Politics / If Dangote And Otedola Visit Tinubu - Pitobi Supporters Will Call Them Hungry! by TooNoisy(f): 6:11pm On Jun 29, 2022
We saw the video from Yoruba actors today endorsing Tinubu. The usual reaction from Peter Obi supporters is that they are all hungry.

Two months ago, Jay-Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo led former super Eagles stars to visit Tinubu. They called them hungry as well. Abeg, how many of una rich like Okocha or Kanu? I guess if Dangote and Otedola visit Tinubu, IPOB will say they are after their pockets. Or are Okocha and Kanu tribalists too for supporting Tinubu. Even Mr Ibu and Harry B are supporting Tinubu.

For you information, Tinubu has been winning elections since 1991. When he was voted in as senator, he recorded over 300k votes which was a record for a National Assembly election at the time. He has been winning ever since.

Mentor and Protege.

Fashola is eternally grateful to Tinubu. Fashola met Tinubu while he was in the university. He was best friends to one of Tinubu’s nephews and that was how the relationship started.

When Tinubu became Governor, he made Fashola Chief of Staff in his second term. Fashola learnt governance from Tinubu. And Tinubu single-handedly made Fashola governor. And Tinubu guided and supported Fashola to ensure Fashola excelled.

One of the biggest qualities of a leader is to find and nurture talent. No other leader comes close to Tinubu when it comes to finding and developing talent. He has brought in over 100 men/women into leadership and governance in Nigeria.

Honestly Nigeria should go back to the parliamentary system if government. This presidential system is just too expensive to maintain. Cost of governance is just too high.

Igbo Youths meeting in Jos. I am sure 90% of the people are Igbo. Obi will not get 25% is any northern state.

Tinubu may still chose Plateau Governor as running mate and that will be 90% votes for Jagaban. Even if he doesn't, Tinubu will win 70% of Plateau.

We urge all Peter Obi supporters to continue the cyberbullying, insults and intolerance. You are only showing the true colours of the campaign - an Igbo presidency project with IPOB leading the propaganda. How come Nigeria is no longer a zoo. Why are you no longer interested in referendum. No more Biafra?

You guys are unable to name any tangible achievements of Peter Obi in 8 years as Anambra governor, so you have resort to bullying and insults. The only achievement he had in 8 years is building a secretariat. And your excuse for his failure is that Anambra is not the capital. Peter Obi should go and learn from Donald Duke who transformed Cross Rivers and made it a tourism Haven. Last I checked, Cross Rivers was not the capital and he had about the same resources as Peter Obi.

You guys don't have any other options apart from cyberbullying, threats, insults and aggression because Peter Obi has no record to run on. He had no achievements in Anambra. Mr. HIM TU LIE of China.

Anyway, we know he has inherited Simon Ekpa's followers but they ain't enough to make him president.

According to the link you shared, Did peter obi replied him or not? What was Obiano response?

Another set of silly lies. Go and check how Nigerian Breweries and Guiness have performed in the same period. They have both done way better than International Breweries. You just believe Obi's lies because you are blinded by tribe. It was a horrible investment and that is a fact.

Peter Obi replied Obiano with claims. Just the same was he claimed he never said the investment in International Breweries was worth $100million. He said it must have come from one youth. But we both saw that he said it twice.

I guess Peter Obi is your new Nnamdi Kanu. He is the new Supreme Leader

Before you referred to me as ipob or whatever you are trying to do, I am not an easterner.. So mind the way you refer to everyone you see supporting peter obi..

As old as you are and if you are not daft, you should know that arguing based on a value of an investment of a politician in order to paint him bad(more over the investment is really a good one as it is showing us there is 4.7% gains on it) all because he quoted a wrong figure. Whereas we have politicians who are milking us dry and are not investing for the future of this nation, yet you leave them and start attacking someone who did an investment for the future of His state..

If the administration you are supporting was perfect enough to fulfil their lies.. You wouldn't be jobless here attacking someone with all hate.

Before I pen down.. You should go back and verify all those allegations and see where PO cleared himself. They are all in the first link you shared..

So the investment is a good one because it has gone up 4.7% in ten years. And this is a naira investment. Do you know what inflation has been in the last 10 years. Do you know how the Nigerian stock market has performed in 10 years. If someone told you to invest in a business and you will only get 4.7% return after 10 years, will you do it. And this is even in naira.

