RomanceRe: What Is Your Worst Near Rape Experience Or Sexual Harassment?. by totalhouse(m): 3:43pm On Feb 01, 2017
thornapple:
There was this uncle that had been making sexual advances to me for quite a while. It got to a point i reported it to his wife but she seemed helpless herself not to talk of confronting him.
He was my father's business partner and often came to our house.
There was this day he came around and my parents and siblings weren't around.
He was actually been expected as there were files my younger brother was supposed to hand over to him as instructed by Dad.
As is usual with him, my brother soon left to play ball with his friends leaving our gate unlocked.
I was watching African magic before the lights went out so i laid on the settee for my siesta.
Woke to the creaking sound of our front door. As i opened my eyes i saw the figure of a man walking straight into our living room. Jumped to my feet in shock only to realize it was my Dad's friend.
Initially thought it was a robber or something so i felt quite relieved.
Knowing what he came for i offered him a seat as i got up to go get the files. He was already seated as i turned to leave but then i returned to pick my phone in order to call my brother in case i couldn't locate the files in his room.
By the time i got back i noticed he was back on his feet.
Not suspecting anything i persuaded him to exercise patience that i won't be long and hurried off with my phone.
Locating the file didn't take much time but as i turned to leave i saw the man now Manning the door to my brother's room.
I had never felt so shocked in my life before.
The man started asking me for just few minutes with him.
I had never done this before, getting deflowered by a married man right in my father's house was unthinkable.
I threatened to scream and draw the attention of my brother but he told me he saw my brother playing with his friends in the neighborhood on his way.
I was thinking really fast but as i did, he brought out his joystick and started stroking it gently as he stepped into the room.
That was the clue i needed to know what to do.
I turned on the video recording app in my phone as he begged.
It was my very first time of seeing an adult "thing" in my life.
At a point he started making towards me so i told him what i just did.
As scared as i was i asked him to let me go else he won't get away with it.
To my relief he turned sober and begged me to delete the video.
I gave him my word i would gladly delete it once it was safe to do so.
He listened and we both stepped out with him leading the way since he was closer to the door.
Once at the gate i turned on my phone to delete it but he wanted to delete it himself to be sure so i handed him the phone.
The moment he was done he quickly returned my phone and hurried off.
Without any video evidence i still reported the incidence to my mom and that was the last i ever saw of him till date.

So Ladies in the house share yours as i just did.
Good one but just be careful some other time.. Always try and avoid such incidence as much as you can because desperate rapist would have messed up with your honey pot before you knew it. God will help you to keep yourself intact.

SportsUnanimous Decision Expands FIFA World Cup™ To 48 Teams From 2026 by totalhouse(op): 3:48pm On Jan 10, 2017
FIFA 2016 World Cup Will take a new format as the number of teams to participate has risen from 32 to 48teams.The new development looks good for the round leather game.
This will afford better representation from all membered continents.

The FIFA Council has unanimously decided in favour of expanding the FIFA World Cup™ to a 48-team competition as of the 2026 edition. World football’s supervisory and strategic body held its third meeting at the Home of FIFA in Zurich on 9 and 10 January, and decided on a new tournament format with the 48 national teams split into 16 groups of three. The top two teams from each group will then advance to a 32-team knockout stage.

The new 48-team competition format has been drawn up in such a way that there is no reduction in the overall number of rest days and a guaranteed maximum of seven matches for the teams reaching the final, while the current 32-day tournament duration is kept, so as not to increase the length of time for which clubs have to release their players.

The decision was taken following a thorough analysis, based on a report that included four different format options. The study took into account such factors as sporting balance, competition quality, impact on football development, infrastructure, projections on financial position and the consequences for event delivery. Over the course of its next meetings, the FIFA Council is set to discuss further details regarding the competition, including the slot allocation per confederation.

At its most recent meeting in October 2016, the FIFA Council had already discussed the scenarios to expand the competition format of the FIFA World Cup. By then, it had also defined a set of principles for countries to bid for the right to host the 2026 edition – a process that is currently scheduled to culminate in May 2020.

The first day of the FIFA Council meeting saw the members split into five working groups dedicated to specific themes: women’s football, technical development, competitions, commercial matters and legal and corporate structures.

On 10 January, as well as deciding on the expanded format, the Council agreed on a set of key dates related to the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ :

· 14 May 2018: Deadline for participating member associations to release a list of 30 players;

· 20 May 2018: Recommended final day of club competitions, with the exception of the UEFA Champions League final. Special exemptions may only be granted by the FIFA Council;

· 21-27 May 2018: Official rest period to be respected by clubs and participating member associations;

· 28 May 2018: Start of the release period for all participating member associations;

· 4 June 2018: Submission of final list of 23 players.

The Council also approved the early adoption of the IFRS15 standard in FIFA’s financial reports.

Furthermore, as part of the ongoing consultation process, the composition of the new committees has been decided and will be communicated once the respective members have been informed.

The next meeting of the FIFA Council is scheduled to be held in Manama, Bahrain, on 9 May 2017 ahead of the 67th FIFA Congress.

