Madness is when you think voting for Buhari will automatically give you 24/7 hour electricity (Let there be light, and there was light)
Madness is when you think voting for Buhari will land you a job in Shell
Madness is when you think voting for Buhari will eradicate your personal & family problems.

Why not leave semantics? Corruption and stealing, even if we agree they aren't the same, could a president of a country like Nigeria afford to make such statement? And stealing is a form of corruption, there are other forms of corruption, yes, but to insist and keep insisting that stealing is not corruption is standing logic on its head. Go after them, either they are corrupt or them be thieves, just do your own leave semantics for the lawyers! |

Gabbiddo: My brother be informed that AIG Mbu is a public servant, whoever emerges has nothing to do with him and moreso he can not be dismissed on the account of carrying out his lawful duties or retired before his time for any flimsy reason. The worst you can do to him is relieve him of sensitive duties and when he is ready to retire he leaves peacefully. Am a little bit surprised at peoples comment here. I have come to realize that a lot of people make their deductions on issues from other peoples views without carrying out proper verification. The aig is a public servant, wheather he is a partisan politician or not the fact that he has been commissioned to serve his nation will always overide everyother thing, for this reason i would say it was outerly rude on the part of the LCC staff to demand toll from him after seeing his convoy and offcourse the way he was treated resulted to counter reaction. Lets be factual in our judgement for once and eschew making statements propelled by political sentiment. Wheather APC members like it or not MBU is in lagos for real and the police duty must be done. I suggest they allow him do his job if not there will be trouble because MBU is a detailed man who acts in accordance with the dictates of the law. and yet he undermined the functioning of a State governor who by law is the chief security of the state? This bloke had the temerity to say he outlawed demonstration in Abuja when by law it's the right of every Nigerians to demonstrate peacefully about anything they feel aggrieved about? I bet you don't even know what a "dictates of the law" is. |

kallmemrB: "The police chief had last week ordered the detention of some LCC officials and policemen attached to the company after his convoy of six vehicles was asked to pay toll fees."
I don't really know what transpired here but if senior military officers do pay this toll fees then there's nothing wrong if he's ask to pay
"The LCC official was said to have retorted: “Who is the AIG? He should follow procedure and pay the toll."----this statement here is kinda rude so he shouldn't pay toll because he's the AIG of police? Is he bigger than Lagos state? The law of Lagos state says you have to pay a toll to ply that road, unless you saying he's above the law? |

elklehamite: Re: US Condemns Postponement Of Nigeria’s Elections by elklehamite ( m): 1:44pm The postponement of election in our country Nigeria is purely our own internal affairs and as such US and countries of d world have no biz as far as we are sovereign nation. In fact, US have no reason to be disappointed, or better still they (US) will continue to be disappointed cuz we will continue to do things in our own way and as it suits us. US refused to sell weapons to Nigeria to prosecute war against terrorism under the pretends of human rights, they stopped patronizing in the purchase of Nigerian oil all because they see Nigeria as potential rival in African continent. They are sponsoring Boko Haram in Nigeria as a away to contain the rivalry of Nigeria against the US using their CIA & refusal of sales of weapon. US will fail in their plans to cause the dismemberment of Nigeria nation because God is on the side of Nigeria. God will continue to frustrate US and some Nigerian elements like,Oby,Ameachi & co whom out of poverty of their brains & minds, selfishness and ego, have made themselves available to be used by US forces against their own country. The postponement of the said ELECTION from February to March & April does not change the handing over date,so how does it affect our democracy? After all ,previous elections were conducted in April,so what is our stress now? Ameachi, out of his usual arrogant, pomposity, ego & immaturity had said will take to the street to protest the postponement of the election,we are waiting and watching. Security of lives & properties is not something to toy with, cuz during and after election there are bound to be crises that could lead to destruction of lives & properties, so why should any man with his right frame of mind allow election to go on or take place without security? This singular action of Jega has proofed the stuff he is made of. There are eggs and there are eggs. ( Modify ) ( Quote ) ( Report) ( Share See Nigeria as rival? Sponsor boko Haram? duh, Nigeria cannot even claim to be rival to south Africa. |

frodobee: I was thinking you will have a better reply/name not branding Jega clueless, makes me feel like wanting to join the cult of the clueless. Secondly I wish to point out this fact, the case of the 11 NYSC members murdered in cold blood at Kano(non BokoHaram zone). They died right inside a police station. Yes, inside a police station, killed by people whose grouse/anger is that their candidate lost an election. If the military was their will it have happened? They were somebody's brother, sister, son and daughterT(definitely not yours). Added were also properties, shops looted and burnt in the resulting chaos. Remember, the polity was not as heated as it is today. Remember, prophecies and the doom and the statements being paraded today were not there in 2011 yet innocent lives were lost. Pls, in the spirit of patriotism let's shun our political inclination sometimes and be our brothers keeper. Let's remember these corp members and adhoc staff who will be doing these job, most of whom are your followers here on NL, people who hold you and your opinion in high esteem but who doesn't understand the sacrifices this prosponement entails. Also on a diff note. Can you pls soft pedal on name-calling. I mean stuff like calling people be clueless or all those despiteful names. Its turning a brand on you and you do not deserve that. Thank you. So you don't think the postponement has got to do with the reality on ground, that some people aren't getting what they expected? I wish I could be as trusting as you are, because to me the postponement bears the imprimatur of the president and PDP. |

They ain't got no stranglehold on me, so I'm not obligated to obey them. So if they like they endorse anyone they want I'm not obligated to obey. Simple. |

Kentrasso: This is wrong. The media and Op is twisting his words. ... Everybody knows that buhari and APC has always been seen as the party with the moslem majority meaning when you look at things from a religious angle APC leads in the north with islamic motivation.
Sambo is trying to neutralise this notion by saying PDP is not anti-islamic at all.
I don't see anything wrong with what he said apart from the fact that its a brillant political move, because nigerians are like that, very sentimental and moved by religious talks. What sambo has done is balance things in the mind of northerners. If they want to vote Buhari because he's muslim, they can as well consider Jonathan because he has several muslim personnel in his cabinet how can you reason like this when it the same time PDP that started using religion, I remember Femi fani-Kayode saying he left APC because of religion! With all crisis religions has caused Nigeria, and still causing Nigeria, you don't think it's dangerous for a sitting vice president to campaign along them lines? |
