Hey guys! I need your opinions on this. Some people believe that praying loudly makes God know you are serious.Others view it as a sign of maturity in Christ. Some churches even say praying loudly makes God answer your prayers faster. So let's discuss. What do you guys think.Biblical references will be appreciated. |
I believe what makes a song is the message I get from it.My listening to a song the second time depends on the message I get from it at first.I won't advice Christians to listen to listen to songs that center on sex, money, wild partying etc. they would end up corrupting the heart. That is why the Bible instructs us to guard our heart with all dilligence. As for me, I listen to any kind of song (gospel et al) as long as the song passes a good message through the lyrics, has a nice tune and beat. |
I don't see anything demonic about Christmas. It is not the date that matters but the essence of the celebration.Christmas is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus who came to save us from distruction and then reflect on our own lives. The eating and drinking are just additionals to the essence. It's the birth of the saviour that really matters. |
Hmm another sad news this year. May God help us in this country.RIP to the dead. |
OP think with your head, not your heart. That girl is not yours.Put aside your emotions meet her face to face and tell her off. Then take your mind off her, focus on your studies and pray to God to give you someone else your faith will be compatible with. Good luck. |

Well, as far as I'm concerned, as long as I have not defiled myself, I also deserve a girl who has not defiled herself.I agree with lola that there are a lot of pressures on ladies nowadays but guys too face a lot of temptations as well and I believe a guy who manages to overcome those temptations deserves to be crowned with a girl who also has kept herself. Ladies, please keep yourselves. It will increase your worth and dignity before your man. Merry Xmas to you all. |
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. |
Merry Christmas to: mukina, plappville, dj xpro, goshen, joagbaje, logicboy, freecocoa, frosbel and everyone in the religion, sports and politics sections and ultimately to all Nairalanders including Seun. Wishing you all a joyous Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead. |
Long but very nice story. Can't believe I read all of it. |
Though cotonou cars are quite cheaper than the ones in Nigeria, From experience, I would not advise anyone to buy cars from cotonou. 1 some of the cars are stolen cars 2 most times, you go there and pay for a full car but by the time your car arrives in Naija, you might discover that the radio or cd player and other parts have been removed. 3 The issue of custom papers. Most cars from cotonou are brought into Naija with fake custom papers and if you are someone that is not observant, God help you when you fall into the hands of custom officials. so my advice is to go to Lagos to buy your cars and make sure you examine every part of any car you want to buy very well before paying for it. |
2012 has really been a yr of deaths.RIP Raymond Ayuba. |

ok o! a ti gbo. |
everything is wrong with it.what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? @op.ask urself these questions on the day of d naming of ur child, what type of service would u conduct? before ur child gets to decide 4 himself, will he be goin 2 d mosque or church? There are a lot of other issues u wld have to iron out and they may not be very easy. so my advise is to marry someone of ur faith so as to avoid unnecessary problems and confusion in ur home. |
u guys are very funny over here. @op u tried 4 not hitting her back but u spoilt the show by crying.Haba, crying is a very foolish way of xpressin anger after being hit by a woman.even the ladies here that i thought wuld support u are all against it.The best u cld have done was to squeez her and maybe push her to a chair or the bed and give her a stern warning never to try that again or she wld have herself to blame, then walk out. That would make her know that you are not to be taken for a fool. |
oluchi jud: unless your church service holds on a beach without any shade. Itz not fashionable 2 wear SUNshades inside a room or hall. Next tym u see d@ boy, tell him he's a bush boy. Na SUN shades no b CHURCHshades dem call am.As if u read my mind. |

This is an unnecessary one from Nollywood! |
koastar: I'm sure she didnt graduate higher than a 2:2. Rush hour reading can never make you perform better than the material you rush to read. Perfoming better requires reading wider than the notes you were given in class.Yeah.Seconded. |
acidtalk: Became your friend when she needed something you had. If there wasn't ever a need, do you think she would ever be friendly with you?Well, maybe or maybe not.It wasn't really about the need, what suprised her was the way I handed it to her without hesitaton.Obviously, she was expecting me to give her a bad look and then ignore her but on the contrary, I smiled and gave her what she wanted. That was like heaping coals of fire on her head.Later that day, she came to my seat, sat down beside me and that was how we started getting along.Considering your point, at first,I never really gave her much room but she kept coming. That gave me the impression that it might be more than the need afterall. She did so many things for me that I don't think I would ever forget. All these happened quite a long time ago, but till today, she still remains the best female friend (if not the best friend) I ever had. |
Greatest of the Greatest Akokites!!!.Congrats guys.More grease to your elbow. |
ochallo: why would anyone go and pray to the noah's arc,it housed noah and his family when there was a storm that;s all, it was built by man like you for years and was used to stay afloat.Seconded! |
This topic reminds me of my best female friend when I was in secondary school. We were enemies when she first joined the school. She would abuse, eye and hiss at me at every given opportunity.A day came she needed something which I had, at first she was afraid to ask but after a while she asked for it and to her suprise, I gave it to her without hesitation. We became friends that day to everyone's astonishment and got closer day after day. To topic: It can be easy.It only takes a step from either of you. |

Richfella: How do they know he's the one?Abi! |
Nollywood has lost another great actor.RIP Pete. |
ItsModella: In secondary school, when a teacher flogged me shege in front of the whole school. As a prefect na, big girl and all, that was very embarrassing.Had a similar experience too.The principal ordered that all SS3 students be flogged after the assembly that day.It got to my turn and as I looked to the right, behold, my school daughter was right there watching. At a point, she had to cover her face as she could not bear it anymore.Mehn, I was so embarassed. |
