Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and erstwhile Senator, Chief Barnabas Gemade has returned back to the ruling All Progressives Congress after a brief romance with the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
He defeated former Governor Gabriel Suswam in the 2015 senatorial elections before he was thrown out of the Red Chambers by Suswam.
He expressed his profound gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator George Akume and the Acting National Chairman of the party and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni for his home coming which was described by the party stakeholders as long overdue.
The welcoming back to the party attracted the criticism of the PDP who wondered why the state party leader, George Akume was absent at the ceremony alluding to an insinuation that he is now a paper weight politician who is out of touch with the new realities in the state politics.

The housemates have spent two weeks and the reality of the inevitability of the eviction has reared its big head.

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido is the first Nigerian artiste to have his album streamed over a billion times.
This feat was shared on twitter by UK based Columbia records where he was highly commended for the achievement.
The album was released on 22nd November 2019 and that was Davido’s second studio album.

Pastor Humble Okoro, a Nigerian based pastor has reburied the murdered George Floyd in Mbaise, Imo State after he claimed that his ancestors hailed from the area.
Floyd was killed by Caucasian cop, Derek Chauvin on the 25th of May and was buried in Houston, Texas on the 9th of June.
Pastor Okoro gave the late bouncer the Igbo name of Obinna and was quoted to have said:
“I have traced the ancestral root of George Obinna Floyd to Umuoffor kindred in Obokwu obibi Aboh Mbaise Imo State and I feel so happy now that we have reburied him alongside with his ancestors.”

The honourable minister for youths and sports, Sunday Dare has awarded a scholarship to Kehinde Esther after a video of her repairing a forklift at the Classic Bonded Terminal in Okota, Lagos.
This video was shared by twitter user, @thepreciousada who said on twitter:”My dad saw this talented girl at work today repairing a forklift at 17 years old, she wants to study engineering and grow her expertise. He asked me to post this video so she could get some sort of assistance or guidance.”

Prince, a friend of Ozo ‘stabbed him in the back’ by expressing his interest in Nengi while talking in the yard.

Last year May, Ikeji published a story about him that his girlfriend, Latereece was expecting a set of twins in faraway United States of America. She described the lady as his wife.

Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu claimed that American superstar artiste, Kanye West reached out to Davido and Wizkid to support his now aborted presidential ambition.
Maduagwu said that he appealed to them to use their huge influence o social media to support his bid to sit in the White House as the second black man after the legendary Barack Obama.

Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Titus Uba, his son, member representing Kwande East State constituency, Tertsea Gbisea are among the 66 people, who tested positive for COVID-19 in the State.
In separate statements issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker and Chairman, Committee on Information and Orientation of the State Assembly, Lubem Tiav and Tertsea Gbisea respectively, the affected lawmakers have gone into self-isolation.
The statement read: “Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly Titus Uba received his COVID-19 results on Saturday and tested positive. All the speaker’s household whose samples were tested for the dreaded disease came out negative except the speaker and his last son.
“According to the results, he is asymptomatic but stable, hale and hearty, in high spirit and has since commenced full treatment in self-isolation according to the protocol and advice of medical professionals.”

The implication of waiting is the reality of what just happened in the life of one of Nigeria's finest Afro pop singer Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D who is now a member of One of Nigeria's reknowned record label, Davido Music World (DMW). The news was received with outmost joy today from fans all over, giving all the praises to Davido. Pictorial evidences featured Davido, May D himself and some other members of the label in a picture.
May D was formally signed to the defunct Psquare record label "Square records" in 2011 and he exited same a year after. In 2012 it was announced that the singer was no longer with the label. Nobody really knew exactly what happened, but rumours had it that May D wasn't treated well, and was denied a lot of things he was entitled to as a member of the label.
He had Ile Ijo, you gat me high, to his credit. He was also on the remix of "Chop my money" alongside Akon and Psquare.
However, earlier this year when another former member of the same record label, Cynthia Morgan's news of depression got out, May D contributed and talked about his own experiences in corroboration to Cynthia Morgan's. He mentioned that at the time he was with the record label, releasing songs as a well known artiste, he was sleeping on the floor in a boys quarters. He also mentioned that, as soon as you leave the label, all your royalties would be stripped off you, this also agrees with Cynthia Morgan who had to change her stage name which also happens to be her birth name upon the termination of her contract.
Davido has always been known to help young people grow. Recall that he quickly did a song with Lyta titled Monalisa upon the later's disagreement with his former label which led to his exit. It was Lyta, now it is May D. May D took to social media to make the announcement by writing, “My New Family, I’m So Excited! PROBLEM #DMW #30BG #CONFAMENT ��� @davidoofficial" on his twitter page.
The news has since gathered a lot of praises and reactions from social media users, praising Davido for doing it once again.

An erstwhile Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Zakawanu Garuba has passed on. He died of an undisclosed ailment this morning in an Abuja clinic.
Born on 23 August 1965, in Akpekpe community, Auchi, in Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, Garuba studied Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and was called to Bar in 1990.
He was elected into the Edo State House of Assembly in 2003, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.
While in the House, he served as chairman of the House committee on judiciary, human rights, and legal matters.
He was elected Speaker in 2007.
