Kingosytex: Despite the fact that Tinubu is the best definition of greed, I must confess that he carries everybody along. He is an astute politician and his sagacity is top-notch.
He still stands tall among his contemporaries. The definition of greed had his state allocation blocked by Obasanjo for yrs because of personal reasons. Tinubu still did not owe a single salary, he immediately brought up all revenue collection agencies that we have in Lagos today. He's very influential, but I don't think he's as greedy as people think. |

Richdad50:
A war scenario between US and Iran will play out like these in the battlefield but, do remembered that it will be remembered as the shortest and most brutal (on one side) conflict in recent history. The US will drag Iran just like a father beats up his neighbors son. Even Iran know they stand no chance whatsoever in the event of an open warfare. Let me clear that neither Russia or China will risk any confrontation whatsoever with US because of Iran. Never!
Iran's will first release their first grade missiles (mostly antic Russian missiles and a few SU300 missiles into Isreal and US bases. These missiles will 100% be intercepted by Patriots defense system and the most advanced missile defense system in the world known as the Aegis. With powerful ground base and air missile interceptors, the USA will be able to track, define, and eliminate the direction of the missiles minutes from launch.
Now, the USA will launch their precision (by far the most advanced in the world), laser guided cruise and ballistic (may not need intercontinental)missiles from different launch locations around the middle east. This will also include the ship frigates, submarines, and strike groups. They will hit Iran defense systems, military complexes, strategic posture and positions, energy, and power. Do know that the US have the Russian SU300 in their arsenal strictly for the purpose of testing.
After the heavy bombardment of military positions (not ground troops), the B-1, B-2, B-52 (Stealth bombers) F-35 (Fifth generation and the most advanced fighter jets in the world) will enter into the Iranian airspace. With their ability to be undetectable by radar, they will drop heavy payloads on more Iranian positions until the entire Iranian sky becomes dark with smoke. There will be no day but night for many days in Iran.
I just laugh when people talk about WWIII. Please from where? Iran! Lol. Iran is too little. The weight, power, and advancement of the US military technology far outweighs any its closest rival (Russia and China) by 10 years. The level of research and innovations from Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Gunman, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Boston Dynamics, etc makes them the most technologically advanced, advantageous military in the world.
Some replies are saying things like I am watching film...I laugh. You have no idea that most of the things you see in Hollywood are just a sample of the things the US military wants you to be aware of. There are so many destructive (within contained distance) devices at completion stage that US would very willing to try on Iran. It would be devastating and the news would send shockwaves all over the world.
Richdad Iran's geography is treacherous. It has small mountain ranges along some of its borders. Entering from the Afghanistan side in the east would mean traversing two deserts. Trying to get in from the west could also prove difficult even with Turkey — a NATO ally — as a bordering nation. After all, Ankara wouldn’t let the US use Turkey to invade Iraq, and its relations with Washington have only soured since. The US could try to enter Iran the way Saddam Hussein did during the Iran-Iraq war, near a water pass bordering Iran’s southwest. But it’s swampy — the Tigris and Euphrates rivers meet there — and relatively easy to protect. Plus, an invading force would run up against the Zagros Mountains after passing through, just like Saddam’s forces did. A Yankee private intelligence firm Stratfor called Iran a “fortress” back in 2011. If Trump chose to launch an incursion, he’d likely need around 1.6 million troops to take control of the capital and country, a force so big it would overwhelm America’s ability to host them in regional bases. By contrast, America never had more than 180,000 service members in Iraq. Take what it could do in the Middle East. Iran’s vast network of proxies and elite units — like Soleimani’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — could be activated to kill American troops, diplomats, and citizens throughout the region. US troops in Syria are poorly defended and have little support, making them easy targets. US allies would also be prime targets. Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist group in Lebanon, might attack Israel with rockets and start its own brutal fight. We’ve heard this story before: In 2006, they battled in a month-long war where the militant group fired more than 4,000 rockets into Israel, and Israeli forces fired around 7,000 bombs and missiles into Lebanon. About 160 Israelis troops and civilians died, according to the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and about 1,100 Lebanese — most of them civilians — perished, per Human Rights Watch, a US-headquartered advocacy organization. It also reports about 4,400 Lebanese were injured, and around 1 million people were displaced. But that’s not all. Iran could encourage terrorist organizations or other proxies to strike inside Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf nations. Last year, it planned and executed drone strikes on two major Saudi oil facilities deep inside the kingdom, convulsing world markets. Its support for Houthis rebels in Yemen would mostly certainly increase, offering them more weapons and funds to attack Saudi Arabia’s airports, military bases, and energy plants. the Islamic Republic likely has sleeper cells in Europe and Latin America, and they could resurface in dramatic and violent ways. In 1994, for example, Iranian-linked terrorists bombed the hub of the Jewish community in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, killing 85 people and injuring roughly 300 more. That remains the largest terrorist attack in Latin America’s history, and the possibility for an even bigger one exists. In 2018, Argentina arrested two men suspected of having ties with Hezbollah. The Islamic Republic’s submarines would also play a huge part in trying to sink an American vessel. And the nation’s anti-ship missiles and drones could prove constant and deadly nuisances. Should US troops try to enter Iranian territory on land, Iranian ground forces would also push back on them fiercely using insurgent-like tactics while the US painfully marches toward Tehran. Put together,a US-Iran war would be “a nasty, brutal fight...... its going to be the toughest in modern-day history.....it going to be very long, you cant win a war with only airforce and naval equipments, you need ground forces. and that number of ground forces needed is just impossible for US to muster for now. |

iswallker: [[s]quote author=kayjay69 post=85531879]The whole thing has turned into one big joke honestly.
So let me get this straight, the US invades a very stable and somewhat calm Iraq with Saddam Hussein as its President under the pretext of having Nuclear and Chemical weapons. They kill him like a dog in the street then Iran has a field day because Iraq is a Shia majority.
Not happy with this outcome, the US, Saudi Arabia and Israel establish and empower ISIL (or ISIS whichever you choose) to primarily limit Iran's growing influence via proxy and contain them within their own borders. When the whole thing starts getting out of hand, Russia steps in to save their buddy Syria via military pact, Iran steps in to limit the spread of ISIS (this was what Qasem Soleimani did and did very effectively), then the same USA steps in pretending to fight ISIL (or ISIS).
ISIS gets kicked in the teeth mainly due to the Shia militia groups led by Soleimani, US sees their influence waning in the region, in Syria they are not wanted, in Iraq nobody needs them. And they know for sure with a Shia majority led parliament, it was only a matter of time before they were asked to leave. So Trump does something only Trump would do and assassinates a high ranking Iranian General who has led to their diminished stature in the region and after the Iraqi parliament passed a resolution asking them to leave the country, they label the Shiite Militia group responsible for fighting and limiting ISIL a terrorist organisation.
My conclusion really is this, the United States of America is the biggest Terrorist Organisation in the world and every country that values its existence and heritage must work to ensure they are strong and independent to standup to their tactics.[/s]

In case you don't know, there are sunni Islamic terror groups, and Shia Islamic terror groups, a d both of them are enemies. ;DIran sponsors some organizations that are deemed as a terrorist organization by the west, some western countries like germany sees hezbollah as a terrorist organization but not all. Hezbollah is a millitant group sponsored by Syria, lebanon and mostly iran to fight ISIS in Syria and that axis. they are at the forefront of fighting ISIS in Syria and yes they are mostly Shia |
