Yari and the present governor are not in good terms and Yari explore an opportunity to deal with him. That's all.
If you checked well, the present governor is never confident of getting reelected that's why he dumped PDP to the APC trying to appease Yari but it was just not enough. Politics › Re: Tribalism Hidden In Foundations Of Our Country Have Come Out - Bolanle Olukanni by tomdon(m): 4:45pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
lhordspy: Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.
During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.
Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.
How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.
Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)
At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob. Nonsense talk. Not everyone is as stupid as you to believe your lies. Was it not your lord that was employing fake hungry bishops?? How did Peter obi do all the nonsense you're imagining in your dead skull?? Just by calling for a better country, is he supposed to be running away from churches because of liars like you?? Come off your illusion, nothing will make me as a bonafide full blooded Yoruba man to side with all your bullshit. Gbadebo is also yoruna |

Career › Re: Habits That Have Denied You Your Promotion At Work And Stalled Your Career by tomdon(m): 4:26pm On Mar 16, 2023 |
OmidheBlessing: Habits are characteristics that are ingrained in us; we do them with little or no consciousness.
Just as with many people, you find yourself grumbling about not being appreciated at work and not being promoted despite the number of years spent in the organisation.
You've asked for a pay rise, yet, nothing was forthcoming; you blamed your manager or supervisor for not putting in 'good words' for you.
Truth is, gone are those eras where people get promoted because of several years spent with the company.
Have you looked inward lately? It is your entire fault, yes you!
No one cares until you start caring. What are the habits that have stalled your career and denied you a promotion?
1. Not Building Capacity for more.
You probably came into the organization as a freshman out of college or as an intern. The firm has done well taking you in, and you have been deposited into by measures of training and experience but you have remained almost at the same level despite years. you haven’t proved to your superiors that you have grown in capacity and can take on more tasks.
2. Having the same credentials
Almost everyone starts their first job as a BSc holder. many who remained at such grades for years are not always the first to consider.
Earning more degrees or getting certified courses shows to your employer that you are committed to self-development which transcends to growth for the company.
3. Flaunting the Company’s Policies
If you are the type that has continuously flaunted the policies of the company, forget it, you are the last person to be considered for a promotion.
Flaunting policies shows you are a ‘bad egg’ and unfit for leadership roles. If policies do not sit well with you, discussed them with your manager or leave with your pride.
4. Slacking with work Turning in projects and deliverables late presents you as a lazy worker and thus cannot be given more tasks, hence no promotion.5. Being Anti-social Whether we agree or not, not many of us like to work with a social psychopath. Refusing to socialise because you are a ‘jack of all works’ ironically doesn’t make you get noticed.
Maintain a healthy relationship with your colleagues and superiors.
We cannot undermine the importance of someone ‘putting in words ‘for you.
5. Poor self-Image No one wants to make the head a person who can’t even put himself/herself together. If you aim for a leadership role in your firm, then walk and talk like you are already a leader. Dress the part, take on more delegations and be more involved in the growth of the company.
6. Showing no passion for the Job Most superiors can smell from a mile a nonchalant that isn’t passionate about the job even if you put up a façade.
If you are in an industry you are not enthusiastic about, switch over rather than remain fixated on a job that will probably not fetch you happiness and promotion. You don’t want to lose on both sides.
7. Remaining in the Same Job Longer than Necessary
Sometimes, your promotion or career growth simply lies in you switching jobs either within the same field or an entirely different industry.
One of the disadvantages of staying on the same job longer than necessary is, you come off as an ‘old dog' who can’t learn a new trick especially if you have not acquired new skills or certifications in years. Your employer would rather bring in an outsider who is better updated or bypass you and promote someone in the company who has continually shown capacity.
Thank goodness, habits can be unlearned and new ones can be picked up. If you have faulted in one or more of these habits listed above, you can still redeem yourself by making corrections and carrying out a personal rebranding.
Are you a manager, HR or a supervisor, what other habits can deny one promotion at work and stalled their career? Please share with us.
Thank you as you take out time to answer.

The igos betrayed Awo during the elections and ensured he failed, the igbos then went to start a coup killing leaders from other tribes including Akintola while sparring the lives of their own elders infacr fir deniability purpose zik and ironsi were conviently out the country the day the coup happened but somehow magically appeared the day after to take power......today we have igbos claiming Lagos is no man's land when none of their fathers know of its history......so when we say "Yoruba Ronu" it is not noise, it is a stern warning to all Omoluabis to remember who they are and not allow outsiders who cannot welcome us in their house to take over ours...... Yamiriflathead:
Although disappointing Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting? This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.
I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is homeless, hopeless, and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.
I'm happy yorubas can now sit down and ask qtns as to how they got everything wrong and redress it with BAT as President.
The take home from this defeat is..
Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW
Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas contest for Elections in Lagos or SW
Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos, they care so much about Lagos and don't care if their homes rot, Henceforth let them go home and vote. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.
Contain them politically, Period!
