Former Super Eagles talisman and striker, Odion Ighalo is fifth in the scoring sheet of the English Premier League despite joining in January this year.
The China Super League’s Shanghai Shenhua player on loan till January 31, 2021 at Old Trafford, bagged five goals in 19 matches of which only five were starts.
Seventeen of United’s no.9’s efforts came in the Premier League, with his total augmented by four goals in the Europa League and one each in the FA and Carabao Cups.

Popular female artiste Simi and wife of Adekunle Gold has queried the reason behind formal education opining that it is a complete waste of time as the knowledge gained from it is hardly used in the real world.
She took to social media where she wrote: “educational system is so shit. most of us can’t even remember most of what we were taught in all the many years we spent in school. People have potential and talent not tapped into because it’s not prestigious enough. They spend years learning something they don’t care about.
“Forget everything right after after and end up doing something else with their lives. What’s the point then? who did this to us?”

While in the garden yesterday night, Laycon brought up the issue of his row with Erica to fellow housemate Wathoni.
The partly Kenyan Wathoni would not hear of Erica as she recalled the way and manner Erica mentioned her son to her which was still hurting.
Laycon asked her if Erica apologized to her and Wathoni said no and that even if she did, it should be to her son who was innocent and not her. She also revealed that Nengi and Ozo criticized her for the needless insults.

John Mikel Obi’s dream of still playing for England made him reject an offer from a Russian club, Krylia Sovetov.
According to Championat.com, the former Nigerian defensive midfielder was previously contacted by Krylia Sovetov and offered a salary of $1.2 million per season but he rejected the offer.
Mikel who is a former Chelsea legend has a Russian partner, Olga Diyachenko, and the couple have two twin daughters.
BBC Sports reported at the weekend that The Potters are on the brink of confirming the signing of Mikel on a one-year deal.
In March, the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner mutually terminated his contract with Trabzonspor and since then, he has been linked with possible moves to teams in Italy, Brazil and England.

Popular artiste Davido is back on twitter after over three months of being absent from the micro blogging site as he said he needed some quiet time to sort out some private issues.
He wrote three months ago “If u can’t reach me don’t reach me! I’ll contact u!! All my life I’ve put people before me… I think it’s time to actually live my life and take care of myself,” he wrote.
He added, “I’ve changed my number! I needed some cleansing to do love y’all.”
Many of his fans expressed their joy on the return on the artiste who named himself ‘Omo Baba Olowo.’

Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN) has insisted that due process was followed in the removal of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe as the institution’s Vice-Chancellor.
Prof. Ogundipe was appointed as the University’s VC in November 2017 and his removal was on the grounds of financial impropriety and abuse of office.
Babalakin was quoted to have said on the crisis:
“The confusion is that most people don’t how governing council operates. There was full compliance of the law in the removal of Prof Ogundipe.
The issue has been lingering on for a long time. Series of attempt were made to reconcile but the VC was not forthcoming… a focal minority, who are benefiting from the corruption in UNILAG which has become cultural.
Due process was followed in the removal of Ogundipe. After the council committee indicted the VC, he wrote his defence in May and spoke for one hour. His sack was done in accordance with UNILAG law.
The votes were counted with each council members’ comments. Everyone voted, they didn’t just vote but they made comments and I read out all the comments.
Go and read the law, what the law said is that when a Vice Chancellor is removed and you have a complaint, you will write an appeal to the visitor. He cannot on his own, declare that he has not been removed as Ogundipe has done. He cannot on his own confront his employers. In law, he has resigned because if you challenge your employer and you are still in his employment, you have actually left.
“The weakness of Ogundipe is that his legal advisers have not done a very thorough job. There is no stalemate and there is no chaos in the university because the law would take its course. It is not in the place of the removed VC to say he has not been removed. He cannot be a judge in his own court.
“He cannot on his own declare that he has not been removed. He cannot on his own decide to confront his employer.”

Babalakin, a unilag alumnus went on to say:
“Professor Ogundipe has been looting the university and looting it recklessly, that’s the plain truth that we should not hide. There is misappropriation and there is direct looting of the university. All attempts were made to put an end to this.
The former VC spent N49 million renovating his house. Under the process, this has to be done with approval from the council, he sought no approval. To cover-up, he gave the bursar N41 million to renovate his official residence. The official residence of the bursar can be built for N41 million from scratch, this was what was spent on renovation.”

