Deckline:Why are you losing hope so early? I thought you said that you will complain to the kofa account administration? You never can tell, it may bear fruit. Give it a try and pray pls. |
Kenerd:Oh yes. I remember on page 3 of this thread. But she initially wrote that she sat for her putme when she asked the question only to say later that she was asking the question in respect of her brother. I may be wrong, but I don't believe her. Did you also notice that she stopped contributing since then but I see her among those viewing the thread even up till yrsterday |
Kenerd:Hmmmmmmmm. I remember that lizzdonal who claimed to have gotten the highest screening score but was doubted by many people. She said she was offered admission to read medicine but I was suprised to see her asking questions this year about this year's admission. When she was spotted by someone who knew her on this thread, and reminded that she said she was offered admission last year, she cleverly said she was making enquiries in respect of her brother and since then, she stopped commenting nor asking questions BUT she probably does not know that I see her many times viewing the thread just as she did yesterday |
Nicoletheo:If only you can read from page 1 to about page 300 or more, you will become a master of it and you are not likely to ask any question again |
Grantosa:I share same thought with you and that's why I would have loved jamb to guide them in the criteria they use and recommend a uniform method of grading for all institutions but the universities don't want that and they have been allowed to do as they wish which to me is very unfortunate. Last year's jamb recommended mode of grading the utme results was very good but this AAU ''s 1-80=10marks; 81-160=20marks; 161-240=30marks; 241-320=40marks; & 321-400=50marks is terribly bad and awkward |

Deckline. I see you viewing o |
Kenerd:I hope they won't change it to Law o cause English Language is my preferred course of study |
Kenerd:English Language with 75% kofa account score |
opomulero:I can't see any confusion in there. I guess it was at the primary market. If so you can never get 256 or 265 tenor there and it's there that it's NTB182DAYS_AUCTION. Don't allow the trBP265 before it to cause any confusion it's just their internal code. If still in doubt, go to the branch where you made the transaction to ask for your hard copy |
Kenerd:Are saying that is still "proposed"? If yes, then why is it being referred to as "aau official cut off marks"? Hmmmmmm, confusion here and there A A U!!!! |
http://aauxclusive.com/breaking-news-ambrose-alli-university-official-cut-off-markcheck-yours-here/ I got the above from aauexclusive.com which is an AAU online platform uploaded today. It's appearing that the cut off marks are real though the university is yet to confirm it officially |
Deckline:Pls give me an update on the outcome. I wish you the very best of luck. |
Deckline:I have given you an example based on the data you presented to me and I have also given you how to calculate it. So I expect that you should be able to arrive at his points. But for the last time, his score should be 30+17+16=63 and mind you there is nothing before me to prove that the informations you have given me about the guy is nothing but the truth |
atigro:It's both personal and standard practice in financial matters unless otherwise stated |
atigro:Yes. The rates are always tied to 364days. You probably erroneously thought the 15.8% is for the 92days. Sorry it's ALWAYS tied to 364days. ![]() |
megacontrol:Yes you are correct with very slight error. The slight error is that it should be 92days/364days instead of 365days but that is a very insignificant difference to me |
Deckline:Based on your "guess" as it appears you are not sure of your score over 30 in the screening test, your kofa account should read::21+40+13= 74%. If you are sure of the screening test score as 21 and your kofa account reads less, then complain to kofa office |
Deckline:I got it from a very reliable source and believe it because when I applied it, it tallied with my kofa account score of 75%. Apply it to yours using what you actually scored in the ptume out of the 30 marks and not the % you allegedly saw after the test and see what it gives you. If it does not give you that, then find a way of complaining to the office as they are not immune from mistakes too and PLS be courageous and truthful enough to tell me your findings after the computations |
Do you know that University of Ibadan as far as I know for 2013, 2014, & 2015 except 2016 when there was no putme gave admissions based ONLY on their putme scores irrespective of your utme and O-level results as long as you had satisfied their basic requirements of 5 credits of relevant subjects at one sitting, and a utme scores of at least 200marks because they believe more in the ptume exams conducted by them? If you doubt me, ask those who were admitted then. So, every university has the right to use whatever method they like or believe on except when directed to do otherwise by Government as it happened last year. |
Deckline:The problem is that you don't seem to know how everything was calculated. 1.Screening was over 30marks; 2.Utme was over 50 as follows: 1-80 (10marks) 81-160 (20marks) 161-240(30marks) 241-320 (40marks) 321-400 (50marks) 3.o-level results was 20marks as follows: A(4marks) Bs(3marks) Cs(2marks) P7 (1mark). AAU never used putme over 100 but 30 and A was never scored as 6 but 4 as i have explained above. So your quarell arose from the misconceptions of the way the kofa account was arrived at. At any rate, you are quite entitled to whatever opinion you have and it's all because the alleged cut off marks which I also find difficult to believe doesn't favour you. Don't worry and don't lose hope yet cause God is on the throne. The only thing I quarrel with in the case of AAU, is that they do not make their method of scoring open so that everybody would know how they arrived at their respective kofa scores instead of speculating and leaving room for suspicion of corrupt practice's. They should be very open to redeem their image |
Kemade2007:Good. Congratulations!!! |
atigro:Very good to me |
Grantosa:Was it only utme score they considered in arriving at the kofa account score? Get it right pls that the kofa account score is not screening score but combinations of screening; utme & o level scores. So it's wrong of anyone to say that they are considering people with lower utme scores and leaving out those who scored higher in utme as if that was the only criteria used. Why won't they consider them if they have better o level results and screening scores? |
dotcomnamename:You need to have either of the two or both if you Like |
In determining whether a secondary market is good or bad, the considerations are the prevailing Primary market rates and the available secondary market offers and tenor. No consideration is given to when or the rate at which the seller bought it. That's why most people lose when they decide to sell off and others even gain like in the case of the guy who bought at 17% about 120days ago and sold at 15.4%. If the guy who sold the 338day tenor had no buyer, he would have been forced to go up to even 16% or more but lucky he was that he got someone to buy for 14%. However, I do appreciate that @emmanuelewumi was trying to avoid discouraging @Mascotlawman because ot can not be reversed but I would not do that so that he too can learn from that mistake. |
emmanuelewumi:Even 24days ago, at the Primary market was higher than 15.7%. Even if it was 15% , the question was "is it a good buy? And the answer is simply NO because people got higher rates even for 200+ tenors |
Mascotlawman:If i may say my opinion about above, it's not a good buy at all as people have been getting better rates even on very short tenors and next week auction for both 182 and 364days tenors are even not likely to be that low. To me, it's not a good buy I am sorry to say and my you, it's only my opinion |
Kenerd:Although this is said to be "Proposed" cut off mark, it doesn't look authentic to me cause it's not on a letter headed paper nor signed by anyone. I prefer to call it "Speculated cut off marks" Wr should not stress ourselves up as in a matter of few days, the truth shall be unveiled and we shall all see it on their website as a bulletin |
daywalker12911:Can you pls share what the alternative was with us? I mean the detals |
opomulero:Are you very sure that above which I know to be CBN stop rates are also the successful bid rates of GTB Sir? |
henrinco:At which bank pls? Does anyone know if Stanbic was successful last Wednesday for 182 & 364days tenors? |