I am not understanding. He retired as the general overseer in nigeria and took over as the general overseer of redeem world and a new general overseer of Nigeria and world appointed?
The new law in Nigeria about overseers brought us here.. Overseer is now by tenure in Nigeria.
Since Rccg is a global church, therefore pastor Adeboye remains the general overseer of Rccg worldwide. The law of general overseer by tenure is only applicable to Nigeria. Since Rccg does not operate rotational overseer appointment, it implies that Nigerian law can only affect Nigerian congregation.

I knew this is what the news will carry... Jokers
Anyways pastor J. O. Obayemi is the new national overseer (Nigeria alone) because of the new 'general bubu 's law' to 'checkmate' the church... In Nigeria today, any general overseer in Nigeria will always serve by tenure, no more general overseer till death in Nigeria..
The government is poking nose into church in order to have her way for a kind of control on the Church.. We know where they are going.. Revenue must be generated through all means... Just let them continue, we are ready for the insensitive government...
Pastor E. A. Adeboye is still the general overseer worldwide because Rccg is a global church

Like many, I saw the list of nominees for the award of Person of the Year by Y'Naija. I scrolled down the list of names of distinguished Nigerians who in truth are deserving of the award. But as i scanned the list, I realized that i had the same reaction to several of the names. And that was the fact that several of them had already been recipients of same kind or similar awards in the past. Allow me to refresh your memory.

Sanusi has won many awards as man of the year chief of which was the Forbes Africa Man of the year 2011

WizKid just won the best male Artiste at the just concluded MAMA 2016

Peter Obi was Silver bird's Man of the year in 2014
Kashim Shettima has won several awards as Governor of the year.

AY Makun has won several awards has been the comedian of the year and rightfully so.

Dapo Olorunyomi was one of the two only Nigerian past recipients of the International Editor of the Year Award.

And then there is Bukola Shonibare.

All these individuals are deserving of the award and i would have no problem with any winning. But my vote unreservedly will go to Bukola and i will tell you why.

Bukola (a YALI Fellowship Graduate) has been nominated by Y'Naija for "Person of the Year Award" because of her resilience over the advocacy of the Chibok Girls. But it is important to note that she is more than just a "Placard Carrying Advocate". She has become an advocate for the voiceless. She has stood up for young girls and boys deprived in the North East. Through her Adopt a Camp and Girls Child Africa, (organizations she founded), she has conceived and implemented since 2014 various projects aimed at helping the helpless in the North Eastern parts of Nigeria.

Projects like School-In-A-Bag which is a very innovative idea of ensuring Children in IDP camps and war ravaged areas get good quality school bags with books and supplies. Thousands of these bags (including teachers kit) has been distributed so far and thousands more will be distributed. There is also the learning hub project which is a creative idea to ensure children in camps can be educated not under the sun and trees and on concrete slabs but in a comfortable tent with desk and chairs, chalk boards, which can be dismantled and moved easily if need be. Not to forget the “Feeding Set” Project which championed the supply of feeding sets to IDP camps to improve their feeding experience. There have been several other projects including building toilet facilities, renovating medical centers and helping some helpless people in the North East whether in paying their medical bills or paying their school fees.

I have been opportune (no strike that) I have been privileged to be beside Bukola on some of these projects and i have seen at close quarters the passion she put into it. Bukola didn't just start doing this, this is who she has always been. This is who she is in her core. Her passion to help drives her. It motivates to keep going at great personal cost. She is not a woman with a lot of financial means but because she has a large heart, many are always willing to give towards whatever cause she is championing. I have had to agonize internally whenever she travels to the Northeast. (Yes she has been there countless times including to Chibok twice). I say internally because the last thing i wanted was to let the expression of my personal apprehensions be the reason she wouldn't embark on a Journey that will help a few.

I believe it’s time we recognize the efforts of this fantastic and large hearted young woman. Its time we recognize the efforts of those who might not be VVIPs but in their own right are heroes because of their selfless service. Voting for Bukola is symbolic and it sends a strong message that as a people we reward those who have given of themselves to serve when it is the least convenient. Bukola is not just about carrying placards for the Chibok girls, she is about carrying the hopes and dreams of the helpless and the voiceless especially for girls in the North East. Heroes don't come more beautifully packaged than this. This is why i voted Bukola Shonibare and this is why i urge you as well to do same.

A Kenyan woman, Rahab Mugure Nga’nga, has got everyone talking after she revealed that if she doesn’t get married, she would remain a virgin forever without ever having sex.

This was made known after the 33-year-old commercial service manager granted an interview in which she dished out tips on how she has maintained her virginity and stance. Rahab said she has kept her virginity because of her religious belief and desire to please her God.“I am a born again Christian and I do not want to offend God with sexual sin, sex outside the marriage bond is sin. I want to have sex, just like the next person, but because I haven’t before, it is not a distraction.”

She said her eagerness to please her mother and not disappoint her by getting pregnant out of wedlock has kept her strong. She revealed that even though she was involved in two serious long term relationship which unfortunately ended badly, she has remained a virgin.

Rahab said she has kept her virginity because of her religious belief and desire to please her God.

“My first, which lasted two and a half years, ended because our ideals on sexual boundaries clashed. The second, which lasted three years, ended two months to my wedding date. I rush straight home from work and keep my socializing at zero until these winds have passed. I also avoid reading certain books or watch soap operas and I do not kiss or caress men.”

Rahab who has graduated with both a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Marketing says even if she turns 50 without getting married, she will remain a virgin and maybe adopt a baby.

God help her!
