addictiv: I recieved my power banks today. I ordered for 10 pieces of 12000mah but to my surprise the seller sent 7 pieces of 12000mah and 3 pieces of 20000mah. Though I plan to buy more as this ones are already sold out, Is this a ploy by the seller to attract me and get me scammed when I order for more? Besides I have not yet informed him about it.

I have read all your experiences, am here to share mine.
Last 3months I ordered 60 pieces of men's steel watches and I was slammed a custom duty of N25000, because of the fear of customs confisticating my goods, I paid.
Now I want to import 15 laptops using DHL, and I am scared of using DHL because they might give an outrageous custom duty. And I am also afraid of thirdparty shipping coy because they own fees self is too much and they calculate dollar for you at N167 per $.
If you know a way can use DHL and still avoid unreasonable duties, please be free to leave your replies.

My brother, I had not read your post when I responded to this funny allegation. But I've sent him a response to show him he was mistaken. I'm really surprised that most people do not think very well before posting on Nairaland. But I put it all to the fact that these are young and mostly unemployed or underemployed youth suffering from youthful exuberance. The other time, I posted an advert in the Job/Vacancy section and a young girl (for that is what she is), much younger than my first daughter, called me a scammer. I had to visit everyone of the threads she posted in before she retracted her libelous statements. People are taking the liberty of online forums to insult others. That is not just fair. We must always do a thorough investigation before posting any allegation capable of tarnishing other people's image. I rest my case.

Sorry for replying late. I was at a Church programme. It is refurbished. Refurbished are better than preowned because it has been restored to nearly its original state. Except for if I tell anyone its not new, people do't know. And the landing cost is N42000. The configuration is high: 320GB, 3Gb RAm Dual Core, 16" screen plus its HP.

What I did was to pay 70% of the cost into OandOgadgets account at First Bank and when it arrived, I paid the balance. As I stay outside Lagos, I paid N3k to get it sent to me which to me is a fair price because it will cost about that amount to come to pick it up personally in Lagos plus all the risk and stress. N1000 delivery within Lagos is not too bad either. If you choose to go to their office, you may end up spending more than that.

But they are very reliable and fast. I placed the order on 30th October and received my laptop on 14th November.
