So because his family has shares in the company ,he should not invest state funds if it is going to be profitable?

You are not the only one who watched the said video.

The investments was never secret to begin with and has always been in public domain so what exactly is wrong with that?

Anambra state government even has more shares in the said company than NEXT's shares

It is now i know you people are blind delusional followers. We all know that this shout and clamour for Peter Obi is not based on any substance. It is based on the fact that the entire South East does not have any candidates worthy of being considered for president, so you all have to shamelessly rally round a corrupt politician like Peter Obi.

If what you said happened in any other country, he would be in jail. Like prison for a very long time. Who said the investment will be profitable? What were they going to use the money for? In a company his family has significant influence? Why did he say he no longer had any dealings with the company? Peter Obi is worse than Tinubu and Aitku combined.

While Tinubu invested Lagos State money in Econet which was great and made alot of returns, Peter Obi chose his family business to invest Anambra state money in, and you don't see anything wrong in it because he is an Igbo man like you. That is why an Igbo man will not be president because you guys can't even argue reasonably so you are unable to convince anyone to vote for your candidate.

In a company which Kadaria confirmed his family has shares, which he also confirmed his family has shares ?, So are you saying his family have got no interest in the company ? Can you answer this verbatim that Peter Obi's family do not have shares /interest in the company ?

I mean like said we all agree he is most decent amongst the candidates but are people really ready to pull wool over our eyes now, he can't be scrutinized And every information against him is a fabrication ?

There is a difference between a global company trading in a country and its Nigerian entity. The foreign entity owns some shares and ther is Nigerian ownership as well. Due to local content restrictions and to have Nigerians on the board, share are given to Nigerians as well.

The local entity is partly owned by Peter Obi's family and he never denied it. Some of those guys just don't have any education.

The local entity is part owned by Obi's family and he invested $30million of Anambra State money in that company. That is clear conflict of interest and he was impeached for that offence.

Peter Obi invested $30million of Anambra State money in his father's company. Please tell me how this is right Nd what has happened to the investment now?

https://saharareporters.com/2019/01/30/peter-obi-questioned-why-he-invested-30m-state-funds-company-where-his-family-owns-shares

This is verified and he has admitted it. I havent seen any other governor that has gone this low. You call Tinubu a thief but he invested Lagos State money in Econet and made huge profits for Lagos state

Peter Obi literarily took Anambra State money and invested in family business.please who does that in a sane climate. That was one of the reasons he was impeached.

But all of you hating Tinubu are coming g to Lagos in droves. Why not all migrate to Onitsha where Peter Obi is from?

Tinubu transformed Lagos and has built men that have gone to do huge things. Peter Obi abandoned APGA and ran to PDP just the way he abandoned Awka and moved to Lagos after his 8 years stealing Anambra money.

Obi was impeached. Tinubu grew his party from one governor in 2006 to 6 governors by 2014.

Obi isn't the type to share money (which is supposed to be the norm) and clearly they would have voted against him and he took the next best option for him.

I do not understand why you guys are criticising him. It was said that it's a waste to vote PO and we have agreed to waste the vote. Where's the betrayal coming from again?

Allow us waste our votes abeg

It is now you know Atiku bought delegates. When Peter Obi ran with Atiku, you and Obi did not know he shared dollars in 2019? Or you did not know Atiku shared dollars to win? But you were all Atikulating then.

Hypocrisy. When he realised he couldn't win, he ran away.

Tickets are never given, people vote and votes are counted. There were delegates from the South East during the PDP convention but they voted for Wike and Atiku. Why didn't they vote Anyim or Ohanbuwa.

There were delegates from the South East in the APC convention but they voted for Amaechi. Why didn't they vote for Umahi, Nwajiuba, Onu, Okorocha or Ikeobasi?

Those are the questions that need answers. Answer those questions first.

I never said Lagos was owned by Yorubas neither did I say there was no freedom of movement. I just asked a logical question.

