HammedSodiqq: For a national figure like Elrufai not to know the implication of his action means he has been overrated all this while. Why crack a joke with the name of God? Why identify a Holy Being with infamity? No! no!! no!!! I beg to disagree with you on the bolded part. As far as i am concerned, Elrufai is not a national figure. What made him a national figure? Is it because he was the FCT Minister? Does being a state governor make other past governors national figures? Not at all. Or does being a Minister at one time or the other make former ministers national figures? How many Nigerians even know Elrufai? Do people in the rural areas all over the counrty know him? No! Does his name ring a bell in all the nooks and crannies of the country? No! Is his name a household name? No! Do school pupils and students learn about him? No! Is his name mentioned in school classes and lectures, like Wole Soyinka, etc? No! Please please please he doesn't deserve such noble qualification for all i care. He is a merely a figure in politics and NOT A NATIONAL FIGURE. Thanks. Im not surprised that Dino has supported him and Pastor Bakare has maintained silence. These are men who have sold their conscience desperately in search of political power. They've forgotten that it is God that gives power. Religion defines a man, especially when he recognizes how finite he is. Abusing people's religion is condemnable. Perhaps he has forgotten that these same people he is not respecting today, will determine his political future tommorow. Let's learn to respect everybody, their religion, and philosophy. As far as politics is involved, some people would surely sell their birthrights for a plate of yam porridge shaa. |
Deep Sight: Femi; I see you have conceded the point on privacy. And you are not aware that this picture could cost him his job abi? |

What the hell?! Who could have been behind this? Could it be the oppossition? Or school/ teenage rivals who felt jealous over her performance at the Obama's inauguration? May her soul rest in peace. |
I think Doyin Okukpe has made it clear that according to CBN records, the funds in the excess crude account as at the time Yaradua and Jonathan assumed power was 43 billion and has risen up to 45 billion now. So with due respect, where did Dr Oby get her figures from? Or was it mere assumptions. |
How was it possible for them to come into Nigeria from Mali without detection? What happened to border patrols? Or were the security men at the borders sleeping when they passed? |
Be that as it may, and from whichever angle one decides to look at the issue, the final conclusion is that ELRUFAI IS SIMPLY A FOOL |
Enough of these stealings of our cultural belongings. Let them keep returning |

Honestly, this is very callous. How can full grown men who their father had already established in life just waste their opportunities and then resort to kidnapping their own father, only to get money. What did they do with the foundation which their father had earlier laid for them? They are just lazy assses. We Nigerians really need to desist from this evil of kidnapping. And Nairalanders need to stop this their blattant support for kidnapping. It doesn't pay. Everday may be for the thief, but one day would surely be for the owner of the house and what goes around must surely come around. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed. |
PointB: I like the thread topic (though it could do with editing). And in the spirit of looking beyond this pretentious apology for blasphemy there seems to be an aspect many of us are missing - betrayal of trust and friendship! You have said it all. It 's a pure betrayal of trust and avoidance of one's own responsibilities. He simply wants to push the blame to zeebook. |
rooftech: Just heard over channels tv now. Efcc rearrest yakubu yusuf over police pension scheme fraudAre u sure? |
This goes a long way to show that that little mallam can go to any lenght just to demonstrate his hatred for Jonathan's administration. To the extent that he supports the use of The Name Of The Lord in vain. Meanwhile his apology on facebook is simply medicine after death. By the way, i even see that his so-called apology as more of an insult , because he still went further to berate Jonathan and his officials. One thing he must know is that what goes around comes around. |
Elrufai was trying to agree with zebbok that Jonathanians are allegedly allergic to criticism, but why would they use Our Lord Jesus Christ for such a joke or comparison? He definitely doesnt think with hs brain. |
Rhino.5dm: Silence is the best answer to a f00l like you |
Why is he looking so uncomfortable and unrelaxed in the picture? Or is his own big-boy-ism an uncomfortable experience? |

The 78- year-old kidnapped mother of the Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Kombowei Benson, has been set free by her abductors.Information Nigeria gathered that Madam Betinah Okunwa Benson was freed at about 10pm last night after eight days in kidnappers’ den. It would be recalled that Madam Benson was kidnapped at her country home Korokorosei in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State a week ago by about 10 gunmen in two speed boats who later demanded N40million Naira ransom for her freedom. But, spokesman for Mr. Kombowei Benson, Preye Kariamo, who confirmed the release of the aged woman, said she was handed over to members of her family by the officials of Sagbama Local Government Council hale and hearty but however denied payment of ransom. “No ransom was paid to secure her release. She is hale and hearty and has re-united with her Children” he said. http://www.informationng.com/2013/01/kidnapped-bayelsa-speakers-mother-regains-freedom.html |