I never accused Peter Obi. It had got nothing to do with me. Peter Obi's former good friend Willy Obiano did. This was the man Peter Obi trusted so much, that he handed over Anambra to. This was the man supposed to cover for Peter Obi's mess and Peter Obi's lies. But when pressure came on Obiano, he had to tell the truth. When people started expecting alot from Obiano, he had to tell the whole world the truth. That he was only covering up for Peter Obi, and that Obi left 185billion naira debt. Obiano also needed to save himself rather than continue to cover up for Obi.

This is not about me. It is between Obi and Obiano. Obiano told his own truth, which is the truth. Obi left 185billion of debt. And the stories came out less than 12 months after Peter Obi left office.

Let me bust you bubbles. I clicked the first link you posted as proof and it day bunked all your allegations against him. Just go back and read it again. For the seek of those who didn't click let me show it here

Anybody can bring out these claims at different times. Obiano said 9billion of cash and 26billion near cash. He also explicitly mentioned 185billion of debt. Severall sources have confirmed the debt. All of these happened 12 months after the handover, so it is not related to the current election.

I know it would not change your mind. You are supporting Peter Obi because he is Igbo. He has been caught lying several times but you will continue to support him and that is okay. But we will continue to expose his lies.

grin 1. when did PO claimed $30m investment worth $100m? Was it this year or 2018? What was the value of naira to dollar then? Did he claimed it worth 100m or it was "almost"?

If you can answer these questions correctly to fault PO, TINUBU WILL HAVE MY VOTE.

You should know by now that you are not talking to one of your Illiterate IPOB colleagues. In 2018, the naira was averaging 360 to the dollar black market and 306 officially.

The value of the investment worth 2.240billion was woth $7.3million at the official rate and $6.2milliom at the black market rate. Please tell me how $7.3million is almost $100million. Are you people really this daft?

Like what you just wrote, does it make sense to you at all? No wonder Simon Ekpa can tell you to sit at home and you would obey. If what you just wrote makes sense to you then you will believe anything.

Honestly, I do not know how HE Obi sleeps at night with all these bold faced lies.

For God's sake, it is either he is an outrightly dishonest chronic liar or very horrible with numbers because of his poor arithmetric background that landed him in faculty of Arts Philosophy.

It is completely unacceptable that he keeps lying and being exposed as a chronic liar.

He even lied that since he has withdrawn from his family company (Next, owned by his family, holds significant shareholding in Sabmiller where he invested Anambra money as a sitting governor) where he invested Anambra's billions it means that he did not invest in a company where he owns shares and was benefiting indirectly as a member of his family shocked

He is embarrassing himself, his family and Labour Party with these lies.

The party should rein him in before his lies and the ipob terrorists hailing him completely destroy Labour Party. The party should set up a PR and communications stratey team to guide Obi and help him practice how to think very very well about the consequences of lying and dishing out false claims with numbers before saying or writing. They should get him a professional counsellor/Psychologist to treat and rehabilitate him. Labour Party can not sit on their butts and do nothing about these notorious wrecking balls of lies HE Obi is known for. If Iwuanyawu and Mimiko had destroyed Labour party, he won't find the party alive today

The truth is there that Labour Party was dead before Obi joined. They were not even on the ballot in 2019. Obi is just another politician with no scruples. Someone created a thread asking for Peter Obi's achievements in Anambra and the only thing they could come up with were.

1. Ugorji State Secretariat.
2. He left 75billion
3. Anambra is not capital.

Like a man builds a secretariat- an office for himself and his workers in 8 years and that is his major achievement. Like seriously.

The 75billion claim was debu key by his close friend and associate Willy Obiano

And the fact that Anambra is not capital is not an excuse for non-performance. Donald Duke did an excellent job in Cross Rivers with limited resources. He transformed Cross Rivers into a tourism haven. Cross Rivers was the cleanest state a d arguably safest state and it was not the capital.

No one could mention one tangible achievement of Peter Obi. Except of course the lies he constantly spills.