Jonathan David, the new striker at Lille has admitted that it will be nearly impossible to fit into the shoes of the departed Victor Osimhen who has moved to Napoli.
The Canadian is expected to fill the void left behind by Osimhen, who scored 18 goals in 34 games for Lille last season, but David, in an interview with Francebleu, said the task would be a difficult one.
Osimhen joined Napoli on a five-year deal in a record €81m, additional bonuses inclusive, in July. David was quoted to have said:
“It will not be easy to succeed Victor Osimhen and his 13 goals last season in the league,” David, who scored 23 goals in 40 games last season, was quoted as saying by Francebleu.
“We have a somewhat similar course. Victor came from Belgium, when he joined Lille and this is also my case.
“He is an exceptional player. He proved it last season, but we are players with very different profiles. So everyone will have their own path.”

Authentic reports have it that Valencia plans to put up all its players for sale so as to shore up its finances badly hit by the corona virus.
Ferran Torres, a winger left the club for Manchester City in a 37 million euros deal and many other players are expected to follow his footsteps.
New boss Javi Gracia, who was given the job at the end of July, is said by Marcato have been told that any of his players could be sold.

Wikipedia – the world’s largest online encyclopaedia recently listed Nigeria as one of the world’s failed states.
It opined that the country has failed to meet its basic obligations to the citizens which was the reason why she made the list.

Dorathy feels that Ozo’s loyalty doesn’t lie with her and has recently told him off.

Erica, the current Head of House had a row with Lucy during their Guinness Photo Challenge.
The house was divided into Team Hops and Team Barley to do the photo challenge sponsored by drinks giant, Guinness.
When in the arena taking photographs, Erica and Lucy were both heard exchanging words with Erica saying that Lucy was very annoying.

The knowledge of such a magnificent house is enough to make Erica fall in love with him as no woman wants to go through hardship if it can be avoided.

Head of House Erica disclosed to Tolanibaj that she didn’t have sex with Kiddwaya because of the presence of the cameras all around the house.
She was quoted to have said:

It will be recalled that his father just recovered from the dreaded viral disease.
Babajide is the Secretary of the Response Fund Committee on COVID-19 set up by the Ondo State government. He has gone into self isolation.

Erstwhile Minister for Transport and Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Maduekwe recently said that it was so unfortunate that internet fraudsters a.k.a yahoo boys are now the new role models for the Nigerian youths.
She fled the country to the United Kingdom in 2015 as she allegedly embezzled billions of dollars while she held sway as Petroleum Minister for five years under the Presidency of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
She was quoted to have said: “The ones that have swag, the Yahoo Yahoo boys as my son would say; these in short, are the role models they are looking at. These are the ones that reinforce negative societal norms and values.
This is a travesty of an unfolding tragedy for us. Why have I spent time talking about fatherless homes and the impact it has on our children? The truth of the matter is that an irresponsible boy tends to become an irresponsible man and it is therefore a vicious cycle. If you plant yam, you cannot harvest plantain.”

She urged the Nigerian youths to imbibe the culture of hardwork as that was the only pathway to success.

Senator Buruji Kashamu, a former member of the Nigerian Senate has passed on due to covid 19 complications.
This was announced on twitter by his former colleague, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce. The tweet read:
“I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID 19.. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.”
The deceased Senator attempted to be the Governor of Ogun State but lost the election to the current incumbent, Chief Dapo Abiodun.

Housemate Erica has disclosed that she wouldn’t date Laycon even if Kiddwaya never crossed her path.
She revealed this in a heart to heart chat with Tolanibaj where she said that she liked Kiddwaya but her feelings for him was just physical and nothing intimate.
Tolanibaj then mentioned Laycon to her but she said she wouldn’t still date him and was sorry that her actions inadvertently hurt him.

The current Head of House, Ozo lost his temper when he blasted Prince for his lacklustre attitude towards the wager task.

Italian based football club, Napoli has released a 23 man list of players who will be playing in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
However, newly signed Osimhen was not named in the squad.
According to the list announced by Uefa, Senegal international Koulibaly is the only African star who made the club’s 23-man squad.
This is surprising as Napoli spent about $80 million on his signing from French club, Lille.