There are two candidates running for president. Both have been governors of two different states. You claim one was a thief, corrupt and destroyed his state. Which is Lagos state. And you claim the other is a Saint, perfect and enriched his state.

My logicL question is, why are people moving in droves from Peter Obi's wonderfully governed state on Anambra to Tinubu's corrupt, bad state of Lagos. Shouldn't it be the other way round if your claim is true?

Thats all I asked and you are answering a different question. If Tinubu was such a bad governor and Peter Obi was such a good governor, why are people moving from Obi's Statwle to Tinubu's State.

Even Peter Obi has left his own State to Tinubu's state to live there.

Politics / Did Peter Obi Betray Atiku? by TooNoisy(f): 12:10pm On Jun 15, 2022
We are in the political season again and there has been lots of conversations about betrayals. However, one Interesting betrayal that I see is between Atiku and Peter Obi.

First of all, Peter Obi betrayed Ojukwu. Obi was little known before Ojukwu offered him the platform of APGA to run on. The moment Obi finished his 8 years, he ported to PDP less than one year later. Ojukwu's son publicly accused Obi of betrayal.

Obi then gets to PDP and is very fortunate that Atiku picks him as running mate in 2019. There were 3 PDP governors at the time and they were first time governors who were focused on 2nd term. So Peter Obi was chosen. Peter Obi suddenly moved from Anambra boy to national name.

Then 2022, Peter Obi decides to run against Atiku. In fareness, he knew he couldn't win but wanted to get Atiku's attention for VP. But when it was obvious no governor was with him and he was going to be disgraced, he ported to Labour Party.

In fareness, he Hs never publicly attacked Atiku. Infact, he openly congratulated Atiku when Atiku got the ticket, and even called Atiku his leader and his elder brother. Atiku has not congratulated him though.

To me, Peter Obi has betrayed Atiku just like he betrayed Ojukwu. And now, all he is doing now is to cannibalise Atiku's votes in the South East. He is just being a spoiler.

You Igbos have spent the last 20 years insulting and cursing Tinubu. Yet you all left you wondering States with the best State governors to come to Lagos.

If Peter Obi was such a great governor and left Anambra in a wonderful state, why are you guys not in Anambra? Tinubu was a performing governor and brought in Fashola who also performed well and then Ambode and then Sanwo. All these men have performed creditable well.

The GDP of Anambra of not up to Eti Osa local government in Lagos. How come you guys are not settling in Onitsha or Awka? If Peter Obi did so well as you claim, why does he live in Lagos?

Peter Obi that invested $30million of state funds in his father's business. Like how can you do that and defend it? And he is still defending that action. But some people say he is different ...

Rven Peter Obi in his congratulatory tweet to Atiku called Atiku his leader and elder brother. He will soon come back to Atiku.

In 2023, status quo will change as we all go for OBI

And I can bet that you live either in the South East or in Abuja, Lagos or Rivers. You are either from the South East or you live in a major city.

The real challenge is that Nigeria is 65% rural. How do you convince the man in Sokoto, Kebbi or Zamfara that they should jettison APC and PDP and vote for Peter Obi of Labour that they have never heard off. These guys know and trust the agents of Atiku, Kwankwaso and Tinubu. Their representatives are his neighbours.

How do you convince the man in a small village in Ekiti or Osun to vote for Peter Obi ahead of Tinubu. PDP also has strong party stalwarts in these places too.

Atiku a sitting vice president in 2007 lost to a lesser known Yar Adua because Atiku was in a small party and Yar Adua had the PDP ticket. You really have to understand what you sre up against.

Great write-up but situations throwup leaders .What is happening now if maintained will shock the career politicians.
Whatever party structure means to Nigerian politicians, it's
still about loyal people.
Many people supporting LP are doing it because of one man-Peter Obi.They aren't doing it because of money and the passion is crazy.

For instance, in Sokoto, all he needs is Matthew Kukah to instruct his members to support a fellow Catholic.
I don't belong to the Catholic church but I know they have societies within the church that can organize stuffs for him.

