for those who likt talking trash, liverpool has been english champions I8 times. followed by man utd I3-I5 times(not sure) if you like call it premier league, if you like call it premiership, english champions are english champions. the fact that they changed the format, added more money etc does not mean that the history will be thrown away. think again.

so what of the UCL which was only for league champions, later they introduce multiple representation for some countries (england 4 clubs) then changed the format to Ist phase on league basis etc, does that mean that real madrid is not the leader with 9 wins? and liverpool with 5 wins? and man u 2 wins? and arsenal I attempt at a final? and chelsea still dreaming?

I-man, you're right about the points. But do you honestly see liverpool scoring 6 goals against Citeh? I think ManU can do it on a good day. Naturally I believe Arsenal can do so as well. Liverpool can't. I think liverpool has a good squad (I'll stop short of calling their squad great), but I think their coach is not technically in the same class as SAF and Wenger.

So we have this sort of scenario:
Chelsea: Good coach, Good team
ManU: Excellent Coach, great team
Arsenal: Excellent coach, great team
Liverpool: Good coach, very good team

Chelsea also has the advantage of having the best individuals, when considered player by player

Each of these qualities can be balanced or cancelled out by little things like injury and form. I think Liverpool can win the premiership if the other three teams lost 3 or 4 influential players, and had extreme malaria fever every matchday from now on.