President Muhammadu Buhari is at the moment presiding over the Security Council meeting.
The meeting, holding inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, also has Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in attendance.
All service chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police are attending the meeting.
Others are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; heads of the Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency; Ministers of Justice, Police Affairs, Defence and Interior among others.

It was with mixed reactions last week as the world welcomed the death of Kodak film in the scheme of anything digital camera, photographic films as it transitioned into a pharmaceutical company. I am sure for the younger generation who grew up with the embrace of technology will not have any inclination on what this brand is all about. I am equally sure if they are told that there was a time we would put money together just to buy a film for our digital cameras and then walk down to the printing shop with the negatives just to have a look at our pictures.
To most of us born in the 70s, 80s & 90s, the brand Kodak wasn’t just about films but it was woven into our childhood experience. In fact, precious memories were held close to our hearts with just a click from the lens of a digital camera powered by a film from Kodak. To explore the power of this brand, one will need to trace it beginnings and eventual demise.
According to Wikipedia, the company was founded by George Eastman in 1888. Kodak’s business model was hinged on selling inexpensive cameras and making large margins from consumables – film, chemicals, and paper. As late as 1976, Kodak commanded 90% of film sales and 85% of camera sales in the U.S. In 1975, Kodak developed and patented the first handheld digital camera. In the early 80s, Kodak face a fierce rival in Fujifilms, a Japanese brand that stole 17% of the brand’s share in the US market. A major factor that eventually became the down fall of Kodak was that it got complacent and wasn’t quick to adapt to change or the changing times!
As the brand on one hand fights of competition in the market, on the other, it had changing consumption habits and technology to deal with. In fact by early 2000, the brand was struggling to catch up with the incursion of mobile phones and the impact of the internet of things. As technology advanced, the more the brand fell behind in catching up with the changing times. People began to lean towards mobile phones, the internet and gradually abandoned the use of digital cameras. I believe we can all attest to the fact that the advent of technology and the internet has really disrupted everything we all grew up with. I remember, in the late 90s and early 2000, there was a huge population of business centers, computer schools, even things like wall clocks, wristwatches were an item in those days. However, today, technology has disrupted and killed these businesses and brands with just a simple click on a mobile phone.
So, with the advance of technology, the fate of Kodak films was decided. As time went by, the brand tried everything possible to stay afloat against the onslaught of technology by shifting its business strategy away from the production of films to inks for printers. However, despite the efforts to turn around the fortunes of the brand, by 2012 Kodak filled for bankruptcy and by 2015 the business was broken into five different divisions: Print Systems, Enterprise Inkjet Systems, Micro 3D Printing and Packing, Software and Solutions, and Consumer & Film.
Well fast forward to 2020, along came covid-19 with its death blow on everything life and business. Today as we speak, the world is frantically looking for a lasting solution or cure to the growing impact of Covid-19. Nations are practically outdoing doing themselves to be the first to discover the vaccine for this dreaded disease. In fact, pharmaceutical companies and universities all over the world are in search of the solution to Covid-19. Just as I predicted last, pharmaceuticals will be with us for a very long time. Little wonder, President Donald Trump last week decided to resurrect Kodak with the sum of $765 Million to transition the brand away from its former ways of camera film production to a pharmaceutical company.
As I said, last week, while some people wail and cry under the growing impact of Covid-19, others are seeing opportunities in the midst of it all; while others like Kodak are using this dark times to metamorphose into a brand that will be on demand as long as time lasts. So Covid-19’s impact whether good or bad, depends on the side of the fence you are sitting. And to Kodak I say, our memories are now save with technology but we owe our lives to you now as we anticipate a lasting solution to Covid-19 from you and to whatever form of disease the future hold in store!

Fans have blasted Eric for not giving a hoot about his ‘lover’s’ Lilo’s eviction and was seen to be eating indomie noodles barely an hour after she was evicted.
They claimed that he had moved on so easily without any emotional attachment to his lover.
Fans recalled that when Bambam of the Big Brother Season Three was evicted, her lover now her husband, Teddy A cried his eyes out.