Many things are in the offing bro...not all can be divulged.
Those underrating Peter Obi are free to continue living in past glory.
We understand our enemies very well and we don't underestimate them.

So let us take your example and let's see how realistic it is.

1. Matthew Kukah is a Catholic Bishop in a State where Muslims make up 95% of the population. So in the unlikely event that he says Sokoto people should support Peter Obi, it makes very little difference.

2. Secondly, Matthew Kukah is a religious leader who will not publicly endorse anyone. He will not put his entire career on the line for Peter Obi especially in a very sensitive place like Sokoto. You don't want another religious riot.

If Peter Obi needs endorsement from a religious or traditional ruler in Sokoto,it will be the Sultan and there is a zero percent chance of that happening. How will he win Sokoto, Kano, Borno. How will he convince Ooni of Ife, Alalke of Egba to endorse him.

All this crazy Peter Obi love is only on Twitter. Your so-called crazy support is mainly from Igbos and a fee Yorubas in Lagos. No one will abandon Tinubu in Osun or Oyo or Ekiti. You guys need to be realistic. The entire South South is still firmly a stronghold of PDP. And you guys have only 7 months.

Did you watch Labour Party convention? Why do you think a much bigger party like NNPP will collapse its structure for a much smaller party. And when you say Kwankwaso can learn I wonder where you got that from.

Do you know Kwankwaso came second to Buhari in the 2015 APC primaries ahead of even Atiku (who is Obi's leader). If Kwankwaso came second ahead of Atiku and was only behind Buhari in the 2015 presidential primaries, why would he accept to be running mate to a lesser know Party like Labour? Too late for that. Peter Obi must look for a strong northerner and he will really struggle to get one.

Politics / The Meaning Of Party Structure And Why It Is Very Critical by TooNoisy(f): 6:49pm On Jun 11, 2022
There has been lots of discussions about the importance of Party Structure especially relating to Peter Obi. I have heard several people say that Party Structure is not important and "the people" are the structure. When I hear those things, I just wonder if these people understand what Party structure means. In most major democracies, there are 2-4 political parties that dominate their politics.

The UK has 3 (Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrats), the US has 2 (Republicans and Democrats) etc. Nigeria currently has 2 and some people are imagining that a Labour Party which was not even active would have a structure all across the country in 7 months. The truth is that the Labour Party has to create this structure from scratch and hope to dislodge the leading parties who already have these structures for many years. So let us understand that these structure means.

So let us take Sokoto State for example. It means Labour Party must look for a party leader for every ward in Sokoto. One ward is the equivalent of 5 streets or a small village. Labour must look for a Party leader in that ward whom is from that village and whom is very well known in that village. The villagers only know PDP and APC representatives, so Labour has to look for a new person from that remote village. For sure that man will not do it for free so he needs money to mobilize him. It costs money.

Then they need to look for a leader for the council who will oversee each of the wards. Again this guy has to be popular and influential in that area and must live among those people in Sokoto. An Igbo man from Enugu cannot perform that role. This person also needs to be mobilized to do the role as he cannot do it for free. The question is where will Labour get all these people from and fund them within 7 months.

Then they will need the leader for the local government who will also come from that area in Sokoto. This would be a relatively wealthy and influential man or woman within that local government. Trust me he would not perform that function for free as well. And lastly they will need a State chairman as well whom will coordinate the affairs for the state. The average cost if setting up this structure from scratch today is 5billion naira. And Labour has to replicate this in 36 states within 7 months. Who will fund this 180billion project and where will he get all these trusted people from?

You need to ask yourself why did Peter Obi leave APGA for PDP? The simple answer is that Peter Obi wants to play national politics and knew very well that APGA lacked the structure, so he went for PDP and he has been lucky enough to have been picked by Atiku. Even Peter Obi knows this.