The reason we are doing this is because Obi asked us to go and verify. We have now verified the following:

1. The famously claimed $30million investment that has turned into $100million was actually $12million that has turned into $5million
2. We have verified that his family business paid nothing to acquire a 5% stake in International Breweries. This was valued at 1billion naira in 2012.
3. He demanded 7.5billion naira to support Willy Obiano’s election
4. While Peter Obi was governor, Anambra State Doctors were on strike for 13 straight months. He did not care and he was not bothered.
5. That Anambra ASUU was on strike for 6 straight months while his children schooled at Universities in England
6. That the infamous Akwuzu SARS killer was his CSO

I know that Peter Obi’s core supporters will always vote him for reasons of tribe. But we have to show this man for whom he really is. Peter Obi is a pathogenic liar who only tries to deceive the gullible.

As we must have all read in recent times, Peter Obi and his supporters have claimed he left 75 billion naira for his successor Willy Obiano when he left office. We all need to first of all understand that Obiano is Obi's friend and Peter Obi installed Obiano as Governor. They had both known each other from their days at Fidelity Bank.

When Obi left, he claimed he left 75billion naira for Obiano his friend; however, Obiano shortly after refuted this claim. Obiano has said Obi only handed over 9billion naira and left about 185billion naira in debt for Obiano. Please note that these two men were very good friends originally and Obi installed Obiano; but 12months after Obiano took over and people started accusing him, he had to come out and defend himself.

Addressing reporters yesterday, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, described Obi’s claim as a hoax. He said: “The N75 billion was not there; it was not handed over to anybody. At best it can be half truth”. Chukwulobelu said instead, the state government inherited a total contract sum of N185.1 billion as liability from the Obi administration.

Peter Obi owed alot of contractors billions and had not paid most of them when he left. Obiano even alleged that Obi demanded 7.5billion naira to support his election. I will post numerous links, so you can read whichever story you want. They all say the same thing and they were all from 2015. Nothing new here.

Kwankwaso that is already talking to Wike.

Wike will bring huge votes from Rivers State and some votes in Bayelsa. Fayose who is very close to Wike was also in the meeting. If Fayose aligns, then there will be some votes coming from Ekiti.

Kwankwaso is bigger than Peter Obi His party has more structure and certainly better funded. There will be no merger between NNPP and LP.

By 2003 Oshodi was already sanitized. Look at Oshodi today and u will never believe it was once what I witnessed as a young boy... I go with my BAT.. No be sentiments na personal conviction..

What is now called Island from Lekki all the way to the Dangote refinery was BAT. It was like the man had a vision that the population of Lagos will explode. I have seen the plan for the entire Lekki Free Trade zone. Buolding by building. The Dangotr Refinery and Fertiliser is one small area out of it. The place is now an industrial hub. BAT opened up the whole area.

If we are to be sincere and base our decisions on records and achievements and not sentiments or here say. BAT trumps the rest hands down.

We voted Buhari on his leadership stance in 1983, we know what we went through during this 8yrs. Tinubu was an enigma when he was Governor of Lagos 1999 to 2007 no doubt but we know how he sustained his legacy over this years till now. Well, we might close our eyes on so many things but not on his health concern. Buhari couldnt implement any of his stoic policy simply as a result of ailing health and lack of strenght to monitor most of his policies. Tinubu might be the leader we want in 1999-2007 but never a leader that can function in our today crises ridden country. He simply wont be able to monitor any of his policies or deliver alot of things like he did in governorship years.
You might not like Peter Obi, but he his far a new breed of politician in Nigeria political space and also a christian we badly need to equal the 8yrs under a muslim.

You might go ahead and act as if it doesnt matter but i swear Tinubu will never be who he was 15yrs ago. His long use of nicotine might also be the cause why it isnt happening . So do well and look through your conscience .

I thought you people said Tinubu was a thief who did nothing in Lagos. Now you are saying he did great as governor but he is old.

It is now that I understand why governors Fayemi, Badaru, Amosun, Akpabio all stepped down for Tinubu during the primaries. Same with Ayade, Umahi and all the Northern governors all backing him. They know they are all learners where he is. They all learnt from him. He is not their mate- most of them try to copy his governance model in Lagos.

When Kwankwaso became governor, he first ran to Lagos to learn from Fashola who had just become governor then. Of the 36 governors in 1999, Tinubu is the only relevant person till date and it is based on performance.

