Afcon prize money is very poor. Even match bonuses for Nigerian players for the entire tournament is about twice the prize money given to Nigeria. What are they then competing for? This competition is basically for national pride, not business-wise at all.
Afcon prize money by now should have gone up to as much as $15m or there about. Upon all the sponsorship and television right fees. This people should do better abeg |

adeks2: Nigeria has already qualified. See the rules for the competition:
The top two teams of each group advance to the semi-finals and qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Tiebreakers Teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings (Regulations Article 72):[4]
1. Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams; 2. Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams; 3. Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams; 4. If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams are still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams; 5. Goal difference in all group matches; 6. Goals scored in all group matches; 7. Drawing of lots.
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Africa_U-17_Cup_of_Nations I don't like this head-to-head rule. It stopped us from qualifying for world cup at a time. Goals difference should have been fine. For instance, Uganda is not going anywhere if they beat Nigeria silly and Angola beat Tanzania even with a single goal margin. |

“So if you look at that as a percentage of the work, it is absolutely insignificant. In international terms, it is very justifiable, it is less than two percent It is quite unfortunate that this minister does not know his mathematics. 1.4b is 4% of 35b. Not less than 2% |

autojosh: https://i0.wp.com/autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Berger-Bridge-1.jpg?w=600&ssl=1
On May 16, 2017 , the new Berger Bus-stop was commissioned by the Akinwunmi Ambode administration.
The Berger-bus stop is located on the fringes of Lagos state that borders with Ogun state. This key transport hub and interchange features an extensive pedestrians bridge, lay-bys, slip roads, public conveniences, etc.
The reconstructed/remodeled Berger bus stop gave the location a modern and coordinated ambiance.
Today, sadly, Berger bus-stop is fast slipping back into its former chaotic and dirty outlook.
Indeed, the new Berger Bus stop is fast degrading.
The place screams a lack of maintenance. The paint job is fast fading away, there are litters all over the interlocked tiles, hawkers have indiscriminately taken their enterprise all over the place, touts (agberos) activities further heightens the chaotic state of the place, etc.
Indeed, this further lends credence to the belief that maintenance culture in Nigeria is a big problem – especially with regards to public facility management.

dejt4u: 1. Thank you for your observation 2. We did our best to ensure that no one is unfairly treated. The average was calculated with the real scores and not with percentages so as to avoid double approximation.
Let's me analyse that of greenya for you.
greenya Test 1 = 38/60 = 63.3% Test 2 = 40/60 = 66.7% Total = 78/120 = 65.0%
This method above is what we used and I believe is the best way to do it. Remember how CGPA is computed in school. lol.
once again, thanks for your observation OK. I appreciate this analysis. The score should have been used instead of the percentage. That would have saved the organizers of unwarranted embarrassment. Thanks for getting back and honouring me with your explanation. Greenya has not be cheated with calculation error, rather he has been honored with what he scored |

Great job. However, I have an observation. Hope to explain my points during the day. Thanks.

Modified As someone who likes playing with figures, I have observed a few calculation errors. Worst of all is that of the average score of greanya...(not sure if the spelling is correct) who was categorized among the airtime winning winners however the correct average score should have earned the fellow #3000 naira prize. The exact average score of 68.3%+66.7%= 67.5%. This person has been cheated with calculation error... I will pay this person his exact prize of #3000 while the airtime sent to the fellow will be a compensation for his trouble. May your blessing never elude you. The fellow can contact me if the organizers admit their error. Thanks 28th: greenya (1st: 68.3%, 2nd: 66.7%, average score: 65.0%) |

I'm impressed with this year competition. No issues as such except for error on the part of the participants. I'm also impressed with the distribution of the prizes. In a competition like this, one of the ways to encourage people to compete well is by making the prize of the winner attractive. This the organizers have been able to achieve. I'm impressed. I will want to be involved in next edition through sponsorship. God bless the organizers. God bless the participants. |