Shehu Sani was a sitting APC senator in 2019. He decamped to a lesser known Party and lost woefully when he ran in 2019. The reason is simple; the new Party did not have a structure. Segun Osoba was a former governor in Ogun but his candidate lost in 2015 when they decamped to SDP because of structure. Same thing for Amosun's candidates in 2019 when they were chased out by Asiwaju.

The dominant parties have people at every ward level. People who are well known in that locality and have been there for years supporting that Party. They speak local languages and are well trusted. The major parties are also very well funded, so they can fund the structure and ensure the foot soldiers can mobilise the voters on election day.

Elections need funding. In the US candidates usually spend about $200m in the major parties. Obama spent $600m in 2008. Elections are very expensive to fund and it is the same everywhere in the world. So when I see young people saying they will be the structure, I just laugh because they don't know what structure means. And instead of them to learn, they wouldn't listen.

Having a party structure is not tweeting and liking posts. It is not online polls. It is having people on ground. It is the need to have a national Party structure that Peter left Apga for PDP.

ACN, CPP, ANPP and part of APGA combined with nPDP in 2015 to have a national structure. Tinubu and Buhari knew their parties were both regional parties and needed to have a national outlook and structure to fight PDP at the time.

I just thought to explain to the young ones what is meant by Party structure so that they understand the task ahead and how almost impossible it looks. Where will they find trusted ward leaders in Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kwara, Kogi, Katsina, Zamfara, Nasarawa etc. This election is not on Twitter and it is not only in the South East o.

Guys, there has been alot of conversations about who would be Tinubu's running mate and Atiku's running mate. There are lots of names being floated around and there are lots of meetings going on to agree who would run with these political colossus'.

However, I have not heard a thing about Peter Obi's running mate. Not even one name has come up. Would he be running with a Northerner? Are there any northerners in the Labour Party? Who will deliver the North for Peter Obi? Or is he expected to run alone or pick another Igbo as running mate.

Please let me know which names are being touted from the North or may be we will have a South-South ticket but I don't know of any Yoruba, Ijaw, Bini, Urhobo or Efik/Ibibio in Labour Party. May it will be a SE/SE ticket.

If you know, please let us know.

The North contributes about 15% to the GDP and about 5% to government revenues and yet they continue to dictate to everyone else. Like how does the South even allow this? The South owns the resources, has the economic intellect, dominates the private sector, but the North controls the allocation of resources and threatens everyone else.

I have said it here severally.

SW are stooopid idiots thinking they can ride on the back of SE clamoring for Southern President, only to come and usurp and have the position.

SE massively supported and voted their son to become president in 1999 and 2003 against Ikenba Ojukwu, but they’re failing to support us on our bid to produce the party candidature, in that case let us give it to NE Ahmed Lawan and become VP candidate, than allow Tinubu get it and take North as VP. In the first instance we gain VP but lose presidency. In the second instance we lose presidency and VP.

Same thing applies to SS whom we supported massively in 2011 and 2015 and suffered ridicule for it

I will ignore the insults and start by correcting some lies that you guys have continued telling. I imagine you were too young in 1999 and 2003, so you have to rely on stories. The South East NEVER voted for a South West candidate in 1999. The PDP primary election was fiercely contested between Obasanjo and Ekueme and Obasanjo won hands down. All the Igbos voted for Ekwueme but Ekweme has on 20% of the votes. Don Etiebet and Phillip Asiodu also contested the primaries in 1999 and lost to Obasanjo. The general election was between Obasanjo and Falae. There were two Yoruba candidates and the SE voted for whom they considered the Northern candidate who was Obasanjo. The entire SW voted for Falae. The Igbos did not have an option but to vote a Yoruba candidate.

Something similar happened in 2003. The primaries were contested by Obasanjo, Ekweume, Abubakar Rimi and Bernabas Gemade. I can still visualise Tom Ikimi reading out the results - Obasanjo, Obasanjo, Obasanjo, Ekwueme, Rimi, Obasanjo etc. So please stop the lies okay. The general election in 2003 was largely between Obasanjo and Buhari. The whole country knew Obasanjo would easily defeat Buhari, so the South East had to align.