The truth is that Tinubu and Peter Obi should never be put in the same sentence. They should not be contesting for the same thing. ASIWAJU is not his mate in any way. If Obi had sense, he should just step down and go back home. Obi that struggled and was impeached in that small Anambra State. Doctors were on strike for 13 months, ASUU on strike for 6 months. The man couldn't run Anambra and now wants to run Nigeria. I laugh in Chinese ... hehehehe him tu lie.

If you owned a Fortune 500 company with revenues of $20billion and you had to hire one of two people. One had been the CEO of another Fortune 500 company with revenues of $10billion and th other has run a company of only $2million. Who will you hire? That is what we have at stake here. Hiring Peter Obi is like hiring the man that ran a company of $2million to suddenly run a company of $20billion. He wouldn't even know what to do. The governors don't even respect him and that is why Wike could easily kick him out.

Tinubu transformed Lagios into the 5th largest economy in Africa and you want to compare him with Peter Obi? A 100 year old Tinubu is 10times better than a 60 year old Peter Obi.

I am not surprised you don't understand the argument. It is very simple. If Peter Obi did such a great job in Anambra, why can't he or his family live there. His children don't live there neither does his wife.

If Peter Obi turned Awka into a worthy capital, more people would have migrated there. If Obi created jobs in Awka, more people would live there. if he build hospitals, good schools, infrastructure, more people would have moved there. If Awka were safe, there would be more investments there.

How many of you can move around freely in Awka at night without fear. What is the economy of Awka? How much foreign investments come there.

Loans enable you to access tomorrow's money today, thereby saving time and delivering impactful projects.

Lagos has high IGR but the loan the state is owing is higher than their monthly generated income. Lagos has the highest loan in the hwole of Africa for a city in a country.

Think and be free from religious bigotry and ethnic chauvinism

When Obi was Governor, Anambra doctors were on strike for 13 months. You can Google it. It is all over the Internet. People died and he did not care. Why? His family either received treatment in Lagos or abroad.

When Obi was Governor of Anambra, Anambra ASUU was on strike for 6 months. Google is your friend. He did not care because his children schooled in England.

The Investment he made in International Breweries was not just bad for Anambra but a conflict of interest. Anambra paid 2billion naira for that failed investment but he awarded his family 1 billion without paying any cost. Peter Obi should be in jail if Nigeria had strong judiciary. No wonder he was impeached.

Records are always there and facts never lie. Lekki free trade zone is becoming a new city employing hundreds of thousands.

The same people who are some if the greatest beneficiaries of Tinubu's vision are now his greatest critics. It was the same thing they did to Awolowo. These people came from the South East to enjoy Awolowo's free education policy in the early 80s but hated him so much.

I think the best thing is for Nigeria to adopt true federalism with a certain percentage of jobs reserved for people in that region. Lets see how some people will survive if they had to go back to their region.

You just won a fan with your intelligent submission. I'm glad to see someone we think alike.

I'll like your company or be in your circle. What's your social media handle, either of Facebook or whatsapp?

I don't really do social media. No time for that. However, I have been on this platform for a while and will like to educate the younger ones especially those between 18 - 29.

The South East can also say - Emi L'okan - and demand the presidency. They have a right to and they can support Peter Obi because he is from the South East. But please don't come and deceive others that he is the perfect candidate that has all the solutions.

He goes to friendly TV stations like AriseTV where they ask him easy questions and he gives the same silly statistics. Have they ever asked him about all the strikes that happened in Anambra when he was governor? How his children were schooling abroad when Anambra ASUU was on strike? Have they asked him why doctors in Anambra were on strike for 13 months? Have they asked him about his dubious investments ?

They ask him simple stuff anybody can cram and memorize. Have they ever questioned his record or would AriseTV say they don't know about the strikes?

The IPOB youths will always vote Peter Obi and there is no use appealing to them; but I don't want his propaganda deceiving the younger ones who might not be old enough to remember Peter Obi as governor of Anambra State. When he was governor, he was mocked half of the time. They nicknamed him Adaobi because of his voice and his people never took him seriously. They laughed that he was too effeminate. I wouldn't condemn him because of his voice, but we have to scrutinize his record and we need to be factual about it.

