This year’s World Cup is just a few days away and Africa just like every other continent (apart from Antarctica) will have its representatives at the Mondial flying it’s flag high. The World Cup is the biggest sporting showpiece in the world watched by over 2 billion viewers from all over the world. Football’s biggest tournament has been played ever four years since it’s inception in 1930. (I don’t know how many of you reading this watch the first ever World Cup if you didn’t let me tell you it was epic I remember watching the final in my living room with my grandson on my 4k HD Hisense android TV ). Hence this year’s edition makes it the 22nd of successful World Cups ( excluding 1942 and 1946 editions that were cancelled ). Host Qatar will be the 19th Country to host the World Cup and also this will be only the second time the World Cup will be staged in Asia/Middle East- first been 2002 when Japan and Korea co-hosted. Hosting the World Cup is one thing but winning the World Cup is a different game entirely, the World Cup is so elusive that only 8 countries have ever lifted the trophy (as at 2018 World Cup in Russia a total of 79 teams have participated in the tournament) and just in case you don’t already know the 8 countries to have won the World Cup are from Europe and South America.(which means for the past 92 years, countries from other continents have just been going to make up numbers and display colorful jerseys - one African country comes to mind < ) Africa countries Senegal, Cameroon and Ghana have endured painful quarter final exits the most recent one being the painful exit at the hand of Luis Suarez at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Diego Maradona called his hand ball goal against England in 1986 “the hand of God”, I wonder what Suarez would haves called his. Because his hand broke the heart of so many Africans (not me I was never rooting for Ghana ). Suarez had kept out the goal bound effort in the closing stages of that encountage Of course he was shown a red card and a penalty was duly awarded but Asamoah Gyan blazed the resulting spot kick over the bar. (with many Ghanians gasping in disbelief, I’m sure kenke even hang for some mouth). Uruguay would eventually win the match and dump Ghana and indeed Africa out of the World Cup on home soil.(another World Cup another Quarter final exit). The last two editions of the World Cup have witnessed well under par outing by African nations, Second round exist in 2014 and all round group stage ousting at the 2018 World Cup. But this year will be different this is 2022 this one will be special. This year’s World Cup is so so special for one it’s a Winter World Cup, secondly it’s the first major FIFA tournament after the pandemic of 2020 threaten to end the entire human existence and our way of life. Even amidst the Ukrainian war and countless other weird things happening around the World- example we have a BAT contesting for the highest political position in a certain African country. Football promises to serve us joy excitement and drama like it always does. So like previous editions, Africa once again is sending out her best five nations to fly the continents flag. There is a sense of optimism from African going into this years tournament and rightly so, amongst the five countries representing the great continent of Africa are three previous quarter finalists and given the experience and form of these countries it gives enough confidence to believe that this could be our time to cross that quarter final hurdle. So who are our representatives and what are their chances. SENEGAL The Teranga Lions; the reigning African champions- the team of novices that surprised everyone by beating then defending champions France at the 2002 tournament in Korea/Japan. They haven’t always qualified for the Mondial but when they do they always give a good account of themselves, this year they have a very promising team and I believe they can do the continent proud in Qatar. VERDICT: Second round exit…Mane seems to be out injured, might probably be missing the World Cup. Loosing your talisman this close to the World Cup is never a good sign plus Mendy hasn’t been the same since he started playing one-two with opposing strikers in the EPL and Koulibably hasn’t really found his feet in Chelsea (I don’t think anyone apart from Thiago Silva has found their feet in Chelsea this season) Read full Post Here: https://www.alexbanter.com/2022/11/qatar-2022-which-country-will-break-92.html?m=1 |
Cristiano Ronaldo has been chastised by Manchester United legend and former teammate Wayne Rooney for his behavior at the club this season. Man United's all-time leading scorer said Ronaldo's behavior this season has been unacceptable and that the club does not need that when they are focused on building a competitive team. Recall that the Portuguese recently refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur on October 19th, when the team won 2-0. Ronaldo stormed off the pitch before the game ended after refusing to come on, drawing harsh criticism from fans on social media. The 37-year-old later had a falling out with Erik ten Hag. Rooney in an interview with Talksport labeled Ronaldo’s action as unacceptable. “But I just think the things he has done from the start of the season it is not acceptable for Manchester United. I’ve seen Roy Keane defending him. Roy wouldn’t accept that. Roy wouldn’t accept that at all," he said to Talksport in an exclusive interview. Rooney advised Ronaldo to get to work and accept any role Ten Hag gives him. “For Cristiano, just get your head down and work and be ready to play when the manager needs you. If he does that, he will be an asset. If he doesn’t, it will become an unwanted distraction.” MY TAKE: You mean it took all of one month for the news of Ronaldo’s indiscipline to get to Rooney? Is Rooney on Glo network or what? Or did he run out of things to discuss with Talksport? He could have talked them through his amazing Coaching career That seems to be going very well. I understand there is no love lost between both players, I probably won’t forget anyone who makes me get a red card in a World Cup match and still goes ahead to dump out of the tournament. We get that, but Rooney should be careful how he comes for Ronaldo I don’t want Katia coming for him. Cristiano Ronaldo's biography has been published by Thierry Marchand, one of the top journalists at L'Equipe. He first met the Portuguese international in 2018, when the journalist interviewed him for a biography that was recently published. Marchand's biography reveals some key comments Ronaldo made back in 2018, when the forward stated that if Lionel Messi won the Ballon d'Or, he would retire from football. "I changed clubs, championships, football culture, I took a risk, and I'm sure that risk cost me the Ballon d'Or in 2018," Ronaldo said (h/t Diario AS) when asked about his failure to win the Ballon d'Or in 2018. Ronaldo, on the other hand, stated that his rival Lionel Messi did not deserve to win the Ballon d'Or, saying, "If Messi wins the Ballon d'Or this year, I'm leaving football." Fortunately for Ronaldo (and for all of us too just imagine how football would be today without Ronaldo for starters where would all the under age kids get their goal celebrations) it was Luka Modric who won the Ballon d'Or, ending the Messi-Ronaldo duopoly of Ballon D’or since 2008. Modric was recently joined in the list of footballers who have won the Ballon d'Or by his Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema. As individual hierarchy in football shifts, it appears Messi and Ronaldo are losing their dominance over the game. It was evident in Benzema's Ballon d'Or victory this year. As time passes, we may see the two superstars hand over the torch to next-generation stars like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. ( Messi seems more willing hand over “ the touch” not like he really has a choice he is literally playing in Mbappe’s leagueat the moment but I don’t think Ronaldo is about to do just that-Man just started a new celebration and I think he may want to do at least 100 goals with that celebration before he hangs his boot at 49 judging by his goal to game ratio this season ). Do you think Ronaldo would really have quit football had Messi won the Ballon D’or in 2018? I don’t think so I think maybe Katia Aveiro would had some a meltdown on insta though Source: https://www.alexbanter.com/2022/11/ronaldo-i-will-leave-football-if-messi.html?m=1 |

