Politics / Re: Kogi: Buhari Setting Nigeria On Path Of Anarchy – Fayose by toniok: 10:55am On Nov 26, 2015
PDP has refused to acknowledge that Audu has contested elections in Kogi in the past and failed woefully. Why didn't Kogi people vote for him then if it was individuals that people vote for and not party. The members of a party and the position of a party in the country contributes significantly to the candidate's success. APC Should be allowed to present another candidate and carry on .
Politics / Re: See Why INEC's Decision About Kogi Poll Is Very Wrong by toniok: 7:39am On Nov 26, 2015
Audi Abubakar had been contesting elections before now (under different political parties) and had failed. Why did Kogi people not vote him in, if it was only the candidate that matters ( and not the party). Everybody has refused to ask this question. My advice is that the party greatly affects success in elections. Therefore APC should be allowed to replace the deceased.

I suppose Buhari does not want to have his ministerial nominees to be confirmed!!! Saraki will fight back and its gonna be dirty

Buhari's body language suggests he does not need ministers. If his nominees are not confirmed by senate, they will be helping him out.

Do u reside I rivers state? Or u are praising Amaechi base on what u read on pages of newspapers and the internet?
Yes I stay in Rivers state as well as Delta state. Believe me, Deltans would have been ever grateful if Uduaghan had done 50% of what Amechi did in Rivers state (in terms of development )

I believe Amechi did well in Rivers state. Comparing achievements in Akwa boom (highest revenue earner), rivers and delta; U will understand that Amechi tried. All these accusations are to rubbish him bros of his contribution towards enthronment of this regime

Politics / Re: Court Dismisses Suit To Stop Inec’s Card Readers by toniok: 8:38pm On Mar 02, 2015
These lawyers are wasting their time. Inec has said it several times that use of the card readers is not for voting but for authentication of would be voters. Going by their reasoning inec should also have used hand to write the voter's register instead of using laptops and cams.

Politics / Re: We Won't Provide Security For February 14 Poll Unless Its Postponed - Military by toniok: 10:52am On Feb 07, 2015
When Chibok girls where taken away, the next day PDP went to Kano for a rally. people condemned it . PDP told people that governance cannot grind to a halt just because of insecurity in the country. Now they want election to be postponed because of same insecurity issue. see hypocrisy. This Govt. has failed woefully.
Politics / Re: Voters Can Collect PVCs Till February 13– INEC by toniok: 7:21am On Feb 06, 2015
INEC has done well within the circumstance they have found themselves. I expect our governors to assist inec ( declare a day or two public holiday). INEC has advised that continuous distribution of these cards at the polling unit is costly to them. I expect our governors to assist lnec to bear the cost of distributing these cards at pulling units instead of criticising INEC blindly.

Politics / Re: 2015 Presidential Election - A More Objective Prediction Of The Outcome by toniok: 2:08pm On Dec 24, 2014
There are fundamental issues many of us have not taken note of:
1. The votes GEJ got in SE and SS in 2011 were not reflective of voters that came out to vote, rather those figures were made up by massive rigging (multiple thumb printing) because the opposition had no body on ground in those regions.
2. The Presidential election was conducted alone in 2011 unlike what will happen in 2015, where it will be with the national assembly.
3.In every state come 2015 there will be locals contesting for seats in the national assembly in APC , PDP and other parties.
4. Elections will be keenly contested in all states and there may not be room for manipulation of the presidential votes.
5.From the fore-going, GEJ may not get those million votes of SS and SE as it was in 2011.
6. Remember that in 2015 election, for every polling unit, the total votes cast for national assembly must equal that of the presidential, anything to the contrary will suggest rigging.

So these are the peculiarities of 2015 election.

Politics / Re: FG Withdraws Tambuwal's Security Details by toniok: 8:34am On Oct 30, 2014
Tambuwal is a master strategist , by the resumption date of 3rd December, PDP primaries would have been over. The PDP lawmakers then will have noting to fear to keep and support tambuwal as their speaker ( I even mean those that will win the primaries). Those that loose primaries will give no damn about pdp
Politics / Re: How Jonathan Will Win In 2015 By Simon Kolawole by toniok: 10:08pm On Oct 29, 2014
[quote author=raumdeuter post=27561754]The writer is underestimating the pull of the Running mate to Buhari can have on the election

His analysis might be right if its only Buhari vs Jonathan but when a popular Yoruba politician like Fashola is a VP candidate under Buhari that would change the dynamics.

Ondo And Ekiti state from being PDP It wont also stop these Yoruba states from voting "OUR SON". Just like Rivers, Imo would have a strong APC presence, yet the "OUR SON" judgment would win those places overwhelmingly for Jonathan in the presidential election

In 2011, we had situations when Northern states voted PDP for governorship and next saturday voted overwhelmingly for Buhari in the Presidential

BTW how is Ondo PDP? only the governor decamped and the PDP in the state is already in a mini crisis, Labor in the state is orphaned

The OP has forgotten dat all things being equal. GEJ may not get the number of votes he got in SE and SS in d last election, because of the combined presidential and national Assembly election. for instance GEJ got over a million vote in anambara while in the last Governorship election, the total votes cast was just a little over 300,000 in dat state. For the fact that the total number of votes dat will be cast in any state for the national Assembly shall be equal to the total of the presidential election. This will make it very difficult for GEJ to be allotted bloated figures.
Politics / Re: APC Rally In PH (photo's) by toniok: 12:36am On Oct 26, 2014
My fear for GEJ is dat the presidio election will be held along side national Assembly election. The national Assembly elections will be keenly contested and each party checkmated at the senatorial and fed. constituency levels in all states. The total votes dat will be cast in the national Assembly in each state will not be bloated for obvious reasons and by implication has to be equal to dat cast for the presidency. This will not give room for PDP to manipulate figures to favour PDP. Don't know whether you people are seeing this the way am seeing it?

Politics / Re: BOMBSHELL: “pres. Jonathan Can’t Win In 2015″ – Dokubo Asari by toniok: 12:16pm On Oct 19, 2014
I said it dat the undoing of GEJ was allowing INEC to fix nat. assembly election with dat of Presidential. National Assembly elections are local and involves serious checks by the locals themselves and party agents. This will also affect the no. of votes GEJ will get in his strong areas SMS and SE. Tell me if the total vote cast for national Assembly contestants in a particular location is 100,000 how can PDP make d one for GEJ 500,000. It will be impossible to achieve DAT. This election will spring up surprises unlike the one 2011 which d presidential elect. was held alone and figures were easily manipulated .
Politics / Re: Buhari Or Jonathan?: Let’s Do Some Mathematics By Dele Momodu by toniok: 3:01pm On Oct 18, 2014
Inec in their wisdom planned to curb the communal rigging tendencies of a particular party by putting national assembly and presidential election on same day. National assembly election being more of locals will help check communal rigging of the presidential election if it were held alone. I don't for see a situation were the total vote cast in senatorial contest will be e.g 100,000 and that for president will be 500,000. otherwise the genuity of such result will be questioned
