Our soilders have tried whether or not you admit it. They have push these elements to the border towns. Our problem now is our neighbouring countries. They need to cooperate with us to finish off these Boko Haram. They are providing safe haven for them to regroup. PMB has to warn them against sabotaging our effort.

Which of the food item? Hope Garri is not part of it bcoz the price has come down considerably. Except rice which PMB insisted that we have capacity to grow for internal consumption and for export.
Politics / Re: Tell Nigerians What FG Used Borrowed N3tr For, Atiku Asks Buhari by toniok: 7:02pm On Oct 10, 2018
Atiku's level of economics seems to be low. 3tr naira is little above 8.4 billion dollars. People are saying that for Nigeria to grow economically we need to fix power, roads, rail, housing, health, education etc. Mind you previous administrations did not do much in these areas. Budget experts have advised that the nation's budget ought to be in neighbourhood of 15 tr naira annually for the next five years. Presently the nation's annual budget is just 8tr with over 30% deficit. How do we finance this deficit? How do we build power, rail, roads, hospitals, improve lives of Nigerians if we don't borrow? Our net revenue can not carry us as a nation and the population is out growing what ever assets we think we have in the country now.
PMB is not borrowing to pay salaries. the borrowings are tied to different capital projects e. g Lagos Ibadan rail line, roads, power projects, mambilla plateau etc. The Govt. in a bid to reduce cost of borrowing, external debts were incurred to refinance local debts inherited. Nigeria is at a cross road right now. All we need is sincere and in corrupt leadership that will manage whatever we have and with time we shall get there.

i was so shocked to see this, especially coming from a white woman. our politicians have killed us all, plus i think is time we stand and take whats ours.

We make 160 million dollars each day, which in naira is fifty eight billion one hundred and sixty million a day, calculate a week then a month.

cc lalastical

Over 60% of this amount go back to where it is coming from through importation of refined petroleum products, rice and payment of foreign goods and services. Nigeria can only survive if we begin to produce at least 30% of our needs locally

Nobody, I mean nobody in this world will change Nigeria , make it a nation where we will have full employment, good infrastructure, etc over night. where is the money? where 70% of our total earnings go to payment of salary and running of Govt. at all levels.
I will only prefer the man that has the following qualities.
1. That is working hard towards increasing our revenue by diversification to agriculture, solid minerals etc
2. That take bold steps to stop wastage of our scarce fx on importation of commodities we have capacity to produce in-house.
3. Has the boldness to minimize corruption in our Govt.
4.That can reduce the population growth in the country.
These things if we'll implemented will take us over 12 yrs to be okay. We as a country must pass through discomfort for us to attain this heights. Any body that is promising transforming Nigeria overnight is a big joker.

Some thing must be unique about this administration. In the time of Obj, yaradua & Gej. it is the common man that usually protest and wail after elections and the elites will be laughing. Now it is the other way round. The elites are now protesting and wailing while the common man is calm and laughing.
Politics / Re: See What This Omisore Fans Wrote On Facebook After Osun Rerun. by toniok: 10:03pm On Sep 28, 2018
Which one do we believe now:
1.Omisere worked with APC and conceded all votes in his location to APC and that made APC win re-run.

2. Police stopped pdp members coming from God knows where (in buses) on the morning of election from voting. Everyone knows that on election day, there is restriction of movement and people travelling to vote, do so a day or more before the election.

3. Thugs stopped those without white handkerchief from voting. Question is: How many people had this white handkerchief? And what stopped the so called pdp voters from carrying one and eventually vote for their candidates.

I do not blame the man. Any leader that did not learn from what happened to our own Aguiyi Ironsi is a fool. He gave the southerners the chief of defence staff and chief of naval staff. Positions in economy, finance, CBN etc has been handed to the south. My brothers, let's make do with those. This security positions you people are clamouring for , are you the ones to lead the way against Boko haram? Remember the accusations that were levelled against our Ihejirika ( of ethnic Cleansing)

Politics / Re: State, Community Police: Senate To Amend Constitution To Allow Its Creation by toniok: 11:31pm On Jul 03, 2018
I can't imagine what the situation will be in a state like delta state. If for instance an ijaw man is the governor and expectedly appoints a fellow ijaw man as the state police chief. Any action taken by this police chief against (maybe) an istekiri man, will be viewed as being ethnic and discriminatory by the istekiri people. This kind of situation will be predominant in most of the multi ethnic States like delta, plateau, Kaduna etc. This different ethnic sets in these states most times prefer outsiders (who are not from the state) as police boss. They believe they will be neutral and fair in handling issues amongst them.
Politics / Re: State, Community Police: Senate To Amend Constitution To Allow Its Creation by toniok: 10:43pm On Jul 03, 2018
This bill will affect the Igbos negatively. They are more outside their states. The locals will use the state police against them and they may not have anybody to complain to. Abroad where this state police work, the people see themselves as one. They speak same language, have common culture and way of life. In Nigeria and many African countries, we see ourselves as different - different languages, culture, religion etc. I will rather advise that more personnel be employed into the police force and policemen and officers be as much as possible posted to their state of origin.

We are not fools OBJ. During his time , he humiliated 3 Igbo senate presidents ( Evans Enwerem, Adolphus Nwagbara, and finally Chuba Okadigbo) out of office. He nearly did same to Ken Nnamani. How many Governors did he impeach? How many political assassins were recorded during his tenure? Many is the answer. He sent soilders to demolish and massacre two towns ( Odi and zaki bam). PMB has not done any of these, yet he is saying democracy is under threat. Coming to GEJ tenure, we all witnesses to how speakers of the HOR were removed ( Etteh Patricia, Demeji Bankole), how a president of the court of appeal was sacked by GEJ. Gov Muritala Nyako was impeached. Gov Al Makura was nearly impeached if not for the chief judge of the state that saved him. we all saw how 16 was greater than 19 in governor's forum election. we witnessed his police officer MBU was used to lock out a sitting governor from government house PMB has not done any of these . please let's not allow these politicians deceive us.

