Happy New Year to every Nairalander.Wishing you all a prosperous year. |
Alaafia l‘oro:Thanks. I actually brought up those questions which form the basis of creating this thread up in respect of your earlier post that praying loudly in a congregation helps revive those who are not so mature spiritually. Now the question is would you consider someone praying quietly beside you in a congregation where everybody is praying loudly as an immature christian? I'm asking this because this is one thing that happens in many churches and fellowships nowadays. Everybody wants to be noticed and given the title and respect of a mature Christian while forgeting the reason they came to Church. I wouldn't want to mention names but if you have ever been tapped by someone while praying quietly in a congregation where everybody is praying loudly and told to raise your voice, then you might get a picture of what I'm saying. Keep the discussion alive! |
Happy Sunday guys! Just to bring up the main points of creating this thread. 1) Do you think praying loudly or otherwise in a congregation should be used to determine one's level of spirituality? 2) Do you think praying loudly makes God know you are serious with your demands. 3) Do you think praying loudly brings fast answers. Keep the comments coming! |
God2man: Praying loudly increases the level of concentration, no wandering of minds, it is so direct and powerful.Do you know that praying quietly and moving back and forth can also help increase concentration. In fact, from experience, it helps reduce the possibility of getting tired or falling asleep especially during long prayer sessions. Try it. God bless. Keep the comments coming! |
Nice one. I never expected this kind of scoreline. I predicted something like a 3-1 win for Arsenal. I think work still needs to be done in our defence area but all the same Kudos to my Gunners for this one! |
Good point Shola4me.I'll still love more comments. |
I drive mostly with shoes on.I think it is advisable for starters to drive without shoes for ease of control and then as time goes on learn to drive with shoes on. |
OP leave the girl alone and get a muslim girl for yourself to marry. Simple! |
honeychild: @OPAbi o. Some people just quote verses of the Bible they don't like without taking time to go through the whole passage or story. Anything to spite the Bible makes them happy. |
Atheist:-D:Your comments are quite funny though there are some elements of truth in them. ![]() Keep them coming! |
@alafia loro. Good comment.Well appreciated. |
Na crocodile tears joor! |
I can't believe some people still waste their time studying these senseless end of the world predictions. |
Please let's not derail this thread. keep the comments coming! |
Good decision by Messi.Sometimes money is not everything. |

Atheist:-D: Ok Atheist. Point noted. |
aletheia: @OP: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: . . . a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.sorry sir, I don't seem to get you. |
@frosbel Good point.I've also been to places where prayer points are called and the leader would be like "shout the name of Jesus" and I would be like "why should I shout". I've also been in situations where I'm praying quietly and then I get tapped by an older person and they'll say "I can't hear you pray" and I'll be like "must you hear me pray" it can be so annoying. van bonattel: Raising your hand to beat a woman, you will be surprised how many ladies are secretly taking karate lessons. Just try anything funny and you will spend the next few days in the hospitalLMAO ![]() |
Image123: do you talk /communicate always on the same frequency, emotion and voice? No.But still, I don't get your point.Ok let me make it clearer to you.In what type of situations do you pray loudly or quietly and what type of demands would make you pray loudly or quietly. |
Some men prefer it to raising their hands to beat their wives. It's sort of a way of punising her.I mean after spending hours in the kitchen to prepare food for you, you then refuse to eat. That would hurt any woman. |
advocate666: There are many instances, especially in the old testament. But consider this about Jizz-Us himslef. So are you an advocate of "the louder you pray the faster God answers?" |
Image123: the two are good, it depends on situations and what you're demanding.More explanation please.I don't seem to get your point. |
jammyng: That's what you get when illiterates handle stuffs like that and throw them without 'sensible' sense. I saw a boy on my street throwing 'banger' under a car which definitely has petrol in it.And you didn't give the boy a dirty slap? |
Hmm....... |

Congrats Goshen.You deserve it. |
Heatblast: If a christian would come with another bible verse on why they should pray out loud, I won't be suprised cause the bible is full of contradictionsThere are questions I Would love to ask you but I don't want to derail the thread.I'll save them for another thread. Comments appreciated though! Keep them coming! |