The fourth round of the Carabao Cup draw has thrown up some interesting fixtures top on the list is Manchester City taking on Liverpool. Judging by recent meetings in cup tiers I tick Liverpool to come out tops in this encounter Pep Guardiola doesn’t seem to know how to beat Juergen Klopp in Cup completions not like he’s had it easy in league games either. Manchester City will travel to Liverpool after defeating Chelsea on Wednesday night. Liverpool needed heroics of second choice goal keeper to knocked out Derby County in the third round via penalties. If City can defeat current EFL holders Liverpool, they will fancy their chances of winning the EFL Cup for the sixth time in the last nine seasons. Four of those victories have come since Pep Guardiola took over, and one more will bring them level with Liverpool's all-time record of nine EFL Cup victories. EFL Cup fourth-round draw in full: Wolves v Gillingham Southampton v Lincoln City Blackburn Rovers v Nottingham Forest Newcastle United v Bournemouth Manchester City v Liverpool Manchester United v Burnley MK Dons v Leicester City Charlton Athletic v Brighton and Hove Albion |

The Cameroon head of football has backed his country to come out victorious in this years FIFA World Cup … ( yeah the indomitable Lions of Cameroon to win the World CupI especially like the fact that Eto’o isn’t fazed by minute inconsequential details like the fact that the best the country has ever finished at the World Cup is a quarter final exit or the fact that they have so many “giants” to face enroute to the finals of the World Cup- I mean if small David could slay Goliath what is ordinary Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands or Belgium that Cameroon cannot vanquish ) That’s not even all, the icing on the cake is the two finalist as predicted my Samuel Eto’o who I’m sure has probably managed to get hold of an actual crystal ball or has some how gazed into the future I mean what else could give the man such confidence given how badly African Countries have fairer in recent outings at the World Cup. Samuel Eto’o predicts an all Africa showdown at the Mondial ( yes Sir not one but two African countries at the final of the FIFA World Cup- Cameroon Vs Morocco and of course Cameroon comes out tops obviously. But forget about who comes out tops, did you read that; two Africa nations at the World Cup final! That would be the day man. But hey, if EA sports can predict an all South America final who says we can’t have an all Africa final in Qatar). Here is what the Samuel Eto’o said “"Africa has always had the potential to deliver great World Cups, but we haven't always shown our best face so far. “Over the years, African teams have gained more and more experience, and I think they are ready not only to participate in a World Cup but also to win this competition.” “It would be a dream come true. For any player, winning titles is the ultimate goal. As president of our federation, I would love to see Cameroon win the World Cup.” Even though three African nations have reached the World Cup quarterfinals, no African nation has ever won the tournament. Ghana, Senegal, and Cameroon are the three teams that have advanced to the World Cup's last eight. Truth is African Nations haven’t done particularly well at the World Cups and even recent history haven’t been favorable but football can be very unpredictable and such is the beauty of the game so one cannot simply rule out anything. It’s seems like an unattainable feat but I do believe that our African contingents at this year’s World Cup have the capability to make the entire continent proud and I will be rooting for them but if Samuel Eto’o’s predictions do come to reality I’m personally building an alter in his name where I will fall down to worship him everyday and twice on Sundays…. |

Ondanteddd:You could hurt yourself if you have sex aggressively and in certain positions, trust me I know I know for a fact that sex is more physical and energy consuming than masturbation. There is no medical proof that masturbation causes erectile dysfunction- as for Psychological dysfunction like you mentioned in that context I think it’s normal that certain situations arouse us while other situations doesn’t there are words in the dictionary for different type of things and situations that people find sexually arousing. Masturbation is a sin, just like fornication and adultery if you can avoid them all especially if you are a Christian |