So why are soldiers of southern extraction also sent to the war front? They are fit to be on the field and in the face of danger but not at the helm of affairs?
What happens to the supposed heterogeneity of Nigeria if only Northerners are suitable because they appear to have more issues? Which people took decisions on IPOB matters then?

Meanwhile u haven't explained Prisons, Immigration, Police and Customs...

We may not need to argue endlessly. My point is that about 98% appointments in security are to the north and almost the same percentage of appointments in economy & finance are to the south. It is strategic .

And DSS, NIA, DIA, Police, Customs, Immigration, Prisons, CDS?
What's the excuse for placing only Northerners to head these places? Let me not engage you on the self-serving explanations u gave for the service chiefs...

DSS, NIA, DIA are all intelligence related. And as i said these will be better handled by northerners since the major security threat then even till now are all coming from the north. The CDS is from southwest and not as alleged by your goodself

politicians are just crying wolf where there is none. Why is no body talking about the appointments in the finance
& economic sector? CBN, min. of finance, budgeting & planning, DMO, SEC, Budget office are all manned by southerners. This strategic, when pmb came into power, the major security threat was boko haram. He need to use people from NE ( buratai & the air forceman) who understand the language and terrain of these areas to fight them. He put a person from SS as chief of naval staff, which is good. The chief of defence staff is from SW. GEJ made this mistake during his time. Using Ihejirika (COAS) to fight boko haram. The northerners accused him of killing their people and petitioned the ICC over it. Pls let us all reason before we write things that will not help the country

OBJ should be ashamed of himself advising anybody about Governance. How many times were senate presidents impeached and governors removed during his time. Was it not in his time that people will be online casting their votes while his man (IWU) will be announcing results. How many notable politicians were killed during his time? Infact he should go and rest rather disturb PMB

OBJ 's message though re awakening but he was not better during his time . Talk of nepotism he is the father of nepotism. How many senate presidents were impeach in his time ? How many Governors were impeached? people will be on queue casting their votes while inec will be somewhere declaring results ( do or die politics).

Politics / Re: Qaulity Of Life Would've Been Better If GEJ Was Re-elected . by toniok: 2:02pm On Jan 22, 2018
power must come to south and by implication south east in 2023. You people should allow pmb to finish his second term. At least he has done some good in external savings, building of quality roads in all the geo political zones, drastic reduction on import bill on rice and other agro products, allowed institutions (eg Inec, efcc, dss etc) to work freely to the extent that they can challenge his authority. Whatever is left will be handled by an Igbo president. Those crying day and night that pmb should not return are only trying to scuttle the ordering of event already ordained by God.They will surely fail.

Test Your Popularity Now - PDP Challenges APC

…Hails PDP’s Sweeping Victory in Delta LG Polls
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenges the All Progressives Congress (APC) to immediately test its popularity among Nigerians by conducting free, fair and credible local council elections in states under its control.
We all know that the APC is mortally afraid of going into any election, particularly at the grassroots, as Nigerians across board are bitter with them for their deceit and the wrecking of our once robust economy.
Nigerians are also at pains over the poor welfare direction of the ruling party which has resulted in the penetrating hardship now being suffered under the APC controlled Federal Government misrule.
The APC is petrified because Nigerians have renewed their interest in the PDP as the only genuine people-oriented party.
This new thinking among Nigerians has been clearly demonstrated with PDP’s sweeping victory in Osun senatorial bye election as well as the recent local council polls in Ekiti and Delta states.
Today, the APC knows it cannot go back to the same electorate it scammed in 2015 with lies and empty promises; promises of bogus jobs, monthly stipends, free meals, free houses, reduction of fuel price, bringing the dollar to the same value with the naira and other phantom promises.
The APC knows it cannot face the more than 8 million Nigerians it has rendered jobless with its reckless policies. They know that judgment awaits them from thousands of workers who were unjustly sacked in the states where APC governors rule, particularly Kogi and Kaduna.
The APC cannot also return to the states where countless helpless families' breadwinners painfully paid the supreme price due to untold hardship under their misrule.
The party also knows it cannot return to the families of those slaughtered in Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Borno and other parts of the country by marauders encouraged and emboldened by the indifference of the Federal Government and the unguarded comments from unpatriotic Presidential aides.
That is why instead of facing the people, APC governors, who are now scared stiff of the looming disgrace awaiting them, are busy running to Abuja for help, forgetting that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Presidency will also face an inevitable crushing defeat in 2019.
The fact is that Nigerians now know the difference between the anti-people, deceitful and inept APC and the democratic, development-driven PDP which, in its 16 years in power, led the nation to economic boom, cleared huge foreign debts, repositioned the banking sector, championed the telecoms revolution we all now enjoy, revamped the railways, built new universities, reformed the ports, facilitated unprecedented growth in small and medium enterprises and placed the nation as major global investment destination.
The landslide victories of the PDP in the recent elections are therefore incontrovertible response by the people not only to the achievements of our government in the states but also to the ideological disposition of the PDP as one genuine democratic platform where all Nigerians are free to socially express, politically aspire and economically flourish.
Our advice to the APC now is that they should stop deluding themselves with the electoral happenstance they earned by lies and propaganda in 2015 as Nigerians have now reconnected with their original political platform, the PDP, to move the nation forward come 2019.
