Politics › Re: Governors Akpabio, Obi, Mimiko And Jang Behind Plot To Break Up Governors Forum by tomakint: 11:47am On May 26, 2013
Alxmyr: Take a journey into the past, a library will be your good companion on that journey.

The bottomline, in Ondo, we don't worship a foreign tin god.
Thanks for educating a confused soul! People like this are one of the reasons I worried so much about the Yorubas, always in the habit of repeating the same political mistakes of yesteryears! Mimiko and the good people of Ondo State have proved themselves worthy enough not to be tools in the hand of a fraud like Tinubu

kulyie: you are completely wrong.go to a thread here in this same nairaland where lawyers are complaining of high rate of divorce.check the percentage of marriages this days,a lot are in chaos.dont be decieved by the and co husband and wife wearing the same thing portraying peace and bliss in their homes outside when they know peace is far from their homes.

Meanwhile i am not saying all men are bad, there are still some reasonable men with empathy out there so there is nothing like insecurity issues.i amso secured in myself but to each his own sha.anyone that wants to jump into the band wagon withoutensuring compatibility and other factors is so free to jump in,infact, she is as free as the bird.anyway i didn't say marriage is not a beautiful thing, its beautiful gaannn.yes it really is

Never you in your life call my Governor 'omo ale', if you guys think Tinubu is the best thing that happened to Yoruba politics after Chief Obafemi Awolowo I can only laugh at your confusion! No wonder the Abokis turn you guys around like errand boys, if you want to know more about Ondo people, I will advise you take a journey down to 1983 if you know what I mean
Politics › Re: Jang Holds Inaugural Meeting As NGF Chairman - Newsexpress by tomakint: 11:47pm On May 25, 2013
thelastpope10: I told some funny chaps commenting here the other day that Amaechi was on a fools errand. It didnt matter if he won the NGF election or not. What he is playing is dangerous politics.

Politics 101

1. Never Isolate your support base. The SS and SE will never betray GEJ and vote for someone else, just because Amaechi is his running mate. That is just fantasy

2. Never play your cards too early. ACN and CPC have played all their cards too early. If anything, they have simply showed PDP what they need to put right before 2015

3. Never underestimate your opponent. Amaechi is probably listening to those who call GEJ clueless and will be shocked. If a man goes from LGA Deputy Governor to President, there is something he is doing right. That he doesnt try to achieve things by being brash and arrogant doesnt mean he doesnt know what he is doing. So far, he hasnt lost any battle. That means his methods are working.

4. Always understand the political terrain. Here is one place Amaechi has failed woefully. The north never joins opposition. The worst scenario is that they will try to strike a deal with GEJ to see how they can come back after he lives. They will not do opposition. The PDP governors in the north will not submit themselves to Tinubu and Buhari and loose out their current power base. It wont happen. The SS will not betray their own. The south west will only do a block vote if APC presents a Yoruba candidate. But that is not likely because APC was formed to pave way for a northerner. If APC presents a SW candidate, they will not get much vote from the North. Amaechi apparently is not a smart politician. He is probably listening to people like Rochas, Fashola or Oshiomole urging him to do what he is doing but when the chips are down, he will be left in the cold like Mama Bimbo's cold turkey wings! Skinless, frozen and ice cold wet!
WORD cool Thumbs up to you bro, once again you've proved your perfect understanding of how politics work in Nigeria to these 'young ones' here!

Politics › Re: Jang Holds Inaugural Meeting As NGF Chairman - Newsexpress by tomakint: 11:15pm On May 25, 2013
djon78: I never wanted to comment on this Amechi saga since, but for me I think Amechi has become a lone wolf in his zone, the forces arrayed against him is of huge magnitude. Can he come out of this unscathed, that I don't know only time will tell. As for PDP in Rivers, Amechi was never in control, he became governor through the supreme court judgment, he never contested election in 2007 while he rode on the back of Goodluck presidency in 2011. I actually see a scenario where he may be join APC in which he will be finished politically.
You got it correct, that was the whole object of this scheme! PDP strategist wants Amaechi to be eased out of PDP to the opposition party, APC and right from there he is politically redundant! Trust me, Amaechi is about to be buried politically for being too arrogant!
Politics › Re: Jang Holds Inaugural Meeting As NGF Chairman - Newsexpress by tomakint:
pro01: This is just the beginning. Most PDP governors realise the folly of supporting Amaechi (fighting for his own PERSONAL interest) against the president. I mean, come on; we're talking about Jonathan here - a calm man that is not interested in bullying bystanders and forcefully selecting gubernatorial successors, commissioners or local government chairmen in every state UNLIKE OBASANJO. GEJ would let the governors govern their states as they deem fit, and is not interested in interfering in their local politics or choosing their successors like Obasanjo notoriously did in several states. Any sensible governor can see this, and should know that it makes no sense to challenge the gods to a fight when the gods are at peace with you. This is mere common sense. Only buffoons with inordinate ambition and an exaggerated sense of self-importance would think otherwise, and they would surely face the dire consequences of their foolishness.
You really have a full grasp on how politics is run, respect to your analysis cool

Not just bombing innocent church-goers as Hausa/fulani jihadists do. A posters above claims know the brothel where Prof Ango goes to stretch out.