Anyone can go make these arguments on Twitter or Facebook with facts. Facts don't lie.

You have proven that you are well read and an intelligent man, but I will answer your questions accordingly.

1. Doctors demanded an increase in pay and went on strike subsequently, whereas Obi maintained that he never entered an agreement with them with regards to pay increment. Nevertheless, when they decided to call off the strike, he cleared their enumerations and paid them despite their absence from work. Go and verify!

2. You said ANSU went on strike and you have forgotten that since the inception of this current lingering strike, Anambra State University is the only University not on strike because Peter Obi cleared all the subventures in anticipation before he left office as a governor.

3. About investment into his family business, EFCC has boldly come out to make bold claims that they have investigated Obi and found him non culpable. Obi is the only Governor that has publicly declared his financial activities as a practicing governor.

4. May I also correct and remind you that Peter Obi was impeached simply because he refuted budget padding by the house members and he never lobbied any cartel in the State house. May I also educate you that Mr. Peter never for once met the judge who awarded him victory prior his appearance in the court and even after winning the case.

5. About Akwuzu SARS, Obi has held it to his chest that he has low tolerance for banditry and criminality and that even though he is readily open to negotiation with agitators, he will spit fire against any form of criminals who take laws into their hands. Yes he did it, he said it, go and verify!!!

Thanks for the response. Anyone can say anything about his character and intentions but lets carefully look at the results.

1. Doctors were on strike for 13months at a stretch. As bad as Buhari's administration has been (and Buhari has been bad), there has never been a time where doctors have been on strike for 6 months not to talk of 13 months. Do you know how many people would have died in the process. How do you watch doctors go on strike for 13 months and you kept on arguing. Are you saying none of Peter Obi's family members received any kind of medical treatment during that period. I forgot, his family members are not treated by doctors in Anambra. Their own doctors are abroad or at least in Lagos.

2. Anambra ASUU was of strike for 6 months and you are defending this. How is he better than the Buhari administration. If he cannot dialogue and reach an agreement with Anambra ASUU, how can we trust him to manage ASUU nationally. He might not care because his children schooled in England, so Anambra ASUU can go on strike for 6 months. If his children did their University in Anambra State, would he watch ASUU go on strike for that long? I guess he is not affected.

3. On the International Breweries Investment. Please help me understand it. You are are governor of Anambra State. SAB Miller wants to build a breweries in your state. You invest 2billion naira of Anambra State money in the business for 10% equity. And then you tell SAB Miller to allocate 5% to your father's family business at a cost of zero naira. By so doing, you have just awarded your family 1 billion naira. How is that morally right please. Like how can you defend that? That is the definition of conflict of interest and he was duly impeached.

4. On the Akwuzu SARS, you claim Obi has low tolerance for banditry but the same man that killed innocent lives in Anambra was his CSO.

You and I know that Obi is just another politician trying to package himself for the less discerning. Some of us are too enlightened to be fooled. If you call him a South East project, I will understand but please don't pretend he has the solution to any problems. His record in Anambra speaks volumes.

Peter Obi lives in Lagos. Why not Anambra that he turned to Dubai? Like the OP showed, Obi is not a saviour by any margin or definition. He's the average, usual Nigerian governor. The ipobforce packaging and tribal/religious undertone of his campaign(ers) is very worrisome.

It's a very simple question no one can answer. If Peter Obi was that good, how come Anambrs has not been a model state for others. How come we never knew until now.

Everyone knows what Donald Duke did in Cross Rivers. Everyone knows what Fashola did in Lagos.
Tinubu and Kwankwaso today are strong in their states because of their achievements. Do you think Kano people will follow Ganduje after he leaves office the way they follow Kwankwaso?

Abeg leave story.

Don’t misquote him, bottom line is that you can’t trust politicians.

So please don't package Peter Obi like he is any different. He is just another regular Nigerian politician. He is no different from Atiku and will not bring any change.

Yesterday he had an all day meeting with Wike. The same Wike that you all claimed betrayed and sabotaged Obi. The same Wike that shared dollars everywhere. Peter Obi will work with Wike and even the devil if that will make him president. He already worked with Atiku and is willing to work with Kwankwaso and Doyin Okupe.

Vote your Obi in peace but we all know he ain't different from anyone else.
