sunny t: My brother, you are very correct, bt d options lies wit youlol |
dr.laykay:For sure! |
I only pray that this man's eyes are opened to see the light of Christ before he dies as there is a way that seems right to a man but the end is destruction. JESUS IS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE. |
miss-sweety86:hmmm.....nice one. *ah sorry, girls only* |
There's no one worthy of trust in this country. Until we put aside sentiments, tribe and religion, take our destiny in our hands and begin to demand accountability instead of worshiping our leaders, I don't see Nigeria going anywhere. |
free2ryhme: if you are senstive to know that you've hurt him deep in public and you kneel b4 him without bin questioned or directed then ya apology is sincere... Kneeling is just an outward show of how sincerely sorry your are if the situation involves humiliating him... It also shows that you wont do anything to hurt/disrespect him in public and the hurt was nvr intentional3 Gbosa!!! You have written the absoute truth |
A commendable action by Obi. My sincere congratulations to the girl. |

R.I.P |
We'll keep our fingers crossed. |
OP I quite understand you but I would advise you to end the r/ship. Going further would bring many consequences that might be too much for you to handle. |
OP I quite understand you but I would advise you to back off the r/ship. It is a futile r/ship. |
How to attract a christian lady in no time: Be a christian yourself. |
Flytefalls: Lmao @ all of above! What!!!!!!!!! @topic. "what's the name of your pef" |
The guy should have left the apartment since if he really gat any respect left for himself. Staying there in the first place is an embarassment. |
plappville: What could make it offensive to others? She should now please others and displease herself....after all no one has provided this was a tradition of the Apostled! You know that not every issue is expresslly treated in the Bible. Apostle Paul admonishes us to do things with the consideration of the next person in mind so as not to make him fall. I personally have no issues with it but generally, In this part of the world, it is very difficult to separate culture from christianity and here, crossing of legs in public is seen as bad. So, anyone who looks around in Church and sees the OP crossing her legs would have uncomfortable thoughts and feelings about her. That moment, his mind has drifted off the service into something else. So, for the sake of that and so as not to attract unnecessary attention to herself, I believe the OP should try and avoid it. |
Ogafid: this are ur problems in this forum i may not have been contributing but i read. U love criticising christianity, why? Why? Why?. U pray as d spirit leads weather loud or quiet just prayYoung man, no one is criticising christianity here at least not me. I am a christian myself and I think I clearly stated my purpose of creating the thread in my opening post. Thanks for commenting though. |
hornipipe: Yes its wrong, what are you crossing your legs for ?Did you read the opening post at all? The OP said her dress wasn't short. @topic. I personally do not see anything wrong in it but I think for the sake of others who may find it offensive, the OP shoul try and avoid crossing her legs when she is in church. |
Eh yah! RIP. |
Jobig: Poster you need deliverance, never question things of God cos you are in no position to ask that questions.Remain in your foolishness. |
vivian chinaza: Both are good. It depends on the kind of prayer. When u wanna praise, worship and make supplications to him, then silent prayer is for you. But when u are at war with the forces of darkness, the principalities and powers, wickedness in the high places you do it violently.Wow. That's nice. I don't think I can do that, especially if it is in the night. |
Ifa studies. I Wonder what the scheme of work would be like. ![]() |
Thanks mods ![]() |
Image123: ^Don't get me wrong. I'm not against praying loudly as Jesus himself did so in quite a number of instances. I just don't like what we Christians are turning it into nowadays. You hear statements like 'that man is not mature spiritually. Look at the way he was praying the other time'. Another one is found in frosbel's post where his son went to a church and was told to pray louder and louder because 'A shut mouth is a shut destiny'. These statements are unfounded in the Bible. I personally believe prayer should be a dialogue strictly between you and God and that it is your heart that matters during prayer.I also believe one should be sensitive enough to know when to pray loudly or otherwise. In otherwords, your prayer should not be a disturbance to the next person or people around who may be sleeping or doing other things unconnected with prayer. NB: I opened this thread not to condemn praying loudly but for people to share opinions, experiences they had during prayer sessions and biblical referencies on praying eitherway. |
Still @Image. That you have a desperate need doesn't qualify as a reason to pray loudy. It's part of the emotions and sentiments that I talked about earlier. Remember the Bible says that God knows our needs even before we pray. So why should I shout. He looks at your heart not how desperate you are with your demands. |
^^^ Thank God you said it is the Holy Spirit that helps us to pray. So tell me, is it everytime that you pray especially in a congregation that the Holy Spirit would lead you to pray loudly. Though I'm not against praying loudly but the truth is it has been turned to something else these days. Another issue is that of vigil. You see a church in choked up places (like some areas in Lagos) and neighbourhoods holding loud prayer sessions in the middle of the night and the leader keeps telling them to pray even louder without considering those that are sleeping in the neighbourhood. Yet they would go on evangelism and expect unbelievers in the neighbourhood to come running to the church. I think it's high time we Christians started controlling the way we bring culture, emotions and sentiments into Christianity and allow the Holy Spirit himself take over. I agree with you on the issue of demon casting. Keep the comments coming! |
We are gonna win this one. |
Quite a sad one. RIP Bisi. |
Happy New Year to you all. We praise God for the gift of life. |