T9ksy: Ol' boy, I asked you a simple question based on your assertion that "ibos have shown love to the

yorubas" which you claimed to be one but have been unable till now to buttress your claim with tangible facts.

If standing up for my culture and people when they are being wrongly debased is tribalism then yes am a tribalist and I

will wear that label with the utmost pride.

I love my people and my culture and will not stand idle (like an omo-ale) while others spew spurious allegations about

my self-identity to appease their sad and lonely lives. And if that makes me a tribalist then so be it. whoever doesn't

like this fact is welcome to take a long walk off the shortest pier..............agungunla, aguntete!

I don't hate all IGBOS (even though I should considering .........) but I abhor your type who comes

Abeg help me ask am where he see the 'trouble' to me what happened is a big advantage for Jonathan, he now know how to re-strategize on his political calculations ahead of 2015! Jonathan has the whole '2014' to do his assignments and trust him, the Jonathan I know will do just that!

Pukkah: A lot of careless talk going on.

By the way, where was Asari when Amechi was trouncing Jang at the Governors' Forum election?
You should be more worried about what would befall Amaechi soon for daring the Presidency and his party, you should worry more about the fate of Amaechi back at home if still in doubt, watch as events unfold especially in Rivers State! You can quote me cool
Politics › Re: Amaechi Re-elected As Chairman Of Nigeria Governors Forum by tomakint: 6:59am On May 25, 2013
Gentle me: In my opinion a battle line has just been drawn...sincerely I pity Amaechi..sincerely!

The fact now is that Amaechi has just become an enemy of virtually all south south stakeholders beginning from the SS governors. You know why I said so? because almost every dude within the corridor of powers want a new position or retain their previous and only Jonathan who we know will become the president will deliver mandates to them and not Amaechi whose political relevance is fading with the sunset...the best He'll do is to form ally with the Northerners to fight his own brother. #We are watching!

Jonathan will subtly witch hunt that guy and use every arsenal against the dude. Those praising Amaechi's victory are just lame to say the least.

Where were Amaechi's powers when Chief Obuah emerged PDP Chairman in a State you are perceived the numero uno?
Where were his powers when less that 96hours, 22 law makers in the State were suspended?
Where were his powers when his G.U Ake (the perceived most powerful man in Rivers State) was overthrown?

He sacked the Obo Akpor Chairman and put in caretaker cmttee, minutes later orders came to unseat the caretaker cmmttee.

Lets wait and see how events in Amaechi;s life unfolds. Because as it stands there;s the 1000000% possibility that he can never regain the control of his State again from the hands of the his detractors. wink

The fact is that Amaechi may win this battle, but can never win this war...this is what politics in Nigeria is all about...#peaceout
While I pitifully say congratulations to Amaechi, I am of the strong opinion that Jonathan will still have the last laugh! Amaechi will definitely cross-carpet to APC because the heat he is about to be exposed to in PDP may consume him!

Politics › Re: Amaechi loses bid to return as Governor of Governors - Newsexpressngr by tomakint: 8:12pm On May 24, 2013
ZUBY77: Whether Amechi wins or not, Jonathan is staying in Aso Rock beyond 2018.
Amechi is not the most popular Politician in South South. It is GEJ. Amechi's victory means nothing to the entire South East, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta and Even Edo... Ileke Idi and Dayokanu and other super Yoruba lovers? Does Amechi's victory mean anything to you guys in the SW? Naa, i dont think so..
Amechi chose a very wrong time to contest for vice president, a time when his close brother GEJ is the president who also wants to return in 2015. Half of rivers state will naturally prefer a President from Neighbouring tribe/state to a VP from Rivers...
I dont hate Amechi or love GEJ but i am sure GEJ and Amechi must have discussed this before Amechi refused.. So the 10th law of power applies here.
''Crush the opponent totally because if you spare him, he might come back for you''

I dont know about you but i am voting GEJ in 2015 even though i am not PDP.
Seems you just got the game plan, Amaechi's victory will bring him on a head-on collision with Jonathan's ambition which may eventually affect Amaechi's influence and political relevance in SS, SE and would likely make Jonathan to be wiser, which is good! 2015 on my mind cool
Politics › Re: Why Did Al Mustapha Hand Power To IBB Via Adulsalami Abubakar After Abacha Died. by tomakint: 8:02pm On May 24, 2013
thoth: your assumption is seriously flawed. A dignitary from the middle east came the day before, and the head of state spent his evening with another military man till the late hours of the night, from the time he declared his ailment to his death was roughly seven hours or a bit more, i don't see how a girlfriend would fit in between. Also the sequence of events were clearly stated. None of the people who came in contact before, during and after his death(19 hours in all) mentioned any female participant, not even his wife. I found out that the buffons that usually mention a female participant were no where near the scene of event.
Flawed? You know for a high profile case as Abacha's death there were so many conspiracy theories to it and one of them is what I just quoted above! Perhaps you know more, please feel free to enlighten us, that's why I am here!
