictatorship by tomakint:
A delve into history proves that shining lights in Black Africa are never allowed by the Western Powers to finish their liberating jobs. Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, Tubman, Sanni Abacha, M.K.O Abiola, and now Mohmar Gadaffi all paid the price with their lives. Really, when you watch BBC,.CNN, Fox News and read Times Magazine too much you may want to call these bright minded liberators despots, misfits, oppressors but deep down, they are hardcore believers in 'Africa Must Be Liberated' cool

Fashola is the best. Akpabio could not have handled Lagos' s complexity and fiscal limitations.
Perhaps you need to contextualize your choice of words huh what in the world did you mean by 'Lagos complexity and fiscal limitations'? undecided what Lagos generates monthly is equivalent to what the 6 States in Northeast make in 6 months, Akwa Ibom is still coming up and yet is not as heavily indebted as Lagos...Akpabio all the way!

There is no point bringing datolee into this thread filled with half-truths, this Op is fond of claiming to know too much....I think he has been educated more on his own thread.

A brownie 9 is your best bet because you hardly can decipher the entry wound from the exit wound. It's a very dangerous pistol in the hand of a marksman!

You sure don't know hoe the politics in America works. The Republicans you prefer are 10 times worse than Obama.
Don't even start! What do you know about American politics if I may ask? The level of moral decadence whenever a Democrat is there cannot be compared to the financial loss recorded in the time of war when a Republican is ruling...this is just one out of many

but he is the President for crying out loud must he kowtow to the unholy and untoward demands of a few Americans undecided.....this is why I prefer the Republicans to the Democrats anytime anyday. Obama is not a smart administrator

Jonathan best bet Is Alhaji Adamu Muazu the current PDP chairman for VP while the Party leadership should be entrusted to Jerry Gana.
As much as I love the winning team of Jonathan/Sambo I think your suggestion of Muazu as a replacement in case of any eventuality is a wise one but Jerry Gana? I think not! Gusau is a spy that can never be trusted, Jonathan beware!