I will now address the other issues you raised. We all knew from the beginning that the Igbos were just fighting for VP. Unfortunately for Igbos they would not get that in APC and even in the PDP, Wike seems a lot stronger as a VP candidate than Peter Obi. The South South has a bigger voting block than SE and they are more reliable voters. Besides, Qikw has been one of the bedrock of PDP in the last 8 years.

Ahead Lawan is being decieved by Orji Uzo Kalu who wants to be VP. The governors control the delegates and all the Northern governors are either for Tinubu or Osinbajo. Only exception is Yahaya Bello who is a joker. Ahmad Lawan does not control any delegates and national assembly members will never be delegates

Politics / Igbos Supporting Ahmed Lawan And The Politics With Bitterness by TooNoisy(f): 3:44pm On May 14, 2022
As the nation approached another presidential election, it is clear that powers should return to the South after 8 years of the Buhari administration. The Southern Governors from both parties have agreed that power should go South and a few of them have indicated interest in contesting including Dave Umahi, Kayode Fayemi, Udom Emmanuel, Ben Ayade and Nyesom Wike.

The body language in the APC has always been that power MUST return to the South, however, the PDP has always indicated the presidency will be thrown open. However of late we have seen the emergence of Senate President Ahmed Lawan as a candidate and his two biggest sponsors are Orji Uzo Kalu and Hope Uzodinma

Uzodinma is a Southern governor of igbo extraction who stood with his southern colleagues to demand for a Southern president; how then is he the person spear heading the call for a northern president, especially when Dave Umahi is in the race? Ben Ayade is also in the race. Is this a case of "if we Igbos cannot get it then it should remain in the North" or is it a case of "if I cannot get it, then no other Igbo or Southerner should get it". Orji Uzo Kalu already insinuated that was his reason.

The same is being witnessed in the PDP. Wike, Peter Obi Pius Anyim, Udom Emmanuel and a few others are contesting from the South. Peter Obi seems to be the most popular candidate from the South East but he does not have the deep pockets or national appeal of the Northern aspirants, so there are obstacles before him. However, you will.also realise that the two Igbo PDP Governors - Ugwuanyi and Ikpeazu are supporting Atiku and Wike respectively. None of them is with Peter Obi or Pius Anyim. This MUST be a case of "if I cant become president, then no other Igbo man shoulf" I wonder why blithering hovernor is supporting Peter Obi because Obi actually has a slim chance of getting the PDP ticket.

And to the supporters of Peter Obi, they have threatened to dump the PDP if Obi does not get the ticket... but can they really do that? What will be the alternative for Obi supporters when he loses. Will they hope for the VP slot from Atiku or will they just lose interest. Please note that it is too late for a third force and the APC ticket will certainly not go to the South East.

Politics / Re: APC Closes Sale Of Forms, Governors Sanwo-Olu, Zulum, AbdulRazaq Unopposed by TooNoisy(f): 8:38pm On May 10, 2022
Only someone who wants to waste money will oppose Sanwo-Olu. Even the Jandor in PDP knows he is wasting his time and money. Sanwo-Olu will get a second term.

Zulum will get a second term based on performance. He is certainly one of the beat Governors in Nigeria and is much loved.

Abdulrasaq that dislodged Saraki is also a big fish in Kwara. No point wasting money trying to challenge him.

Religion / Re: A Killer Marriage Is A Nonsense Marriage - Paul Enenche (Throwback Video) by TooNoisy(f): 4:28pm On Apr 11, 2022
Hmmn

There is a place for common sense in all that we do. The Bible says he has not given us a spirit of fear but a spirit of power, love and of a sound mind. All this means is that he has given us common sense and we do not rely on pastors.

If your life is threatened, common sense should prevail. If you chose to stay in that marriage because you are afraid of what people will say then you have a spirit of fear which is not of God.
